This hidden gem, tucked away in a small and cozy spot right across from Panda Express on South King Street, holds a special place in my heart. The charming atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some of the most delicious desserts in town.Back in high school and college, my parents and I used to visit all the time, and those trips remain some of my favorite memories. I hadn't been back since they moved, but returning after all this time felt so nostalgic. What made it even more special was when I ordered my usual and the owner recognized me. When I mentioned that my parents had moved out of Hawaii and returned to their home country, it was such a heartfelt moment that reminded me why I've always loved this place. This time, my husband tried the mochi balls with ginger soup, which had the perfect balance of sweetness and warmth. Our friends opted for the black sesame soup, which was rich and packed with flavor. I couldn't resist having my all-time favorite--the strawberry shave ice. It was just as refreshing and satisfying as I remembered, and honestly, nothing else compares to the taste and texture of their desserts. No matter how busy life gets, I know I'll always find my way back here whenever I have the time. This place is more than just a dessert spot; it's my ultimate comfort treat, bringing back wonderful memories and creating new ones each time I visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot with delicious, heartwarming treats!

We discovered Frostcity the last time we visited Honolulu (at their old location) and had been dreaming about their delicious snow dessert ever since. We had the Lychee & Watermelon snow dessert one day and the Black Sesame and Coconut snow dessert on another day. The Lychee & Watermelon one is very refreshing and light, perfect on a warm day. As other reviewers have mentioned, the Lychee flavor is subtle compared to the Watermelon but you can taste it. The Black Sesame was a bit overpowering compared to the Coconut flavor but it was still delicious. It's not a visually appealing dessert since it looks like dirty snow, but it sure tasted good.We didn't try any of the other drinks or desserts so I can't comment but they do a terrific job on the snow desserts. I'm not a big fan of sno cones or shave ice but the snow desserts are not as sweet and just fluffy and fun to eat!

New location on king st! Ice cream style shaved ice. Yummy light and refreshing. Definitely doesn't hit the spot if you're craving something heavier like a sundae or something but they do have unique flavors. They have limited seating inside and I was surprised how busy they got while we were eating there. Service is friendly and helpful. Parking located in the back if the building next to Panda Express.

Frost City relocated a few months ago from it's long time location on Beretania, now the block is boarded up. I believe I only visited once. Situated within the older Continental Building which has housed longtime tenant, Yakiniu Seoul. Parking is in the back.I've been here twice since they reopened here. Initially, ordered the regular sized watermelon Hong Kong style snow ice; then requested the lychee & watermelon combo, also regular sized. Both came with fruit and mochi on the side. The snow ice is soft and fluffy and not too sweet. Local style shave ice isn't generally as fine, and this is in-line with Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese shaved ice desserts.

Their shaved snow is incredibly light with lots of flavor. The mango one is especially good. Each order comes with small bits of mochi and a little fruit. Perfect for hot weather but good any time.

Looking for a light, fluffy, refreshing treat after dinner? This is the place! Delicious creamy Taiwanese style shaved ice! Located on king street right near Panda Express. We couldn't decide what to try, so many delicious flavors! Cool thing, you can combine flavors! Then I stumbled upon 2 of my favorite kinds of tea....have to get it! +Regular Size - Green Tea & Thai Tea Combo Shave Ice ($11.50) - Very creamy with the condensed milk drizzled on top. It was like icecream, shave ice style. The fresh fruits and mochi gave nice texture. I like the spoons they provide, makes it easy to shovel in the dessert. Great to share! My one complaint is that they barely gave any green tea flavor, it was mostly Thai Tea. If I'm paying for 2 flavors, I would like it be more evenly balanced with both flavors. Okay greeting from workers, easy checkout, came out within 5 minutes. Good seating located near the back -booth style. Big plus - parking lot located in the back of the building! Decent space and well-lit for nighttime. Recommend!

The shave ice was good and milky, I like how it melted in your mouth. However, we just had a weird interaction with the service because the worker came by and asked how we were doing, we said good, and then she cleared our table and our shave ice, even though we weren't finished yet... she didn't even ask if we were done, she just threw out our food without asking.

Frostcity is a small cafe with several tables to sit at. They are close to Panda Express (which has a drive-thru). What!?!Frost city offers hot Asian desserts, Taiwanese shaved ice, etc.My wife and I shared a Small Single Flavor Frost of Lilikoi. Our dessert came with some mochi, grapes, & Hami melon slices. The lilikoi tasted like it had some coconut cream in it.

I got the Watermelon and Lychee Frost in a regular size, which ran me around $12. I loved the snow-like texture--it melts instantly in your mouth and is a light, refreshing snack or dessert when you're not in the mood for anything heavy. The watermelon flavor was very refreshing and prominent, though the lychee didn't come through as much (it might've been overpowered by the watermelon). The dessert came with some fresh fruit and several pieces of mochi, which added a nice texture and something extra. There's seating inside, and they offer a water station with cups in case you want to cleanse your palate or have a drink. Street parking is available. The workers were quick and professional, and they delivered my order to the table in a reasonable time.

I get equally excited for sweet treats as I do for savory foods. Life should be balanced so always yes to dessert. Frost City reopened next to Yakiniku Seoul in my neighborhood. I've tried at least 5 different flavors. The shave ice is light and fluffy. It melts in your mouth without the need to chew. Each shave ice comes with some fresh fruit and mochi pieces. Always yes to condensed milk drizzles. I took my nieces and nephews here and they all love it. They ask to go back all the time.
