Grace's Inn

Local food spot that has been around for years. This is my first time trying it. I wish I did earlier. The place looks like a modern diner. One of these cheap eat places. There were so many options on the menu along with daily specials. I had the chicken katsu plate, which I heard is known here. The food was made fresh. The chicken katsu so crispy and tender. Soo good. No need sauce. Got the mini size and ate it all! So many options that I need to be back to try other plates.

We'll update on Grace's inn I used to go to the other location in Waimalu but they closed down . So today I was in the area of Grace's on Beretania craving for Chinese chicken salad since Donna .O and my sister said it was Ono . Well for me it was a little below average because the wun tun pi was stale , and the chicken was dry and their sauce was very tangy. I can make a better sauce than that LOL ! Service was friendly and whenever I go there seems like their A/C is always on the blink . The dinning room was very warm and not comfortable. So I quickly ate the Salad and I rushed out of there .Support local only whenever it's possible

My husband did tell me to keep my expectations low and I wanted to try it.We took out 2 plates on a Sunday night. Spicy pork & chicken katsu : the spicy pork is not korean style. They use the same pork from their roast pork or shoyu pork and just add on a different sauce. Their chicken katsu wasn't bad, I liked their sauce. Mac salad wasn't good.. very relish/pickle flavor heavy. Shoyu pork & mochiko chicken: pork was eh. Mochiko chicken was good.If I came back maybe I'll try the hamburgers but I don't think I'd get a plate lunch from here. Maybe just the fried chicken stuff.

I remember going to Grace's when it was on S beretania street right at the corner of mccully and beretania st by the rent for all store . Now that place is no longer there. And maybe it's the same one that moved next to the times Supermarket and Epi ya bakery. Shout out to Donna O for posting about their oriental Chinese chicken salad. It was very good had it for lunch. I wished they had more salad dressing with the salad don't know if we could of ask for another one. My husband said it was good except the chicken was just a tad dry. I said it was ok to me. Will buy it again and maybe ask for another extra salad dressing. Saw the daily menu maybe try something else to try.They are temporarily close on Wednesdays

It's been awhile since I've been to Grace's. I usually bought the roast pork plate. This was my goto at their former location on S Beretania St. That's was a long time ago. Anyway my wife read something from Donna O. about the Oriental Chicken salad. Yes it was good. Crisp lettuce, sprinkled with one ton pi and Chicken. They gave an ample amount of orientalsalad dressing. There is seating for dine in, but it was warm. Ac must not be working. The overall the inside showed it's age Service was good. Enjoy.

Grace's Inn long time local favorite. From humble beginnings (food truck serving food at University of Hawaii) to the current location on Beretania. Locally owned and operated. They serve a wide variety of local favorites. Chicken Katsu, Teri Pork, Teri Beef, to name just a few. Something we've always liked was that they always put some Chow Fun under your entree. All entrees come with your choice of salad, macaroni, Kim Chee, or greens. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Grace's is a consistent go to. It's the best chicken katsu on the island as far as we're concerned. We go weekly!

Nostalgia...Grace's Inn is a place I remember as a family friend had helped the owner get started with suggestion to their plates and with that have visited them numerous times since she's such a great cook.It's been years and years since and gotten lost in my thoughts though never far from my heart had finally gotten the opportunity for breakfast since they do open early at 7am was perfect...almost as they currently are closed on Wednesday GAH! hopefully not for long as the hump day is a day I need the energy but did go on another day and was so happy to see how spacious this location is and wished I could've enjoyed and stay to sit causally to enjoy my morning though off to work I go.I ordered the mini breakfast with scrambled eggs and Portuguese sausage and upgraded to fried rice all was nice though the egg was a bit done and looked more like a crepe than scrambled but in general being in a pinch was a great place to grab a bite with lots of parking right beside the restaurant and with lots of breakfast items to choose from that runs til 11am weekdays and 12pm on weekends you don't need to rush over to get your fix.Thank you!

Longtime haven't had graces Got the chicken katsu curry, chicken katsu with fried noodles, and seafood mixed plates. The Katsu was not fluffy like before and seafood seemed flattened. The noodles were greatHopefully I just came on an off day but will come back again to try

Horrible! 40 minutes and counting for two plate lunches. Time to walk out, get a refund, and never come back. The service and food have been deteriorating for years. Good bye
