I truly don't recommend his services. I only took my daughter for one lesson. He was amazing. I paid his services through his website that he told me to do during the first lesson. The following week he got sick and called me with attitude for no reason. I've told him if you're sick please refrain from calling me until you get better. His response was sorry I'm under medication and I'm grumpy. Again I replied back please recover and we will talk when you're better no need to call me with attitude telling me my daughter isn't ready to play guitar in the next level. He had bad attitude. I know my daughter is a beginner and never played so I was so confused. The next day I get a text from him insisting for me to pay him $40 for an hour for his research he did that I didn't ask for while he was sick and we He said he took his time to do research. I'm confused because the research was never intended. I thought being a teacher you have to be prepare for your students so I don't understand where he is coming from with this. He asked us to send him her wish list and we did. My daughter has never played guitar so I signed her up to learn and not me. He calls me today to let me know he isn't feeling well and will need to cancel the course. Then I get a text from him that he refunded me the money for not having class tomorrow. Then texts me that he just refunded me the remaining balance and he rather me pay him in cash for the lessons. He called me telling me what my daughter needs to do (keep in mind idk angry about guitars), I told him can we call you after acusó you can speak to her since she knows more the notes than me. But then he gave me attitude. I told him thank you for your time. I will not continue with your services. He isn't polite or well mannered for a music teacher. If I knew I would teach my daughter but since I don't know that's why I signed her up. Be careful with his services.

I was in Waimanolo for a week with my musician cousin, and wanted to practice guitar. I called the local Guitar Center and their daily rental rate was really high. Left a message here, and Jimmy called back. For a more than fair price, he rented me a Yamaha Pacifica with an amp. He spent a considerable amount of time at his studio in an unassuming part of town showing us how everything worked. My cousin and I played music together on the lanai, and everyone was happy. When I returned the guitar, a young woman was taking a lesson and playing a Nirvana song excellently. Great little business!

Jimmy is a very dedicated, knowledgeable, and supportive music teacher. Over the years we have had a number of music teachers for our kids. Jimmy has been the best by far. He really goes out of his way to make it interesting and fun for his students. With Jimmy's help our daughter was able to get into both the Berklee College of Music and the Clive Davis Music Institute at NYU.Thank you so much Jimmy!

Guitar Honolulu, under the leadership of Mr. Jimmy Park, is the BEST guitar studio in town. Jimmy is encouraging and patient and FUN! After taking guitar lessons at another studio for two years and not really getting anywhere, our daughter is finally playing music that she knows and wants to play! That, by the way, directly correlates to practicing without being told and wanting to learn more. We wish we had started with Jimmy from the beginning, and hope everyone out there looking for guitar lessons will call Guitar Honolulu.Jimmy's studio is fully equipped with a huge selection of prepared sheet music (current, 80s, 90s and oldies) and recordings ready to get started. Jimmy will adjust his lessons to teach you the kind of music YOU want to learn. Jimmy also has the support of a computer system, printer, amps, speakers, microphones, an electric piano, a full drum set, the electric bass and so much more in his super clean, air conditioned studio. Plus, there is always ample parking out front! It's a no brainer: if you want to learn how to play the guitar, call Jimmy Park!!! You won't regret it!

Jimmy Park is a phenomenal Guitar instructor! Jimmy taught my my son starting at age 12 for 5 years (until he graduated from High School), from beginning Guitar to playing technical, virtuoso solos by Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pink Floyd and the like. If your goal is to just to learn to play a few simple songs or to become a serious musician and push the envelope of your musical capabilities, Jimmy Park can certainly take you there. Great personality - humble yet inspiring, patient, always positive and always motivating. He can teach any style; Hawaiian Slack key, contemporary, classic rock, works with children, adults, groups, bands. Highly recommended.
