Glenn’s Piano Service

Though I await patiently for my scheduled appointment, I have a positive feeling about my future service and it's exciting as I anticipate something good will become of it. I don't want to get my hopes up high and then be let down but the energy is overwhelming. For now it's que sera sera, what ever will be will be. I'm simply wishful thinking that a piano service can be a wonderful experience and fun. Full of gratitude, laughter and smiles. Musically in the key of life!I'm soooo excited

When Mr. Blees told me last year that he was retiring, I was really worried because he was the only piano tuner I knew of on Oahu. He assured me that he was working with someone to take over.Fast forward to this year, and the new owner, Phil Glenn, was able to tune my piano this past Saturday (10/30/21) and he did an excellent job!My piano is not only in tune, but he even was able to de-brighten (is that a word?) the piano's sound so I can finally play the very quiet passages in Claire de Lune correctly. I did not know such a modification was possible, but I'm happy he was able to do it!

Thanks to the positive Yelp reviews and the Willem Blees website, I called and scheduled a piano tuning time with him. He was friendly and easy in scheduling a date and time to have our piano tuned.Mr. Blees was on time. He introduced himself, asked how long ago we tuned the piano and quickly got busy tuning our piano. He took about an hour to tune our upright. The piano sounds great thanks to him. If you are looking for someone to tune or work on your piano, I would not hesitate to call him. His tuning fees are good too.

I didn't even think to review our piano tuner until I googled his name to get a phone number and his yelp page showed up - I guess I don't think about reviewing someone who comes to us!Anyhow, we've had excellent service from Willem. He's always courteous, friendly, prompt, does a great job, and charges a reasonable amount for service. He's recommended some products for us to combat corrosion in this climate and they are doing their job, as far as I know. It's always been very easy to make appointments, whether it's 6 months or a few days out. He's not limited to Mililani, either - IIRC, he's told us he even travels to neighbor islands also.

My Baldwin upright has been brought back to life.He is wonderful, reasonable and easy to communicate with. The pads on my hammer were beginning to peel off, but he offered to reinforce them, which buys me a few years and makes it unnecessary to spend $1400 replacing them. I do not recall the exact prices, but I believe basic tuning was around $140 and the hammer reinforcements around... $250?Excellent service and now I can return to playing and also make an honorable attempt to teach my children how to play.

Phil is a magician! My nonprofit music festival scheduled him for four piano tunings in one week. Each piano was different and Phil was so detailed in his work. From voicing to making the hammer sounds better, Phil made our performances sound incredible.He is very professional and responsive and I couldn't recommend anyone better. Anytime I have a concert with piano or need a technician, I will surely use Phil!

I'm a student at the studio and the lessons are affordable and very enjoyable. I've been there for 5-6 years and my piano skills have excelled. Ms. Candra, the piano instructor is very patient with her students and cares for each one. Ms. Candra gives her students time to get used to a new song. She helps her students with their errors and mistakes to make them a professional piano player. I recommend her services so much!!!

I am writing this review regarding the new owner (Phil Glenn and his wife Lynn) that I meant to do couple weeks ago. I have an old 1988 piano which hadn't been used for over 20 years, but recently started taking online lessons and fulfilling my bucket list and there were a few sticky keys and I knew it could use a tuning. There are only a handful of piano tuners on the island and Phil was highly recommended (and had the most reviews or atleast his predecessor did) but when I went online, I would have to wait 3-4 weeks for an opening. I settled and made an appointment with my second choice person who was cheaper but I had a check in my spirit when I asked him about the senior discount rate he advertised on his website - he said that's only for his regular customers. I thought that wasn't right. He also only had Saturdays open because he said he saves the weekdays for his regular 4000 customers. I just didn't like his pridefulness but made the appointment anyway. But one evening about a week after that, I decided to go online again and look at reviews and I came across Phil Glenn's calendar and there was an actual opening next morning (it was already 11pm the night before). When I tried to make the appointment online, it said because of the closeness of the appointment, to call. I sent a text to the phone listed and next morning, sent an email also. Long story short, Phil and his lovely wife came to my house that morning and they were excellent! He told me my piano looked in great condition considering how long it hadn't been used, showed me a few things, explained a few things and before long, had my piano sounding great!I was so thrilled that I was able to now have a "new" piano and didn't have to wait a whole month with the few frustrating sticky keys. I consider it divine intervention that this opening opened up (he said his customer who was supposed to use him was sick last minute) and I just happened to see it when I did. They made me very happy and I would definitely use them again. They are nice, patient, humble, honest...what more could anyone want?
