Great atmosphere! The energy at the hibachi tables is fantastic. The chefs obviously enjoy themselves and make it fun for the guests. Every table was loud with laughter. The food is yummy and the VIP dinner for two is a GREAT deal!! The salad and miso soup are traditional and satisfying. The salad dressing is not the typical sesame style we expected but was delicious. The chicken was slightly over cooked but the shrimp and lobster were cooked perfectly and my husband said the steak was good. For a fun night out with lots of laughter and good food, look no farther.

Came here for dinner and we opted to not sit at the teppanyaki tables cause we'd have to wait and we were all hungry. I ordered the dinner bento with shrimp vegetable tempura, sashimi, and sushi. Bentos come with miso soup and salad. I thought it was okay... nothing special. If I have the chance to go again, I'll definitely try their sushi rolls.

Craving fresh sushi and sizzling teppanyaki without the hustle of town or Waikiki traffic? Fuji Sushi & Teppanyaki is the perfect spot for a family night out! Enjoy expertly crafted rolls, flavorful teppanyaki dishes, and stress-free dining with FREE PARKING. It was surprisingly busy which I guess is a good thing... it means people like it there... but the service was fast and friendly. If you want a lively show, reserve a teppanyaki table... it looked so fun.We chose to sit in the booth section of the restaurant and enjoyed the "Fuji Boat" it was around $70, but it comes with miso soup, sashimi, nigiri, and a Specialty roll... so it you split that by 2 people it's only $35 each . We also tried other sashimi and Godzilla roll. And the fried ice cream is a must. Great food, no traffic stress, and a family-friendly vibe - it's all here!Located next to Pearlridge Shopping Center Uptown side. (Where the old Monterey Bay use to be)

No complaints here! The ambiance was great! Initially it was quiet, but as the day wore on, the crowds came in, but was pretty much done by then. Highly recommended to come here!

Located in the old Monterey Bay Cannery, the interior was completely redone to be Fuji Sushi and Teppanyaki. They have tables set up to do a Benihana style cooking show. The chefs either had a bad night or were new. Our chef failed to toss a piece of cooked broccoli in a diner's mouth after 3 attempts then dropped his spatula while twirling it on his finger. Another accidentally set his hat on fire when the flaming item landed on the rim of his hat and not in the aluminum pan located on top. One kept on singing "Happy Birthday" at the top of his lungs all through dinner for his table. Hopefully in a few more months they'll be better. The food was excellent including the one prepared by our chef. That made up for the performance of the chefs. The fried okinawan roll was new and it was just the perfect amount of crispy without being oily. The fried rice with my steak was perfect and rice was nice and fluffy. Service was pretty good as well with the server stopping by to see if anyone needed refills on their drinks or wanted to order anything. I'll need to visit again and hopefully the chefs will better in their performances.

We went here for lunch and opted for the regular lunch menu. I had the combo c, which is fish saba and assorted tempura. The flavor is on point for both. Be careful with fish bones as they are fine and embedded in the saba. The tofu and calamari side orders are also quite tasty. Will be back here again when lunch calls and I'm in the area. The only suggestion I would like to make is for the smell to go away. There's a certain smell when you walk in the restaurant, and I'm not sure if it's just me. Other than the smell, all good! On my second time here, we tried the teppanyaki style, which I love! The chef kept us full with the squirting sake! I love it! The food was also great in the hibachi style!

For appetizers the calamari and truffle tuna garlic rayu were pretty good. Also tried the Godzilla roll (Spicy crunchy salmon, avocado inside, spicy crab meat, eel on top,w.spicy mayo, eel sauce). The roll came staggered in pairs, and we noticed that one piece of each pair didn't have unagi on top! The dinner combo sets were pretty filling. The gyoza was nice and crispy, tempura was pleasant. The proteins were okay and paired well with the rice/fried rice upgrade. On holidays they don't offer the lunch specials, you have to order from the dinner menu if you want the combo sets.
