Who doesn't like a food truck? I always feel the money they save in paying for a brick and mortar, they put into the quality of your food. This is true with Frank's Franks Brooklyn Italian Food. We saw them on IG, and it was in Waimanalo on our family Sunday. So, I DM'd my order of 5 Meatball plates and 2 Giant Mozzarella Sticks and, boy, was that a lot of food. First, the 2 meatballs were huge and tasty. It's served with bucatini pasta. Bucatini pasta! Who does that on a food truck? The sauce is delicious. As good as your Italian mother would make! Next, the Giant mozzarella stick is a show stopper. It's big and filled with good quality mozzarella. The breadcrumb crust was perfectly crunchy and substantial. It had to hold in all that mozzarella after all. The cheese pull is a photo op, for sure! And, that marinara... we were all fighting to lick the container! We will definitely make another visit to try the Chicken Parm or Eggplant Parm or Lasagna... gotta check IG for the menu. And, we'll get those mozzarella sticks again.

We visited Frank and his wife's food truck first thing Sunday morning since they opened at 11. We high tailed it all the way from Makakilo, and let me tell you the food did not disappoint! It wasn't hard to find as they were parked across the street from 7-11 by the Waimanalo Beach Park. We got lucky enough to be one of the first people there, and even while we were waiting we saw some people picking up orders they made by DMing him on IG @franks_franks_nystyle The owner Frank and his wife were just the sweetest and nicest people you could meet and so welcoming when we got there. They have a limited menu, and no wonder cause they made it all so well. We ordered the Meatball Parm for $15 and it's a huge portion of Bucatini pasta in his perfect gravy with two large meatballs and topped with ooey gooey melted cheese. We also ordered the Lasagna for $15 which was a monster portion that filled the container. It was not just a bunch of ricotta, but balanced with meat-filled layers in awesome sauce, cheese, and pasta. Last but not least we ordered the Neopolitan pizza for $15 that was about 12" and. The crust was a little thicker than we expected, but still so good and held all the toppings perfectly. The char on the bottom of the pie was perfect and gave it that great wood fired taste that you want in a pizza. All in all a great first time experience, and it made us happy we made a near hour drive just to hunt this truck down. We heard nothing but good things about Frank's food and it did not disappoint. All I'm thinking about now is when the next time is that we're going to make it back out to get our fix again. If you haven't been yet, make sure you try it and thank me later!

My best friend and I finally got to try this establishment after prolonging for sooooooo long. We were greeted with smiles and aloha from both Frank and Kelly! Awesome people who make you feel welcomed and like family :)We ordered the Giant mozzarella stick, Neapolitan pizza, and meatball parm. First off, that mozzarella stick is huge! But sooooo crunchy and oozing with cheese Loved the Neapolitan pizza due to the dough having a nice, chewy texture; just wish I asked for more cheese on the pizza. But the meatball was by far our favorite! Big in size and juicy! Definitely worth the drive out to Waimanalo and portion size is more than enough! Love everything about Franks and looking forward to trying more items on their menu! Thanks for making our day off worth it :)

Absolutely delicious Italian food, made with heart and attention to detail. Frank always works his own truck so you get to see and/or meet the owner every time you come. All food made fresh, so food can take 15-30 minutes (call the order ahead and no wait!). Our family LOVES the mozzarella stick (which is absolutely HUGE), the meatball, spaghetti, and various pizzas. I've also tried the calzone, which was delicious but definitely a new experience for me (cheese inside only). Prices are very reasonable. Bring CASH and save a few bucks. They park in Waimanalo. Parking is right beside the truck, off the highway. Locals and tourists alike come here. Only open a few days/week, so don't miss your chance to try! My family and I will keep coming back! ENJOY!!!

Today, I've tried the lasagna from Frank's Frank's Brooklyn Italian Food now located in Waimānalo and I was highly impressed by the lasagna, it has an incredible sauce, and instantly you can taste the tomatoes, garlic and herbs, it was very meaty and the pasta was cooked to perfection, and had just the right amount of cheese. Overall a flavorful meal and something I'd definitely would get again.

Went and picked up a David Special! It was an eggplant calzone style glorious piece of awesomeness! So full of cheese, and eggplants. Their gravy took the whole thing over the top. Their gravy is a ragu simmered for eight hours with a meat base. The gravy is a tomato based ragu which cuts the richness of all that cheese and accompanies the overall taste and texture of the freshly rolled and baked deliciousness! They are outside on the street fronting Creekside bar and Times coffee shop, or Sundays at Bellows. I gotta go try their sandwiches. The meatball and lasagna sounds pretty ono as well!
