I am writing this review as my husband and I finish our meal. I would give 10 stars if I could!Fete is a state treasure. Robin's culinary artistry is meticulous, extravagant, locally conscious and intentional, and home-style comfort, resulting in that ratatouille moment when you take your bites and remember your grandmother's home cooking of a long lost secret recipe. Fabri (spelling?), our bartender and wine connoisseur, has never steered us wrong, even with the oddest combination requests. If a bartender can pair a fernet shot with a cocktail, while also able to recommend an expensive bottle of wine that is found as distinctly memorable, then it's more than a home run- they win the whole damn game.Last but certainly not least, chuck (maitre de) has always remembered us, accommodated us, and greeted us with the type of open arms that isn't pretentious- it makes you feel like family. I cannot recommend this place enough. Love everyone here and enjoying their hard work from their food, beverage, and all around experience!Ps: Josh and Kevin are amazing servers and give such a phenomenal experience as well. While they weren't our servers tonight, we are always happy to see them and sit in their section (when it's available)Thanks to the entire team at Fete for giving my husband and I an unforgettable retreat and slice of home. We love you!

It's loud inside, don't go to have a conversation w/anyone. Go to eat :)The bar is pretty! The servers are grand.5 stars for everything!Drinks are pretty too.The Korean style New York steak was fabulous! But the beef bourguignon pot pie was out of this world crazy delicious! Another great restaurant in China Town! Yahoo

Came here a couple weekends ago with some gfs for one of my best friend's birthday dinner. We made the res a month in advance online but we didn't realize we were automatically sat outside. I didn't know that if you have a bigger party this happens and you can call the restaurant to move to inside. I would HIGHLY recommend doing the call because we sat outside and it was HOT. They have tables and some umbrellas but it was still humid sticky and hot. The service was good. The man who helped us was nice and polite. I asked to move inside because of the heat but unfortunately the owner (I think it was the owner?) said they were fully booked. Food was okay! I split the ravioli with one of my gfs. They split it for us which was nice and we got a side-- the collard greens which was not my cup of tea. It was kinda salty for my liking. We also got some drinks, I got an old fashion with bourbon which was good. As I mentioned it was one of my gfs bdays so we did bring a cake. We didn't know there was a cake fee-- $5 per slice (and there was 8 of us). But they later said that if we bought ice cream to go with the cake they'd waive the fee which was nice of them. I got the kuloa ice cream and it's a non dairy. The ice cream was okay, didn't taste as I thought it would but probably bc it's non dairy. Parking-- there's street or nearby parking lots for a fee. We did street metered parking Overall, the dinner was okay. A solid 3.75 stars. I would come again! And they mentioned they're opening a bakery so I want to try that as well!

Very delicious farm-to-table restaurant in Chinatown. We went at lunch, crowds were more manageable than the evenings. We ordered crispy chicken sandwich and spaghetti carbonara. Bothe were very tasty. After lunch we went around the corner to the new Fete Bakery. Staff was especially helpful and we left with cookies and chocolate bells. Yum. What a treat!

Great experience, amazing foods :)Fête was our anniversary dinner and I definitely chose the right place. Reservations were made for 8:30PM. We called and let the host know we may be a few minutes late to look for parking and she gave us some tips. We found street parking a block over with no problem. Our server Christi was amazing. She was attentive and friendly. She was knowledgeable of the menu and specials, and we felt taken care of the whole night. One thing too, we wanted to try both the fries and crispy potatoes, but Christi had warned us that the sides are full portions. It's nice to see a restaurant not try and upsell you things. Thank you Christi! Stephanie took over towards the end of the night and wrapped up our service nicely.2 cons I would note is the volume inside the restaurant and space between the table. It was loud in there until the last 30 minutes of our meal (last 30 minutes before closing). Tables are pretty close together as well. We could hear the conversations of the tables next to usWe got the spicy kitty, steak tartare, korean bavette, chez burger, and crispy potatoes. Spicy kitty was ... spicy. All the foods tastes great! Well-seasoned and nothing was too salty or missing in flavor. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rate. It's not melt in your mouth but cooked well enough that the chew isn't too much. First I was expecting a dressing for the slaw, but the kochujang sauce ended up being the dressing for the slaw. Rice could be improved on, I wasn't really tasting ginger-scallion and there were clumps of rice. 5 stars for service4.7 stars for food4 stars for ambienceOverall, a great anniversary dinner!

Made a same day reservation for a weekday early dinner. We were seated quickly. Service was great, though they spent an overwhelming amount of time explaining all the menu items in detail! I think this is a good thing, we could tell our waitress was really into it. Can only upvote that kind of passion!Vibe was typical of a Chinatown restaurant. We really love the farm to table concept and the waitress explained that they use many locally sourced and fresh ingredients, Food options were pretty targeted, as in there wasnt an overwhelmingly large selection, and for the most part were all unique fusion options. Korean Bavette (B+): Basically a saucy steak with an egg on top. It was tasty, with the sauce being the star/outlier on this dish. Beet Salad (A-): good for a salad, and the beets were delicious. This was a special, but I can solidly recommend this as an option if you're in the mood for a 'sweet' salad. If I had to do it again, I couldn't help but stare at my friend's Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. He gave it 5 out of 5 stars...Great spot if you're in Chinatown and want something unique!

James Beard Award winning chef and it's in Hawaii and you can make a rezzy? Sign me up!!Came here with three people for work dinner I've never been here before but was looking for trendy Delicious Restaurant that did not break the bank. Was able to make a reservation however I could only get a table outside. I was worried about the noise level flies Etc and in the area of Chinatown that is located it's not the cleanest best location however the staff is constantly outside and they do have little movable barriers to cordon off the tables from the street traffic. Our waitress Chrissy was friendly attentive and got our order right. We got the beet salad which I highly recommend. Marinated pickled roasted beets with a lightly dressed green salad and an ample portion of avocado. I got the Korean Bavette and was worried at the spice level but it was perfectly seasoned, barely spicy but super flavorful and the meat was tender! I ordered medium well and it came out more medium to medium rare but I didn't mind it because it was tender and not too chewy. My colleague got the Butcher Block which I don't have a picture of but she said it was amazing. Highly recommend however the inside seating was very busy and looked kind of cramped and loud and the outdoor tables you have to contend with flies and street traffic....So just know that going into it. They have a full bar and the drink menu looks great although none of us had alcohol.
