Guava Smoked

Guava smoked has the most unusual BBQ I've ever had. The chicken and pork have such a moist and succulent taste. Not quite American BBQ and not quite Asian BBQ, it straddles and is uniquely its own thing. It is absolutely delicious. I also very much enjoy the salmon belly when the restaurant has it in stock. The galbi is elusive, I've never been in when it is in stock. Small parking lot. Casual. Indoor seating. Service is good. Please come and create your own experience.

The definition of a hidden gem - the entrance is in the back of a side street parking lot but absolutely worth the visit! All plates are made to order and the meat portions will help you hit your protein goal and more. Really enjoyed the outdoor seating overlooking the park.

Eh more of a tourist trap if anything, you can definitely skip this spot. Parking can be brutal and talking to the employees can be like pulling teeth. They are welcoming but it took one of them about 15 minutes to explain to me that the butterfish they were serving wasn't properly marinated and wouldn't taste good if I ordered it.Why not just take it off the menu if that's the case lol who wants to order something that isn't prepared correctly?Their response to this was... "I just telling u so when u order um and it tastes bad u know come up here and blame me." Ok. Why would u let anyone order that lol. That's when I walked out the door.

Used to love this place... maybe it's the location. Got a mix plate and the amount of meat in the box was kind of shocking and not in a good way. There were only 5 pieces of pork and maybe 7 pieces of chicken. Very overpriced. Pork was still good but 2 of the pieces were burnt not just a little but the kind that's inedible. The entire box was filled with rice that came out of a cooler and it was hard. Won't be coming back again. I'll try the original location next time again.

Fire! Have been waiting over a year to try this place. Last year when we visited it was unfortunately closed. Loved the smokiness of both pork and chicken sandwiches. Loved the flavor of the mac salad, the only interesting taste of the salad dressing was something I could not put my finger on. The bun was flavorful and soft, the meat was warm, juicy and fresh. Will def come back and try more things. The guava bar was also a highlight in the meal, not to forget the signature Hawaiian guava juice. The service was fast and friendly. The decor matched and was not generic or over the top.

They do a good job of getting the smoke flavor in the meat but the pork was a little greasy. The meat is very flavorful. Overall, if you're in the mood for smoked meats this would be the place!

This is definitely a good cheap eats near Waikiki located on the 2nd floor across the street from the Zippy's on Kapahulu Ave.I placed an order for a smoked pork plate for $10 and found the taste to be surprisingly good. The place has lots of seats as I have noticed that most customers were coming by to order take outs.

4.5 stars! This place has been bookmarked for years and I finally got to try it during my recent visit. I got their mixed plate with a chicken quarter and spicy pork. It came with a side of mac salad and two scoops of white rice.. total came to around $20.Price point - not too bad considering the huge serving and for Hawaii standardsFlavor - both meat were delicious but they could be more flavorful, in my opinion. The "spicy" pork could use more kick as well. The mac salad was actually more delicious than most places.Space - lots of seats and they have an outdoor, balcony area as well where you can see a nice view of the roadFor a future visit, I wish I upgraded to guava fried rice. I didn't know it only comes with white rice by default, though that rice was actually really good as well.They have other meat and seafood options like kalbi, salmon etc which I'll most likely try next time.

Takeout was quick and easy. They sell just the meats, which is super nice for takeout. 10 oz is quite a lot! We tried the smoked pork, smoked chicken, and butterfish collars. All had really good, unique flavors, not too salty, a dry smokiness. Great BBQ spot!

I had a great experience at Guava Smoked! The food was delicious, and like always in Hawaii, the people were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I tried the Stuffed Blueberry French Toast, and it was amazing--perfectly sweet, rich, and full of flavor. The combination of the fluffy toast, creamy filling, and fresh blueberries made for a perfect breakfast treat. If you're in the area and looking for a great meal with a laid-back and friendly atmosphere, I highly recommend checking this place out!
