In the middle of a major renovation to my apartment. A good friend suggested I check out Fiddler's for knobs and possible plumbing fixtures. I did tons of research online and I knew I could probably get everything cheaper ordering from the mainland, but I'm a firm believer of supporting local businesses whenever possible...even if it meant paying a little more. Plus I felt it might be easier to return if I had a change of heart on my selection. From the outside, Fiddler's looked like a small, dated, dusty mom and pop store. I walked in to find the INSIDE exactly what I thought from the OUTSIDE. The fixtures were dusty and unpolished. The decor was very dated and the layout was a mish-mosh of brands, styles, and finishes from different designers. Keep in mind that these finish-products are pricey. I thought, such a disorganized and unwelcoming way to display your nice products...but, what the hell. The first person who approached me was a young lady who looked like she was in the middle of her lunch. I just asked for bathroom accessories and she pointed me in the direction. Cool. The second person who approached me was an older Asian lady. She was curt and almost condescending in her answer to my questions. Horrible! She was so unhelpful that I just ignored her after a minute of interaction and strolled around the rest of the store, being careful not to bump into any dusty, rusty displays. My final thought...local is NOT always better. Went the Fiddler's on a recommendation and will NOT be suggesting this joke of a place to any of my friends. Left the shop without buying anything. Went home to order everything through amazon.com, efaucets.com, and Fergussons (Expensive, but at least the customer service was stellar!).Sidenote: Asked other friends doing major renovations if they heard of Fiddler's, and they had similar stories to mine. Lol...How on earth are they still in business?

Experienced good customer service from one employee but poor customer service from Dee Fiddler. It would be a shame if she's the owner. When I asked if they had a certain style of hardware in stock at their showroom she plainly said no. Ok, I get that but she definitely made me feel like she could care less if she got my business or not. This experience was not good because she did not bother asking me further information to try and help me achieve my goal. It's such a shame because now I will do everything to avoid using this establishment.

I used to think my homeowner friends were such dramatic pansies when they complained about their renovation woes. How hard could it be? While definitely a "first world problem", it can be quite a frustrating task to pick out the bits and pieces of home embellishments. When I needed to find a faucet for my rectangular sink, I searched just about every fixture store in Honolulu before landing the perfect part at Fiddler's. Billy was extremely patient and answered all of my questions as I sifted through a stack of catalogs. Friendly group of people and competitive pricing.

Denise and company are not only warm and personable but also top notch professionals when it comes to door and lock hardware. I looked online and all over town and I was fortunate to get referred to Fiddlers. My issue (50 year old piece needing replacement) was solved instantly and at a very reasonable cost. While there I checked out their shower hardware and fittings that gave me some great ideas for my current remodel. I wish I had known about this shop six months ago. I give this place an unreserved five big ass stars!

We went to buy a replacement shower handle and bar. The item we selected was a Hansgrohe set for $700. While by no means cheap, was willing to pay this amount to be done with searching, as the style matched the other fixtures. I was not sure if the shower bar's predrilled holes would align with my current shower stall. So i asked about the return policy if needed, to return the item. It would have been returned new, unused, never installed, in the box, and only if it turned out to be off from my current measured dimensions. The sales clerk stated i could not return the item even if it was in brand new condition. So if you buy it, it's yours. Period. Needless to say i abandoned the idea of buying anything here, and within an hour found another modern looking shower bar which fit perfectly, from Ferguson's. (It was also 1/3 the price). Besides the lousy, restrictive, archaic purchase policy, not to mention the jacked up prices, the older saleswoman in the store should probably just stop working. She is as charmless as the store's return policy.

I highly recommend Fiddlers for anything you could need in Hardware, beautiful plumbing fixtures, and all the accessories to go with them. Not only do they carry top quality products but they have perfect knowledge of everything they sell! Denise and her daughter are amazing. Every order is correct and on time. We have remodeled our home twice over the past 14 years and bought all our hardware from Fiddlers each time. They are a long time local business that I highly support! Don't go big box, go to Fiddlers!

The first thing that struck me, was that when I entered the door, there were leaves, dirt, and debris on the floor! The fixtures were dusty, and scattered. Thankfully, the two women were helpful. I think that a vacuum, dusting, and some elbow grease would go a long way to help this business!
