Stopped here a few times but only for take out. Of all the times I've been there, I've only seen people dining in once. I've picked up at all different times from lunch to dinner hours and they always pick up the phone and usually only take 15-20 minutes no matter how big or small the order is. There is lots of seating indoors but not sure how they would accommodate if they were truly busy as the parking lot only holds so many cars connected to a gas station. But you can't miss it right on the corner. So far so good the food I've ordered has been to my liking. I actually prefer their duck over other places I've tried, it's consistently meaty, tasty and juicy. I do also like their combo plate, it offers such a variety of food for an affordable price. I've also purchased goodies in their display such as seeds or cookies which they sell by the pound at competitive market pricing.

Scammers!Sorry, I didn't want to put negativity out there during the holiday season but beware. My aunt is visually impaired (blind and walks with a cane). My uncle, is in his mid 80's and just signs credit card slips without looking. The restaurant not only added a three percent credit card service fee but an 18 percent gratuity on top of the said three percent fee AND Hawaii GET (making the gratuity just shy of 20 percent). This was for a TAKEOUT order.Taking advantage of the disabled and elderly. Shame on you!!!

We went there to check out a new lunch place to hold briefings for our tour luncheon. The parking lot was full only 10 parking spaces, but only 2 other tables had diners there was a lady waiting for her take out order, so limited parking, but was advised if on Saturday and Sunday they can park on the street. They have a large menu of items to choose from.My wife had the dinner plate, because she wanted to taste a variety of items they carried. She enjoyed the crispy Gau gee and sweet sour spareribs she said the flavor was very good and tender. The Kau yuk had good flavor, but some parts of the meat was too tough to eat.The fried rice was dry and no taste so she didn't eat much of it.The noodles also wasn't flavorful and moist, she prefers the wet type with sauce.Must be she had a lot left over because the waitress asked her if she needed a take out box, which she didn't.I ordered the wor Gau gee min which was tasty with a lot of different vegetables and herbs they had green onions, cilantro, won bok, carrots, Choi sum and broccoli. Also good portions of sliced beef and shrimp. This is one of the better wor Gau gee min I tried from a lot of different Chinese restaurants. They have a separate men and women restroom, it is pretty narrow, but pretty clean. They don't accept Discover card only Master card or visa or cash

The fried rice here was LOADED with char siu! I've tried three restaurants in Kaneohe and all of them were very disappointing. The char siu was shredded and sparse...All rice; no meat. I'm sorry, but I judge a Chinese restaurant by how well they make their fried rice and this place hands-down is the best I have had recently. I will be coming back to Golden City for my fried rice fix, and plan to bring my family for dinner here soon. I'd love to try their other dishes...

I remember when the previous owner at Golden City the service was really good and the food was delicious and not very salty. Now they have a new owner and now everything is going downhill. The ambiance is okay but the food and service was bad. I ordered takeout of hot and sour soup and char siu fried rice. The menu stated that both my items cost $14.95 each but my total ended up being $36.10. It seems that i was charged an 18% gratuity with an add on of 3% credit card service fee. I ended up paying because i was hungry and i wanted to leave as soon as possible! The char siu fried rice had a good ratio of char siu and rice but way too salty. The hot and sour soup was again too salty and too much wood ear mushroom. Service was not very nice.

These guys are re a solid three stars like their reviews say. The service is good and the food above average. They also give good portion sizes and even take orders over the phone up to 10 minutes before they close. They're my go to when it's close to 9pm closing time.

It's a classic local style Chinese restaurant that becoming harder and harder to find I find the food to be very fresh and tasty it's a bit out of my way but worth the extra drive time the service is always wonderful

Made an order on their app to take to a Super Bowl party, and chose to pay cash as I do not have a credit card I went to pick it up and they refused my payment because my money had a stain on it. So now I am going to a party with nothing in hand. They rather not take $100 bill that has a stain on it and waste food. and it's not like I don't go there all the time. They also have my email address my phone number everything on their app if they thought or found out that the money was no good and they have the nerve to send me a text saying that my order was declined because my credit card was declined, I never made a credit card payment

My other half wanted to eat Chinese food and this was the only Chinese restaurant open for dine in at the time so we ended up dining in. We ordered orange chicken, charsiu fried rice, beef broccoli, wonton, sweet n sour spareribs. The orange chicken does not taste like how it used to, beef broccoli was not flavored to my liking the beef had a different taste than I'm used to. The wonton and sweet n sour spareribs was the only two dishes that was ok.
