This place has Korean fried chicken and lots of other Korean dishes. This time we came in for the tteokboki. We opted for the rose version as it's not as spicy as the regular version. We also got a side order of bulgogi kimbap. The tteokboki was flavorful and filled with lots of rice cakes and fish cakes. I used the sauce to dip my kimbap into. Overall delicious and super nice and friendly staff.

Good Chicken Waikiki, located in the lower level of the Japanese food court, is a hidden gem for chicken lovers. Stepping into the cozy, casual space, you feel an instant excitement as the aroma of freshly fried chicken fills the air. This unassuming spot has a straightforward menu, but they take their chicken very seriously. We decided to go for the original flavor chicken wings, and they did not disappoint. The wings were served piping hot, practically straight from the fryer. The crispy, golden-brown coating had just the right amount of crunch, giving way to an incredibly juicy and tender interior. It's clear they've perfected their frying technique because every bite was as flavorful as it was satisfying. The wings' seasoning was a subtle yet delicious blend that highlighted the chicken itself rather than overpowering it, a nod to the quality of the ingredients they use. These wings aren't dripping in sauce, but that's their charm. Instead, the flavor is cooked right into the skin, making for a clean, savory taste with a hint of saltiness.Another highlight was the heat, served at an ideal, mouth-burning temperature that keeps you craving the next bite. For those who love freshly fried chicken that maintains its crispy integrity with every bite, Good Chicken Waikiki is worth the visit. It was pure perfection!

I went inside STIX Asia looking for a place to eat and stumbled across Good Chicken. We ordered the chili garlic chicken wings and rose tteokbokki. The dining area was really nice and clean. The wait wasn't long at all; for a restaurant, we had to approach the counter to pick up our food instead of having it brought to us.The chili garlic wings were the best I've ever had. They were crispy, flavorful, and had the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Although they were supposed to be spicy, there wasn't much heat. The dish did come with small chili peppers as a garnish, though! The rose tteokbokki was amazing as well. The sauce was thick and creamy, and I loved the toppings, like the fish cake. In most places I've tried, the rice cakes are too hard, but theirs were soft and cooked perfectly.I totally recommend.

Food is exactly what it says it is...GOOD CHICKEN! The service was fast. The menu was easy to read. I like that they have suggestions on there. The place is a little loud with the music playing but I guess it keeps the place upbeat. I liked it and more than likely will be a repeat customer. Even if I were to eat somewhere else down there, I'd probably get an order of wings to go.

We really enjoyed sharing the shoyu chicken and agreed it really was "good chicken." Flavorful, good amount for the price, and easily shareable. We look forward to coming back and trying more!

We returned home from cruising East Asia just in time to celebrate May's AAPIHM (Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month) as we had been gorging ourselves on Japanese, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, and Hakka), Vietnamese, and Singaporean foods on land but onboard, we ate gourmet French, Italian, Pan Pacific and American Steakhouse favorites. We missed home-style cooking, and my husband, a deep-fried food aficionado, complained about having "withdrawal symptoms" because of not having any opportunities to eat KFC or Korean Fried Chicken anywhere. So, the first chance we got, we considered going to his favorite Korean Fried Chicken joint, Good Chicken Kaka'ako. Still, I noticed Good Chicken Kaka'ako had expanded to Waikīkī's STIX Asia Food Hall with a new menu and suggested we grab lunch and an urban hike to Waikīkī. We shortened and changed from our usual route from Kaka'ako to Waikīkī and arrived at STIX Asia's Food Hall within an hour. From the STIX Asia's entrance on Kalākaua Avenue, we immediately found the Good Chicken Waikīkī food stall. As we approached the food stall, the owner (same as the Kaka'ako site) recognized my husband and cheerfully greeted and welcomed us to his restaurant. Although it was near noontime or peak lunch hour, there weren't any customers yet. The owner seated us and assisted us in deciding our menu selections with tasty descriptions. FOOD:- ORIGINAL Korean Fried Chicken Wings (10 pieces): it was a "no brainer" that my husband immediately chose this item. The fried chicken wings had Good Chicken's signature thin, crisp battered crust with moist, flavorful, and well-done chicken wing meat (flats and drummettes). On the side was a small container of "chicken-mu" or vinegar-pickled radish to help cut the greasiness. $18.95-Pan-fried Pork Mandoo (5 pieces): The pan-fried mandoo or dumplings were served with soy sauce pickled onions banchan like another appetizer. The owner offered us his homemade kimchi (not too spicy but just right) to pair with the mandoo. The plump dumplings were packed with a tasty filling, and their wrapper was delicate and thin. $9.95-Kyoja Kalguk-su: Seeing Kyoja Kalguk-su on the menu made me think about Seoul Korea's Bib Gourmand Restaurant, Myeongdong Kyoja that's famous for its knife-cut noodles (kalguk-su), plump and tender mandoo and comforting chicken broth. We shared this soup noodle dish; as expected, it was delicious and soul-satisfying. Good Chicken also offers this soup noodle as a spicy version, but we ordered the mild version and added kimchi into the broth. $14.95The female server was polite, friendly, and attentive. She appeared new to this restaurant, but her hospitality training in this setting was a significant positive sign. We wish Good Chicken Waikīkī continued success and we'll be back!

10/10 would recommend!Everything was SOOO yummy! I tried the garlic chili chicken and the rose tteok bok ki!I am normally not a chicken wings kind of girl, but these flavors were perfectly addicting. JUST WOW! The outside of the chicken was just the right amount of crunchy, sweet, and spicy. Cooked perfectly! Not weird or greasy -like some chicken wings can get.The rose tteok bok ki was actually really good. I have never tried anything like this before. It reminds me of gnocchi-style pasta with a Korean twist. A spicy, cheesy, creamy, chewy rice cake, pasta. Interesting and addicting. I really enjoyed my meal here, and I can't wait to bring my husband the next time!Ambiance: Cute, very comfortable inside seating. And the table I sat at (the back corner booth) had really great lighting for pictures... winning!

I was so happy to see a GOOD Korean restaurant finally opened inside Stix Asia. I was craving Korean Fried Chicken while strolling the food hall and walked in. We were immediately seated at the booth after some shopping. The owner recommended great dishes from honey soy fried chicken, spicy kalguksu (house made noodles), house made mandoo (pan fried), and bulgogi kimbap. The mandoo came out 1st and O loved that it was piping hot and had japchae noodles inside. Next came the kimbap which had cukes and carrots julienne finely, perfectly diced pickled radish, imitation crab, shredded beef, and omelet. So fresh and tasty. The fried chicken was hot, crunchy, and not overly sauced. Good chicken indeed. The noodles were definitely fresh and the soup was a bit on the spicy side for me, but Hubs loved it.Apparently their original location is in Kakkaako. Will definitely come back to try other things.

We were doing a Staycation in Waikiki and while visiting the Waikiki Shopping Plaza we saw that Good Chicken was in Stix Asia! They used to be near Ward when I first tried them and always remembered they had the best pan fried Pork Mundoo! Came on a weekday for lunch and it wasn't crowded at all. They have about 8 tables, we ordered at the counter. The guy behind the counter is the owner, and he was friendly he took our order and wiped my hubby's chair at his request. The ambiance is just like an L & L , but the food is better. My husband ordered the Boneless Honey Shoyu Chicken plate which came with 2 scoops rice and tossed salad. He enjoyed it.I just ordered the 10 piece Pan Fried Pork Mundoo. Big Mundoo, love that they put long rice noodles in it. Pan fried and they are crisp yet soft and chewy! So good! They have drinks in a chiller and we just grabbed what we wanted and paid at the counter when we were done eating, the owner kept an open tab in case we wanted anything else. Satisfied!Forgot to take pics cause I was starving!

Delicious Korean fried chicken! The business is located in Stix Asia. I had lunch one day and shared an order of garlic chilli fried chicken wings (bone in). The French fries were just okay, but the chicken is delicious.
