I joined Finess HI with a friend last November and ended up loving it. I have wasted money on many other gym memberships through my life, paying monthly and never going. Being a part of a community with set times actually works for me. It sounds counter intuitive, but knowing that I can only go at certain times pushes me make workouts and work harder when I am there. I feel stronger and better overall. It's fun to workout with people and get support from others with similar goals, to stay healthy! Ryan provides a safe, healthy and encouraging environment. So glad I listened to my friend!

Conveniently located in Kakaako, Ryan's workouts are fast and effective. Ryan does an excellent job of combining proper technique with a diverse set of workout moves customized to help you achieve your workout goals. I get a great workout in just 30 minutes and don't feel guilty about eating food I love.

I first started training with Ryan Pang four years ago before he had a gym and worked as a mobile trainer. I was spending way too much time behind a desk and living off plate lunches and I saw my weight balloon. I turned to Ryan for help with my limited schedule and man did he come through. We met at 5am in the pitch black darkness outdoors 2-3 days a week and he made me WORK. I hated exercise and I let Ryan know it loud and clear, but he would fight back, encourage me and never gave up on me. I think I lost about 15 pounds with him then. Flash forward to 2014 and Ryan's got this small, but effective gym in Kakaako. Made even more perfect by the fact that it was just across the street from my current job and I found myself once again needing help getting back into a workout routine. This time I had lost a lot of weight through diet and I needed to put on muscle and gain some strength. I head over 2-3 days a week for group classes and I freaking love it. Quick, effective workouts that make me feel the burn and I'm in and out in 45 minutes...YES. Ryan has obviously studied his craft intently. He is a stickler for correct form and modifications so that clients don't injure themselves and he knows how to gently push us to bigger challenges. He really gets how the body works and offers some interesting insight on how we can get our bodies to the place we want in a healthy way. I love that his gym is not full of bulky guys or half naked girls (although Ryan may disagree on that one) so I feel comfortable in my own skin there. But most importantly Ryan puts up with my whining and verbal abuse of the kettle bells so I'm pretty happy with that.

Coach Ryan is an amazing coach .. its like the workouts are an addiction once you start you dont wanna stop lol .. the classes are like 30 mins long quick and fun .. im not big on the gym so these classes work out perfectly for me .. if you are not a gym person I suggest you check his classes out ..oh and did I mention he helps you with nutrition as well so awesome .. and last but not least he has a yummy mini protein shake bar .. He's helping me get to my goals and im loving it .. 10lbs down in 2 1/2 months yay !! GO CHECK HIM OUT BEST WORKOUT PLACE EVER !!!!!

Started working out at Fitness HI almost 1 month ago and I'm loving it. I've been to a variety of gyms in the past. 24 hour fitness, Orangetheory, crossfit gyms. Unfortunately as I got older, I noticed more injuries. I took a break from working out for about 8 months to heal and reset. Fast forward to the present day....I was looking to get back into shape but knew I needed a place that would help me get stronger and avoid injury. I'm so happy I found Fitness HI. Ryan Pang, the owner, is awesome. I'm currently enrolled in semi-private training. He targets workout to my personal goals. He also watches me attentively to make sure I'm doing the exercise correctly since I have a tendency to rush/push through exercises I suck at. I've noticed big changes in my strength and endurance since working out with him and it's only been a month. He just moved his gym to a larger space which is great. There are no large weight benches/machines or cardio equipment. He uses simple equipment like sangbags, TRX, kettlebells and medicine balls. Surprisingly, I get a much better, balanced workout with his equipment than I did at other gyms.He and the other members are extremely welcoming. The environment is casual, supportive and encouraging.Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Ryan at Fitness HI is awesome as tailoring exercise routines to fit the needs of his clients regardless of their age or injury history. I've been to many gyms and trainers across the country, and Ryan is by far the most knowledgeable person I've met. If you need to get in shape (or stay in shape) go to Fitness HI!
