I found Fresh Hawaii Leis online to send my sister some leis and haku. Since I cannot see her and her family due to travel restrictions, I wanted to send her something for her birthday. The company called to confirm and go over options due to Coronavirus. My sister sent me a photo and they are beautiful! She was so surprised and loved how fresh the leis and haku were. I was so excited when I found this company that could ship leis from my home state of Hawaii. I placed and PAID for my order last month (April) for 40 leis for TWO (2) MAY DAY CELEBRATION EVENTS HERE IN CHICAGO on Tues 5/7 & Wed 5/8. SHIPMENT WAS TO ARRIVE MONDAY, 5/6. I sent an email that morning to the person, 'Mike', who was handling my account asking for the tracking info for FedEx, the service they were using. Mike emailed back:"Hi GiGi,I'm so deeply sorry!! While overseas, I didn't get the email that your invoice was paid so it wasn't in our calendar. I'm not sure why it didn't show up in our inbox. Just now, I had to manually pull up each invoice and found yours. Unfortunately, there is no way to get the package to you today which is the day of your event. We feel horrible that this happened, especially since this is for an event where everyone is expecting to have leis. The package should have been sent on Saturday and received on Monday, today, since FedEx is closed on Sunday. We will definitely refund you for your order. I can't express how sorry we are that this happened. Aloha,Mike"TODAY & TOMORROW, BOTH MAY DAY EVENTS, WHICH I HAD ADVERTISED FOR THE PAST MONTH IS RUINED! As a local Hawaiian islander, I'm always promoting, sharing and educating mainland folks about Hawaiian culture, music, food, etc., and "MAY DAY, LEI DAY' was an event EVERYONE was looking forward to receiving a fresh flower lei, directly from Hawaii. All the apologies doesn't help my situation here now. I've nothing to give people to show what 'Lei Day' is all about. There's no way to make up for this mess.Whatever order-shipment system you have there, didn't work. My order fell through the cracks. Recently, I searched the web for a very unusual lei creation: a single lei to encircle my sister's casket for her funeral. NO OTHER lei company responded to my pleas except Fresh Hawaii Lei ! and their compassionate, professional customer service was simply beyond description or compare! They created an exquisite single and double purple orchid lei and even upgraded the FedEx delivery to overnight! at their own expense. Who has ever heard of service like that? When it appeared that FedEx had erred in the timely delivery, they immediately went to battle on my behalf to make sure the lei would arrive on time!Whenever you shop for a floral creation, PLEASE consider this business above all others! They will always be my "go to!" place for all of my floral needs!
