If you're in the area, stop and support this local Shave Ice Shoppe. Owner and her son were the most hospital people I have met. The shave ice made by her and her son was very tasty and a good little desert break. Park in the back and go through back door. Shop is on the corner and no fancy signs or decor but was worth the price. Paid $2.50 for a small shave ice. That's a deal!

Most wholesome woman works here! I can definitely feel the spirit and culture of Hawaii in this store. Yelp doesn't do it justice and we need to change that. It's in a building that looks older, and the store itself is minimal inside, but the attitude and customer service of the owner is great. A handful of us got shave ice. They make their own ice and syrups for the shave ice. Great sense of humor and she was fun talking to. The conversation didn't feel forced. Her daughter came to help make them since there were so many and it does take a while to make each one. As they were finishing up our last shave ice, a group of three kids came in. Two had money and the third didn't. I guess she makes her own cup popsicles as well. She noticed one of the kids wasn't going to buy one and asked if they were splitting the two amongst themselves. She kindly gave the third kid her own and I think that's the most amazing thing. Will definitely come back and support this business. 11/10.

Just arrived after a long flight, and I was going to Costco to purchase water and snacks. But it was hot and decided to look for something cold. This store came up it was a half mile from Costco location. It is located at Liliha and Vineyard St., on corner parking is in back where you can order or inside from front entrance. They have three special shave ice we pick the Kalihi special, it comes with Li hing powder(it is a salty little bitter), mochi, coconut and pineapple syrup, condense milk and vanilla ice cream. The owner was nice enough to add some pineapple also. The shave ice was finally shaved , and all the topping blended well with every scoop. This one of the best shave ice.

In Hawaii when you want to cool off, shave ice is a good way to do it. Fenua is one of the newer kids on the block located in the building on the corner of Liliha St and Vineyard Blvd. There is free parking located behind the building. You can place your order from the back where you park your car as there is a window to do so. If you want to go inside to order and or check out their other snacks and things they have, you can enter from the entrance in the front (Vineyard Blvd) side. The workers are very nice and friendly. What I like is that they put enough flavored syrup so you don't get tasteless ice down on the bottom like some other stingy places. Wide assortment of flavors to choose from. The shaved ice is on the smoother side and not chunky pieces of ice. The better half and I enjoyed the shaved ice so we will be back when we need to cool down and find ourselves in this part of town.

Shave Ice in Liliha, Honolulu, Hawaii...On a hot summer day in July, a shave ice is nice way to cool off! Side note: I saw on the news last night (7-2-22) that sometimes, shave ice shops have to close early because they run out of block ice. While some shops make their own ice, others rely on ice factories for blocks of ice. I didn't ask Fenua Shave Ice and Snack Shop if they make their own block ice. Just don't wait until the end of the day to get shave ice!I actually was looking for the fabric shop next door when I saw the shave ice sign in the parking lot. Curious, I walked around to the front door on Vineyard Boulevard and entered Fenua Shave Ice and Snack Shop.Located on the corner of Liliha Street and Vineyard Boulevard, enter the parking lot (about ten cars can park there) from Liliha Street. There's a window for your ordering convenience if you don't want to walk around to the front entrance. The shop has canned goods, personal care items, novelty candy, bags of cookies, etc. for purchase. Order your shave ice at the counter. The friendly staff will help you if you can't decide what to get. The Kalihi Special looked good to me. Topped with li hing powder and mochi balls, the finely shaved ice was flavored with coconut and pineapple. I asked for "no ice cream and no condensed milk" because I have lactose intolerance. (Sad face) The Kalihi Special is such a great deal for $5 plus tax. It's a large size, wasn't overly sweet, had enough syrup, really filled me up, and cooled me down! How did I not know about Fenua Shave Ice and Snack Shop before? They've been around for almost three years now! If you want some excellent shave ice, let's go here!

Stopped by for some Greek food next door and decided to get shave ice as well.Tried out three flavors: lychee, guava, and li hing mui and none of the flavors taste like it says. Pretty gross artificial tastes. Would not recommend.

This place is a hidden gem. The price is very reasonable and the shave ice is finely shaved just the way I like it. They also put a lot of syrup on it. The regular size is small which is perfect for kids. This is my favorite place to get a shave ice from now on.
