Had to go over some tour information on our next tour with customer and decided to go to Golden Duck close by.I had the lunch plate which was good it came with Kau yuk, sweet sour spareribs, crispy won ton, pork chop Suey and white rice.They give good portions and had to get a take out. The dinner plate had cold ginger chicken, sweet sour spareribs, beef broccoli, crispy won ton and fried rice. They have parking and can hold groups parties.Restroom towards the back of dinning area.

Always hesitated to try cause I thought it was inauthentic- finally tried and thought the food is quite good as well as the perfect bowl of aromatic and steaming bowl of rice! I thought the honey walnut shrimp was too thickly battered but otherwise everything else was tasty- Service can be slow if you dont wave them down or physically go to the server- but great for Seniors or anyone that needs ample parking !

Definitely recommend Golden Duck! We always pass by, but never stopped here until recently. Ordered takeout and enjoyed the food. We got the minute chicken cake noodle, crispy gau gee, and beef with broccoli. The flavors were good--typical Hawaii Chinese flavors. We should have called it in but didn't. Wait wasn't too bad. There's plenty of parking around the building, making pickup easy. Overall, a solid choice for takeout.

"It's another Chinese restaurant" Golden Duck is located near the corner of King and Piikoi and has been at this location for many a year. They took over the space once occupied by Kapiolani Bakery. They have the usual Chinese dishes that one expects at a Chinese restaurant but one regular offering that is tasty and vegetarian is their Jai. Also called monk's food, this is a dish that is normally made around Chinese new years.If you order take-out make sure you spell your name and know your order. Sometimes they found the many orders based on the order itself, not the name. If you go around meal time, it can be a zoo. But, usually worth the trouble. They have parking and is pretty easy to get in and out. They're not super friendly but pretty efficient.

Went back for for 2nd try. Better this time. Normally go for daily specials. Lab day holiday lunch. Dine in. Monday daily special. Minute chicken cake noodle $14.95 requested gravy on side, garlic ong choy, 4 pieces crispy gau gee (didn't get it in last order). Owner Aaron, cousin Casey, and Nephew were there. Serving portion are good for price. Bring down empty boxes for them next time. (For their take out orders)

We went for lunch and did family style. We think the portions are smaller but that's at most eatablishments. The dishes were tasty and fresh. Service was so so. We had to hold pot of teapot up for refill of hot water.

Today I stopped by Golden Duck to get a dinner plate for my friend. Pretty big restaurant lots of tables 10 tops also seating for 4 also booths available.I noticed most Chinese restaurants do also sell homemade shrimp chips along with rice cake as well . This particular restaurant has all kinds of seeds , almond cookies , also tea cookies. I've also noticed their Almond cookies is from Sing Cheong bakery Chinatown. I guess restaurants it's easier for them to consignment products and just mark up the price a little . Instead of making homemade goods and it may not sell .Support local
