Found out about this place by watching Youtube video reviews. Chicken is pretty good but the lady gave me the piece that was in the front meaning that it was placed in the cabinet first. I think the chicken may have been in the cabinet a little too long in that half of the chicken was a little dry. The other half was really good but at $3.99 for a single piece of chicken I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

*4 stars for their delicious fried chicken*If you're ever in the area and you're craving some good fried chicken you should definitely stop here. I would have never known! It's a gas station that also has ready made food plates available. The store is pretty clean inside and the chicken sits under a warmer. They also have potato wedges and fried chicken skin for munching (like chicharron but chicken skins). I got the regular fried chicken plate which comes with a scoop of mac salad, two pieces of chicken, and rice. The chicken was super crispy and the flavor was on point! It's even more delicious if you sprinkle it with some shoyu (I know, at first I was like what? Then I was like YUM!)I would definitely come back here just for the fried chicken. This is a perfect pit stop coming to or from the beach!Oh yeah we also tried the adobo but it was WAY too oily. Just stick to the chicken.

IThey got the best kalua pork on the island hands down and it's not even close. You know it's smacking when you see locals tearing up their plate of food in their cars. Kalua pork was moist, huge portion, and seasoned well. This is a must stop.

Fastop (or Freedom) is perhaps the least talked about food place on the westside, maybe because Fastop isn't just a food place--it's a gas station. Upon seeing the reviews for Fastop's fried chicken on Yelp, I had to go visit. I was surprised by the lack of brand names in their food cases. The fried chicken sat in the warmer like the fried chicken at the Foodland deli. I ordered the mini chicken plate, which came with a scoop of rice and potato salad. Their spam musubi also seemed to be made in-house.The fried chicken plate was decent. The rice was good, the potato salad was okay (a little bland), but the chicken redeemed itself. Crispy and well-seasoned, the chicken well exceeded my expectations. The musubi was okay too, but I felt the musubi rice was not adequately salted or seasoned. It seemed bland and dry compared to the rice in the 7-Eleven musubi. The teriyaki sauce was just okay too. Maybe with a recipe change and better-seasoned rice, the musubi can become a knockout. I gave Fastop three stars for exceeding my expectations as far as a gas station goes. There is real potential here to make Fastop into an up-and-coming takeout eatery.

The chicken is not the same as before. It is poorly seasoned. Still has the crispy satisfaction but I really really believe that the recipe has changed. Chicken used to be the highlight. But now it's a doozy.

Somebody told me had one place that sold DA BEST CHICKEN on the westside. OK so we had to check it out. Thru research and investimagating we finally found FASTOP in Nanakuli before Sack N Save at the Freedom Gas station. The chicken was tasty, big, and ONO. The potato wedges was Da BOM too. Gave a 3 star cuz it IS a gas station and only the chicken was worth it.
