If you are kama'aina from the neighbor islands, consider staying at the Romer Ambassador and eating at the Favorite Son. Even if you're not at the hotel, just come to the favorite son. My family had an excellent time! We were looking for a pizza place with a nice salad and my goodness, we were delighted. After a long day of shopping, we just had to go downstairs to Favorite Son to have satisfying meal of Margherita and pepperoni pizzas, a beautiful salad made with local ingredients and flavored with a tasty avocado dressing, and an ono chocolate cookie to finish our meal. The food was sooooo good and the service was exceptional! We were greeted by Ethan, so friendly and warm, and then served by Kama! We may be a little bias because he is a Kona-boy from our dear Big Island, but Kama offered tremendous customer service. We felt right at home! When we said we'd leave a great review, he asked if we could name his fellow staff who helped make tonight's meal for my family a memorable one. Mahalo to the highly responsive Rio for answering my family's questions about the cookies! Kepa for cooking such a delicious dinner. We were so content after! And Sara and Monoa who were a part of the team to service the rest of the guests...what a great experience. We will be back!

This restaurant was located right by my hotel and when we checked in it was recommended we try it because they had just opened. One our first day we stopped by and had a slice of pizza and a pog star martini! Both were extremely delicious and we ended up coming here almost every day for a slice of pizza before we hit the beach. On my last day before I went to the airport I decided to try the vodka penne pasta to eat before I boarded my flight. Not sure if it was because they had just opened but the dish was very salty and the sauce was thick and created this unpleasant texture. I was disappointed since the hotel staff recommended this dish and I just expected more since it was almost 30 dollars for the pasta.Nonetheless I had great experiences besides the pasta and would still go back for the pizza and drinks. Hopefully within time I am able to go back and I would love to try the vodka penne again!Staff and ambiance wise everyone was really nice and I loved how there was outdoor and indoor seating! If you're in the area give this spot a try :)

First review of 2025! The Favorite Son at Romer Waikīkī is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was charmed by the adorable ambiance and thoughtful details throughout the space. The atmosphere feels both welcoming and vibrant, perfect for a casual hangout or a relaxing meal.We ordered the pepperoni pizza, and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings generous, and the flavors well-balanced. Alongside the pizza, mushroom & orzo, and Tricolore Chicory salad, we enjoyed their signature non-alcoholic drinks, Arnold Palmer and Lilikoi Faux Mojito, were equally delightful--beautifully crafted, refreshing. We ended with the tiramisu to share which was just what we needed to complement our meal. Everything came out to about $100 with good portion sizes! The staff were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Their warmth and efficiency created an environment where we felt truly cared for. They validate parking for up to 3 hours for free which is a great amount of time to nibble, chat, and enjoy.Overall, Favorite son is so cute. I'm coming back for more delicious food on there, great drinks, and excellent service.

I live nearby so I went in for coffee and breakfast. Great vibe and ambiance. I tried their loco moco and overnight oats - which was perfectly filling and not too sweet. Love that they serve local brands like Talia's Bagels. It's counter service so you order and sit wherever you want. Great spot also to get some work done in the morning. Bar looks super nice too. will be back!

Wow we ordered the pepperoni pizza and two beers. Let's start with the two beers they simply put the beers on the counter no glass didn't even open them, not that I can't do that by myself but it would have been nice to have a glass to drink out of. Now the "pizza" we got it to go, it came out in about 5 minutes, now I have worked in a pizza place before and can tell you a fresh pizza takes longer that 5 minutes to make. We walked it across the street to our hotel opened that box and almost fell over . It had to have been sitting in their kitchen for a while, it was cold and is clearly the worst pizza I've ever had the bill was 45 dollars I do not recommend this place! I only gave it 1star because you can't give it 0

This was my second time staying at the Romer, and I was excited that there was a restaurant now. On the second night of my stay, I had no plans, so I thought I'd eat in. It is a little confusing when ordering, but I get it. However, I was told later that the bar offered full service which is where I sat.I ordered the kale salad which was delicious, especially the dressing! I also had a slice of the pepperoni pizza which was good. I started with the Bramble Lama Ding Dong which was like a blackberry margarita and very good! For dessert, I ordered their version of a canneloni with POG filling(?) or was it just passion fruit...either way, it was delicious! It was a very pleasant dinner.I actually came back the next morning for breakfast after my workout. Driving back to the property I was thinking of where to go, and then I just realized, why not just go back to the hotel. Now the order at the counter for breakfast and lunch is great, but for dinner, I would rather have table service.I had a cappuccino, the Greek yogurt cup, and a croissant. The coffee was great! The yogurt hit the spot. The croissant was a disappointment. Perhaps warming it up in an oven would be better since it wasn't flaky at all. The staff is young, some a little green, but friendly. They all were eager that everything was good. I would definitely consider eating here on my next visit. It is very casual and you can sit inside or out.

We were staying across the street and went here for pizza and salad. We were greeted very warmly and seated at a booth. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a salad. The pizza came in the shape of a rectangle on a French bread crust, and there was a lot of very tasty pepperoni!! Just enough cheese and sauce!! The dressing was a green goddess, and the greens were kind of bitter. As a special treat, we were treated to a free dessert of lady fingers with chocolate dust on top and mascarpone. It was not overly sweet, so it was perfect for me!! Don't miss this hidden GEM!!

Not only was the food amazing but the service was a league above! Our server Ethan was very accommodating and the bartender/ super friendly server Kama went out of his way to serve us no master how picky or difficult we were. We also saw the everyone else working hard like kepa and manoa in the back, and rio using her artistic skills on a sign! And we saw sara hard at work in the back as well. Everyone was so kind and we even made friends with them! Gave us a nice shelter from the out side crazy's. I loved my pizza too along with the art work and decorations every where but not overwhelming! Kama was definitely a super hard worker glad to see some people like that are still around.
