He did a great job on our wedding at The Kahala Hotel & Resort. We really like his style and professionalism while shooting. He also did a great job in the prep work discussing what shots we wanted. His price was also very fair. We highly recommend him.

Holy smokes - Garrett was amazing! Our wedding was at The Kahala, and beforehand we went through the web sites of every photographer they recommend... and Garrett's photos looked so unique and beautiful! The angles and composition were fantastic... I work in the graphic design industry so that really stands out =). We knew this was the right fit.Meeting Garrett in person he was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable, especially about the location and environment. We were having photos at sunset, and he looked up the exact time, planned out how many minutes it would take us to walk from here to there, etc. He has a lot of great examples in albums and on the walls to pull from as well.On the big day he was nothing short of friendly and professional - he was so personable, captured so many great moments, and the photos were amazing. And he worked so hard! After shooting some formal shots his assistant was reviewing the photos right there, and they spotted some retakes that were needed and took care of them right away. They even reviewed shots while they were eating. He even helped me get my boutonniere on when nobody else knew how!Exactly one week after our wedding the photos were already prepared and ready for us on a DVD to pick up. I couldn't believe it. We picked them up and are now waiting for the 4x6 prints to come in.Also, we thought his rates were very affordable for the high quality we were getting. My wife even tried to explain a shot that she wanted (we didn't have a physical copy to show him) and he nailed it. So good.Overall I have nothing but great things to say about Garrett... it sounds a little cheesy but he really did blow away my expectations in every way. As a person I LOVE Garrett. He has an incredible personality and is genuinely nice. He did our engagement pictures and they came out stellar! In all honesty though I was quite disappointed with our wedding shots and those were the ones that were really important to me. Let me explain why...Garrett really takes the time to know his clients and find out what is important to them. I really appreciated that. For us it was the sunset. For that reason we were obviously on a time constraint. For a reason I would rather not share, I was running about 10 minutes behind...that just happens sometimes when you are the bride. I felt very very rushed to take the initial photos. There was one shot that was very important to me (a lobby of the hotel) that was not captured. That really disappointed me. His sunset photos are out of this world and if that is important to you Garrett is the one to go to but realize that you could possibly sacrifice other shots. Another reason...Garrett actually "removed" someone from the shot (the groom's sister). Instead of asking who immediate family was she was excluded (asked to step out), possibly thinking she was his sister-in-law (which to me is still family). When you are on the other side of the camera you can not see how a shot looks. In a couple of family shots I was not sitting upright (my mom had grabbed my hand) and the pictures really came out poorly. I wish that Garrett or his assistant had corrected this by informing me that I was leaning. Sadly, all of the family shots appear like this and we have no decent family shots.Finally...it did not appear that any of the photos had been retouched. There were people's legs in the background of one of my beach shots (a very simple correct) as well as leaves in the sunset pic (another very easy correct). Perhaps I was wrong but I thought it was included. Check this out before you buy a package!!!Overall, Garrett is a great guy with a wonderful talent. I think that if I did it again (which I won't :) I would really lay things out and cover all bases. Perhaps I did not do this well enough. Have confidence in Garrett but make sure you are a very good communicator!

Garrett knows his stuff!!We felt comfortable working with Garrett right from the start.He is definitely a down to earth kind of guy, extremely hard working and knew where to get all the best shots at our wedding venue, The Kahala Hotel & Resort.After reading all the great reviews on Yelp about Garrett, seeing all his stunning shots on his website, and then realizing I knew one of the Yelpers, going with Garrett just made sense. He met with us twice prior to our big day, to ensure he got all the wish list photos we wanted. We especially love our group photo he captured of everyone right after our ceremony.On the day of our wedding, Garrett and his assistant arrived promptly and were extremely patient with our many amateur hobbyist photographer friends and family who at times got in the way.Garrett and his assistant got so many great shots of us outside in a short period of time as we did not want to keep our guests waiting during the reception.Garrett's turn around time was incredible! Less than a week after our wedding we were able to pick up a DVD copy of our wedding prints from Garrett and 4x6 prints.Thank you Garrett!!!Can't wait to work with you again, perhaps for family photos.

Garrett was amazing. He agreed to do a photo shoot at very little notice. He was prompt with communication and getting the final product to us. While taking our pictures, Garrett made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Thank you for some wonderful pictures!

We went to a couple bridal expos in hopes of snagging an awesome photographer for our wedding. Earlier, we decided that photography was the most important thing for us, so we allocated a decent portion of the budget towards it. After being bombarded by the billions of photographer choices at the expo, Garrett really stood out above the rest. His photos were spectacular and he was super laid back and knowledgeable/willing to answer any questions we had. As for the photo-taking, he and his assistant were very professional (most of the time I didn't' even notice them) and most importantly, we were extremely happy with the photos. I think that his photo style is on the more traditional side (compared to some of the newer photography companies), but that fit our personalities well. We highly recommend Garrett for your photography needs!

How can I put into words the amazing job he did capturing my wedding day photos?? I can't say enough of how much knowledge, thought and consideration he puts into each photo. He helped with my dress, fixed my hair when needed and accommodated my every wish. After reviewing many other photographers, hands down he was the BEST choice and I am grateful we chose him.

I was referred to Garrett, and he turned out to be the perfect photographer for our family portrait session. We got back tons of photos very fast, and they were all fantastic. If you are not a model and want outstanding family photos in which everyone has a nice smile, great angle, perfect position and unbelievable background like an awesome wave or rainbow, Garrett is the one for you. I appreciated how he made us and our daughter comfortable and how kind and generous he was. He noticed that we could get sunset photos where it normally doesn't happen, so he took more photos than we were expecting. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Garrett, an amazing photographer and wonderful person.
