Happy Lunar New Year!I was looking for something for the upcoming lunar new year and I was in the area to purchase some dinner items and of course seeing the eye catching vibrance of red that filled up the outside of the shop as I've passed here countless times but never really gave them a look.Delightful shop owner instantly greets me and asks me what I'm looking for which I replied "I don't know!" lol! Following me and keep asking though I know I was looking for something just not knowing as I browse upon the mountain of plush dragons and the tower of red envelopes. I saw some cute keychains with various animals from the Chinese horoscope and thought they looked pretty cute and grabbed a couple which they put in envelope since I told them they were gifts...the envelopes kept breaking which I didn't mind as I'm using them in another way.They had so many items here and at such great prices it was still quite overwhelming to shop in here with your personal shopper constantly at your side but a great nice place and wished I could've spent more time here.Thank you!

Me and my friend were looking for a qipao dress. A lady came up to help but once she saw me, she said that she doesn't know if she has anything in my size. I'm a M in US size...but regardless of what her opinion was, I walked to look at their qipao. We found one that fitted me and the lady asked me to try it out. I did but I didn't like the style. Asked her if there were other styles she has and she said no. What got us uncomfortable was that she said if we wanted that qipao today then it would be $280 (including tax). We knew we were getting ripped off because a qipao should cost around $100. That's how much our parents bought their qipao for at this store. Since we don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese (Like our parents), we just told the lady we will be back with the parents. Lesson learn, take a Chinese speaker with you or else get ripped off. Lol

We stopped into a related store that is not on Yelp named Rose Garden Creativity, Inc. at 60 No. Hotel St. We were looking for some period Chinese bowls. The proprietress had a set of four matching bowls at Rose Garden and asked us to follow her back to Guan Hua to look for a fifth bowl. Alas, we didn't find the fifth bowl, but we had a pleasant experience in trying. Both stores have an eclectic mix of items. Think of these stores as a combination trinket shop and vintage shop. We ended up browsing some very interesting period pieces and haggled to get our four matching ceramic bowls.

I was in Chinatown looking for lunch and I ran across this store, Rose Garden Creativity.Gua Hua is a sister store. I was looking for some Asian bowls and the first store brought me to this location since I wanted 5 bowls. I found my 4 Chinese bowls and I was thrilled at the first store. The lady took me to the other store down the street. The ladies are very nice! If you are not use to Chinese customer service, it might be a shock to you, but hold your ground. Great selection of items and I was able to negotiate a price for the bowls I wanted. If you are in search of Chinese goods, come here.

Go and see Kitty. She knows her stuff and is fair with her prices and with bargaining. I came into the store with a very last minute need for a Cheongsam dress. She did everything she could to help me find something that worked for me. And she (in the best way possible) told me that sizing me was a little tough because of my big ole butt. It's a good store with quality items! Highly recommend a stop here!

Chinese merchandise!I was looking for Xin Xin Fashion (Chinese clothing shop) when I discovered that it closed and combined with this furniture/jewelry store.Wow...they have everything! I saw dishes, red envelopes, figurines, calendars, cabinets, jade bracelets, purses, blouses, children's clothing, brass candle holders, antique vases, dresses and more!The service was helpful and the air conditioning was satisfactory!Lots of gift ideas here...I'll be back!

As a local I can honestly say they have the BEST selection and pricing for cheongsam / Qipao, Qun Kwa and traditional Chinese wedding dresses. Every few years I go back and get a new Qipao from them.They don't have much now due to shipping issues but still have more selection than anywhere else. If you're a tourist and only have time for one shop to find a Chinese dress, go here.It's a must see shop for anyone looking for Chinese traditional clothing.

If you want someone to tail you throughout the store, this is your go to. I've been here a few times because they actually have some cute things. But their constant shadowing me and persistent asking,, "what about this?", "you like this?", "this one nice..." Coming here is a turn off

We appreciate them so much esp the owner. My wife complained about her purchased and they were willing to correct it. Customer satisfaction is their number one priority. Will recommend this store to our friends and family.

The 5 stars are for excellent customer service and for the extensive collections of jade bangles.I went in to look at a lapis bangle. I seen them before and they are rather rare. I know a great deal about gemstone so shopping in China town is not a problem for me. My 5 and 1/2 inch wrists was a challenge that day in finding a bangle. I get to meet the owner and she told me she will be going to China soon and she can actually find a lapis bangle that would fit my tiny wrists. The sales lady that day spent over an hour on me. I tried many many bangles and finally decided on a red jade bangle. This is the place if you are looking for jade jewelry. They have all sizes. The sales lady will help you find whatever you are looking for. Outstanding customer service.
