Not amazing, not bad but frustrating. Many fishing vessels and charters over the years, this one was mediocre to say the least. Deck hands should had been changing lures every few hours, unfortunately did not happen. Changing locations, and moving back to areas when getting bites was non existent. Probably look for other options.

Captain, Chris and first mate Ricky were fabulous! Really rough day on the water, but they made the best of it, and we hauled in 100 pounds of mahi-mahi, yellowtail, and a beautiful wahoo. Good eating around the house the rest of the week! Cannot recommend these guys enough!

Decent day of fishing but a few things that will keep me from returning.Lesson learned: One thing we did not know was that we could NOT keep all the fish caught. According to the captain, they kept some and sell the rest to the local market for a greater profit. There is nothing on the website that states this policy and it was a punch in the gut as the 5 of us were all ready to take the fish home as Hawaii residents. My research concludes that many charters do the same, so always ask upfront before booking. There are some that let you keep what you catch, regardless of size.NEXT, the captain and the mate did NOT get along very well. The first mate (Danny) was an unprofessional, hot-headed jerk. A look at the website reveals that both do not seem to be employees anymore.Regardless, because of the fish policy, I will not return. View my video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlIqR4arQ_A

I found Go Fishing Hawaii and Kala (the owner) through a colleague that is good friends with Kala. From start to finish, the booking process with Kala was friendly, flexible and very simple. I received email confirmation with instructions, and a reminder email a few days before. Keaka, our Captain for the day, called me the day before with a reminder of the instructions. Morning of our half day charter we met Keaka at the Haleiwa Boat Harbor. He let us know he was short handed has his crewmember/deckhand was out sick. Honestly, I wouldn't have known the difference. He quickly and efficiently set everything up.This trip was primarily for my father in law who was visiting from Florida and even fishes in local leagues there. It was a bit of a slow day... the guys could see the fish but they just weren't biting. I was getting worried that my father in law would leave without catching anything. Keaka had some flexibility in the afternoon and was able to keep us out a little longer to ensure we caught something. My father in law ended up bringing in two beautiful mahi-mahi and I'm so thankful that he made sure this trip was a win. Kala and Keaka, thanks for making his vacation a good one!

This was my family's first deep sea fishing adventure in about ten years. Everyone from the owner to the crew were awesome. It was easy to book and coordinate. We had bad weather one day and the were understanding with us to reschedule. Once we got on the boat, the day was fantastic! We caught 23 Mahi Mahi and the crew kept it fun the whole time. Our half day excursion was extended when we came across a lost net with 50 or so Mahi Mahi and Ono. Unfortunately, there was a porpoise in the area that scared them. In the winter, swells on the North Shore are larger than in the south. Something to keep in mind if anyone in your party gets sea sick. Overall, excellent crew, excellent boat, excellent time! I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

We recently visited Oahu for the first time and this charter was absolutely one of our highlights. This was our first time deep sea fishing and I could not have asked for a better experience. Kala, the owner, was extremely insightful when I called him to learn more about our options and spent much more time on the phone with me than any other charter I called as we explored our options. Captain Christian called us the night before and walked us through what to do in advance, what to expect and what to bring. He and Danny (his assistant) were very engaging and informative. You can tell they are good at what they do and were really working hard to make the experience as best as it could be.My 9 year old son said this was his most favorite part of the vacation and we came home with two large Mahi when all the other boats around us were not catching anything.I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to have an amazing fishing experience.

Go Fishing Hawaii did not disappoint. Keaka was an awesome fishing guide and captain. He made sure my husband caught his bucket list yellow fin tuna, mahi mahi and wahoo. It was a great day on the water. Keaka gave all he had to ensure we had an awesome day. The owner, Kala, met us at the dock at the end of the day to make sure your trip was enjoyable. Great people, phenomenal day of fishing. Highly recommend Go Fishing Hawaii.

We opted for the bottom fishing, so small reed fish. Capt. Ray was patient and an amazing fish finder. He helped our little crew catch 15 fish in about 2 hours. We also stopped twice to watch turtles, which was unexpected and appreciated. Easy, exciting, and fun family times for all. The boat is comfortable for our party of 6 too, especially when he turned off the engines. Highly recommend!

If I can give negative stars I would. Spent $1140 for a private full day charter. Confirmed our booking the night before. Woke up at 3am to prepare, buy snacks and water from convenience store, rented a car because their location is in north shore. Drove 45mins from waikiki. Got to the harbor at 4:50AM no where to be found. Called hundreds of times to figure out whats going on. No Answer. Messaged all social media platforms they have, no answer. Texted and facetimed their number. We waited there until 6AM, calling and calling but NOTHING. All the other boats in the harbor left already. Sadly this was our last adventure in our Hawaii trip and this is what we will take back home. Absolute garbage. It wasnt until 9:30AM they called saying they dont know what happened, she will call her boss to figure it out. 10:20AM got a voicemail saying some bullshit excuse that it was high winds so they were gonna cancelled but sorry because they didnt communicate. Full utter bullshit excuse. We were at the harbor, it wasnt windy at all. All the other boats in the harbor left to go fishing. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Such lame excuse.
