Food and New Product a retail therapy dream...Sadly has shrunk by half over the years it was the place to shop for items not usually found here on the islands is always nice for my personal reasons of visually seeing the products and giving it a touchy feely try with the added bonus of the show special pricing as well without the shipping and handling cost. The demonstrators of how things works and the deals always gets me in trouble but it was a lot of fun tasting and exploring fascinated by each items.Nevertheless going with a friend who loves loves these types of events as we arrived early (parking $8 admission $6) both prices definitely hurts though I was pleased to see a good amount of food and product balance and though the product are more shops selling their wears with just a few product demo and the same for food none of the samples to try the newest flavors and introduction but all great food vendors even some that I was eyeing was there which is a pleasant surprise. There was a good amount of large round tables to relax and enjoy the foods is a great great thing we totally took advantage of especially to snack on some the items we bought with an impromptu photo ops making it a fun night to remember though my camera was acting up so I didn't have much pics...sob!Chubby Fries & Wings, Honolulu Rose Cake Shop, Pacifikool, Bamboo Stickers, Tropical, Neha's Kitchen, Judy Shop, Chyler's Hawaiian Beef Chips...and so much more thank you! Bestie came straight from work still in uniform got a generous amount of massage time on the Daiwa chair which made her smile and now wants one lol but it was a great time browsing and supporting local.Thank you!

This year it was held at the Ala Moana shopping center on the 3rd floor parking lot. They allowed 500 customers every hour and you had 2 hours to look around and shop. The way they had you enter was crazy just to get in to the actual area to show your vaccinations card and ID you had to walked through a maze like the lines in Disneyland if you already had your tickets as the ones that didn't purchase their tickets ahead of time their lines to line up in was so much easier not like the maze we had to go through.I can understand Covid rules but there was no one in front of us until we went through 8 bends of the maze.Other then that the food and products show had a lot of good vendors and lots of new and different items for sale.Presale: $12.00 at the door: $15.00

Wow! No current reviews! Event parking is 7.00. Kinda expensive. Admission is 4.00, but my kind generous friend gave me a complimentary ticket to the show, thank you! If you love food, like me, this is a great event to attend! And not nearly as crowded as the made in Hawaii fair or the thanksgiving fair so you can browse through the fair and enjoy all the good food! You don't have to eat before leaving the house either because there is lots of free samples and plate lunch Vendors to purchase food from! Panda Express, Haili Hawaiian food, Aloha plate lunch wagon, Aloha shoyu, lemonade vendors, Okinawa ice cream, and the list goes on! There was other new food products as well and jewelry and clothing too! So you could shop for Christmas! Like always, you need to bring some money to these event so you can enjoy and have some fun!

I'm glad we decided to go to this event! Lots of new food to try! Mainly snacks and desserts. There's over 200+ vendors at the show selling food, products, and plants. Vendors were so nice to give you samples to try before buying the food. We walked out with mainly mochi and ube items.Price: 4.00 Admission; $3.00 Seniors 60+, Students, Military; Child 12 years and under free with a paid Adult (no entry ticket needed)Parking is $6 at Blaisdell and there's also street parking. BRING CASH - some vendors are only accepting cash.

We went to the Pacific Expos Home, Garden and DIY show yesterday and were met by a LOT FULL sign at the NBC. Wow! We anticipated an exciting and interesting show geared toward green or new solutions for homeowners. To see that the event parking was full, we thought this show must really be something! Our expectations were dashed as we walked to the ticketbox. Apparently, there were other events going on at the NBC and when we entered the Pacific Expo, it was evident that the crowds weren't for this show. There were several vendors who seemed to be advertising the same things (solar panel systems, renovation or new construction contractors, bamboo pillows and linens, plants, outdoor patio furniture and cleaning supplies). Luckily, they were interspersed between aisles. The booths had large displays but no one seemed energetic about showing their products. Most of the "energy" or interest seemed to go to a Kendama demonstration and competition. Another quirky thing about THIS exhibit was the food and crafts. Huh? I didn't "get" the connection to Home, Garden or DIY.Sadly, we left the show feeling a bit unfulfilled but took solace in the fact that we had found street parking that cost us a lot less expense than the event's flat rate.

I've come to this festival for years, and though it doesn't seem as large as it was in the past, it's still enjoyable. Perhaps more vendors go to the Made in Hawaii festival rather than this show. But there are always interesting products to check out and sample! Hooray to Honolulu Magazine, which sent me an email that gave free admission to the show! I liked Enjoy's gummy legos that could be built to create neat shapes. First time I saw the product, though it's on sale at Longs this week for 8 packets for $4 (the show price was $5 per 8 packets). Perfect for Halloween treats! I also liked trying the korean snacks' yogurt gummy, so unique! I also really liked the new multigrain puff flavors, onion, cinnamon, and sweet potato (the sweet potato tasted pretty plain though). They're the healthy puffs that you can find at Palama supermarket and makes a super loud pop as they're made. 3 bags were offered for $10.Our favorite area is definitely the chips section - a couple types of organic chips, then kettle chips, guacamole, etc. Definitely chips heaven! Our favorite of the chips were the zappo voodoo kettle chips, which were a great price at 2 for $5.A great place to visit on a Friday night before it gets too crowded!

Thank you Yelp for the free admission tickets as well as two free Chocolate Festival passes!!! The passes were an unexpected surprise :DIt's been a while since I've gone to a Food and New Product Show ... years in fact. I didn't expect to enjoy myself as much as I did. I took my prima as my +1, as I normally do to Yelp events. We went on Saturday .. it was just starting to get a little bit crowded inside ... but manageable! Our first stop! Ulu's Lemonade .. they are my favorite :) I got my usual Strawberry li hing mui and my prima got Blue Hawaii ... drank that within 5 minutes lol went back for a refill that only cost $4 if I remember correctly. We browsed through all the isles of vendors .. but the smell of the food was driving us nuts!! If we weren't hungry before we got there, we were now hahaha!! I really wish I had taken pictures of the food and the vendors :/ I was too distracted by everything to remember ... We got dim sum from one of the vendors ... lots of noodles, fried chicken, spring rolls ... from another vendor we bought poke bowls and fresh strawberry mochi!!! Omg!! Everything was sooo good!!! And yes, we got full from all the samples. I was particularly fond of the beef jerky vendor person! hahaha . and we saw the one of the vendors had taro being pounded out on site!! That was awesome .. you don't really get to see that to often, unless you're family is like mine as we do it only on special occasions.. I'm glad to see the art of passing it to the younger generation has not been lost.I did however mistaken one of the vendors for that chick Tiffany .. you know, the one from Flava Flavs hook up reality show .. Can't remember what it was called!!! Anyway, I passed by her location 4 or 5 times .. I kept thinking .. no that isn't her .. is it??? Needless to say, it wasn't her and she was flattered I thought so. Hahaha!!! :)Moving on .. I got to pick up my puppy some yummy treats from Hawaii Doggie Bakery. He lovesssss their snacks!!! For those that don't know about them, they are located in Manoa by Bangkok Chef and Morning Glass and Coffee ... The sisters there are very helpful if you want to get your little fur baby some healthy snacks. All in all, I had a great time walking around for hours and talking to vendors! Thank you again Yelp for the free tickets!! I definitely wont be missing this event again!

This event is held annually at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center. It is worth the visit to try samples and purchase items from hundreds of local shops and food vendors. This year the show was held October 13-15th. Cost of admission is only $4 which I thought was fair and affordable for a product show. I bought a la carte items from a restaurant located in Kalihi that sold delicious beef, fried ahi, and salmon. There were lots of junk food samples and cooking demonstrations. I found out about a local cafe in the area that I plan to visit in the near future. I entered into several sweepstakes, admired all of the plants on sale, and I got to sit for ten minutes in a relaxing massage chair. It was a fun and cheap way to spend the afternoon. The Blaisdell holds a variety of expos throughout the year and I can't get enough of them. They all usually have good food, samples, and admission tickets are reasonably priced. I'll be sure to stop by again next year.

Came to this annual event a few times but this yr was my fav. Lots of new food vendors which means samples samples samples lol. Neat product vendors some even doing demos. The vibe was nice no rush no pushing not super crowded like Made in Hawaii. Plenty of seating in the middle for those eating there or just needing to rest. Get your tickets at the box office remember they cash only.Bring your reusable bags for all your shopping.

Event Parking is $6.00 this morning. Line to get tickets AND to get in show was crazy long but moved fairly quickly. Admission is $3.00 or $1.00 with the coupon that was running in the Star Advertiser all week long. Seven-Eleven also had a dollar off coupon ($2.00 admission).I'd say more than 70% of vendors were non-food companies: massage chairs, shower cleaners, window/door companies, Panasonic, T-shirt vendors, a couple of craft type merchants, a plant section and probably way more than I can remember. For me I'm all about the food so this is what I remember: Twirly Fries ($5.00) for a whole potato, Manny's Bakeshop, Rainbow Drive In, Family Foods with their umaibo & other snacks, Tanioka's with their musubi's, fish patties & bento, beef jerky guys, cupcakes, potato chips & crackers, a low sodium bottled teriyaki sauce company, cookies, Balsalmic & Olive oil : sample their 18yr old balsamic: so sweeeet, candied popcorn, Primo Popcorn: get the Japanese Curry, Filipino food, dim sum, and K&K Distributors Kandyland heaven! Cheap cheap cheap candy! Try the Bertie Botts: interesting conversation piece at best.31 Yelps Review Challenge (20/31)
