Besides obviously being understaffed and some implied customer profiling by the staff that is there, the biggest problem is the website. According to the Guitar Center website, this store has nothing in stock of any type. No strings. No instruments. No music. No accessories. Nothing. Basically, on the site the store seems to be nothing but a sort of catalogue showroom where you go in and order stuff. As for the profiling, apparently seniors are basically invisible to the staff in the store. I waited for nearly an hour and never once got any assistance or asked if I needed any. Went in for an acoustic guitar and left with nothing but a note to self to never return there again unless I was really desperate. As another reviewer stated, calling the store is a waste because you never get an answer most of the time.And have you noticed how virtually every response from Guitar Center is the same no matter what the problem. Don't even go there with your canned generic virtually useless reply since I know from personal experience that NOTHING ever gets done to rectify the situation.

Excellent customer service- I had not used my Guitar Center credit card for a year so I embarrassingly found out that my card was closed and was rejected and I had no credit for the items I brought up to the counter. Unfortunately, I had a very small bag without my atm card or another credit card so I just reapplied to the Guitar Center credit line. I returned with my card info and bought my items. The sales cashier kept my items on the side for me so I was glad I didn't have to rechoose the gifts. Always helpful workers even last year when I needed xmas gifts

We shop here for my Son's guitar needs. Customer service is amazing. They offer music lessons on a monthly subscription. It's been a great experience so far. Micah is my Son's instructor and i highly recommend him!

Called on and off the entire day and phone was off the hook. What a way to do business.A friend told me they had a certain used guitar I should check out but their phone is off the hook so I couldn't tell if they still have it unless I drive across island in person.

Great staff, excessive air conditioning!!!I would give 5 stars, but my fingers are still thawing out from my time in the store. I think they should copy Chef Zone and have parkas for customers before they enter the walk in refrigerator they call a music store. Please fix this!!!!!

Went there to buy a guitar stand for a friend. I myself don't play an instrument. I was impressed at the great customer service they provided for such a small purchase. The salesman was also a musician and plays multiple instruments. I purchased a very high quality stand for a reasonable price. I had trouble using the gift card that came from an online purchase. They went beyond the call of duty in in figuring out a way I could use it for this purchase. Mahalo Guitar Center!!!

Our daughter wanted an electric guitar for her birthday and Pedro did an awesomeJob with getting us set up with a good "starter" set up for her. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything as we knew nothing about guitars before our visit. Thank you Pedro!

My wife was asked if she could pay cash for this sale. I can only speculate that the salesman sold her a damaged guitar and wanted cash because the instrument was either written off or paid by the company's insurer creating a double recover. She didn't know better until I conducted my personal investigation. Not only will my wife never come to this store again but she may never surprise me with another instrument formy birthday. I have never heard of similar complaints made against other competitors. I responded to your recent post that I already paid a reputable repair company $90 so I was unsure how you could help me except to reimburse me for this repair. BTW, selling us a damaged guitar voided any warranty in the future.
