I have all good things to say about this place. This place takes it to another level. I have stayed at a lot of nice hotels and this is my favorite in Oahu. The food is excellent . The massages were great. The rooms are the best in Hawaii for sure. Like I said I stayed everywhere already. I have fomo and I am irresponsible so I spend a lot on hotels. The private dinners is a must here. Also everyone is so nice including Wesley, Ralph, Manu. The service was the best part. My family and I are coming back for sure . The location is excellent and there is also a private pool just for your family to enjoy.

Located in Waikiki, this newly renovated Hotel just went thru a $50 Million renovation. Consisting of just 9 suites all averaging about 2,200 square feet. I have been told that everything is imported. The quality is outstanding which is why ...... $5K per night starting. It's definitely not in everyone's budget to stay here but the staff knows how to cater to this type of clientele. Valet parking ... butler.... private chef.... you name it, they will make it happen. Don't try and go there yet unless you are dining or staying. The front is locked and you have to pass the doorman to get in. No peeking in yet.

We just arrived at Espacio and they sure don't exaggerate...this place is a true jewel! From the room you would never know you are right in the middle of Waikiki! We are just starting our trip so I will update this review at the end, but so far this boutique hotel has exceeded expectations by far!Updating my review as we have now completed our stay at Espacio. Each and every day their staff was so incredibly helpful, accommodating, friendly, warm and welcoming. We were on Oahu to help out our parents who live in Honolulu, so being able to call the Espacio "home" for 5 days was so much more than convenient. Their staff made EVERYTHING easy during our stay. But beyond that, the location is absolutely perfect. We were able to get things done with our parents during the day and get "home" with enough time to get to the beach for an hour or two at the days end. I was worried being close to all the action of Waikiki would make for a noisy stay, but from our beautiful 2 bedroom suite high atop the big Banyan tree, you would never know we were right in the heart of town. Having a full kitchen in the suite made it super convenient for us so that we didn't need to rely on eating out all the time and could also prepare food easily to bring to our parents. I was able to fit in yoga from the rooftop early each morning (thanks to the Espacio team setting it up with CB Wellness) and it was heavenly. To practice with the gentle ocean breeze and gaze out to that view literally makes you feel like you are on top of the world. At a time when Hawaii is so busy and rental cars are hard to come by, the team at Espacio had a beautiful rental secured just for us. We didn't even need to leave the hotel to pick it up or return it. They really made everything so easy throughout our stay. If I am really picky I would say that they should have a better coffee maker in the room or even just a French press, but that's about it. There isn't much that they could improve on simply because they did everything right! Their name perfectly suits them, as we completely felt like our suite was our own perfect, quiet, comfortable, luxurious space right in the center of Waikiki. I have been lucky enough to visit 4 and 5 star spas all over the world and Espacio Spa is truly ... extraordinary. It's not just the location - which is breathtaking - on the top floor of the stunning and exclusive Espacio Hotel across the street from the landmark banyan tree on Waikiki beach. Or the views - Diamond head majestically to your left and beautiful Waikiki and the Pacific Ocean in front of you and to the right as far as the eye can see. What makes Espacio Spa "extra" extraordinary is the people and the attention to every detail. Because this is a very small boutique spa, the service is very personalized. We (mother-daughter trip with my childhood best friend & her daughter) were greeted at the beautiful waterwall entrance by Kate, Espacio Spa Manager, who escorted us to the rooftop spa. She was so warm and inviting! After checking in, we were given an hour to enjoy the private pool and hot tub all to ourselves. Our InstagramIng daughters were in heaven:-). Everything from the towels - custom & gorgeous - to the lounge chairs to the amenities were perfection.We all chose to experience the Lomi Lomi massage ... which I have experienced twice before but this was exceptional. Our talented and intuitive massage therapists began with a Lomi Lomi mantra in Hawaiian that set the stage for an hour massage that left us all relaxed, rejuvenated and in a true Aloha state of mind. Espacio Spa also has its own specialty formulated massage oil made in Hawaii ... icing on the cake and true 5 star luxury.We are ALL anxious to return and hopefully next time we'll be guests of this stunning boutique hotel. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews on here. My family and I stayed at Espacio for a week, and we had a wonderful time. We were originally planning to stay at an Airbnb further from the tourist zone and closer to family, but once short-term rentals became all but outlawed in Honolulu, we had a change in plans. Espacio was much more expensive than Airbnb, but we still felt we got a good "deal" for everything that came with our stay (note that we took advantage of their soft-opening rate). I've stayed in some pretty nice hotels both domestically and internationally, and even though the rates were high, I would still sometimes leave feeling nickel and dimed. But not at Espacio. Included in our package was exclusive use of a new Mercedes SUV, a personal butler (Wesley was very nice and helpful), a fully stocked fridge, continental breakfast served daily in-suite, wine credit, housekeeping service (2x/day), and a daily package of goodies from La Tour Bakehouse accompanied by sweet messages from the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and down to earth, lacking any sort of pretense. The staff was particularly kind to my two year old son, engaging with him and even leaving behind little notes for him. The accommodations were absolutely beautiful and it felt like we were staying in a large condo rather than a hotel. There are only nine units, so it was very private. We stayed in the Diamond Suite penthouse which had three large and well appointed bedrooms (one was technically an office/bedroom), each with their own bathroom. The great room had an open floor plan and was very spacious. The lanai (balcony) had sweeping views of Waikiki, which we could enjoy from the cushy patio furniture or the jacuzzi. The design definitely has a Japanese aesthetic, and feels clean, minimalist, and modern (but so comfortable). The location was excellent and quite convenient. It is at the end of Kalakaua, so it was easy to venture into the center of Waikiki and do some shopping, without being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The beach is right across the street, so it was super easy to access every day. If Yelp allowed a half star rating system, I would probably dock Espacio half a star because we did experience a few issues. We had trouble controlling the temperature in some of the rooms, and while we were able to have the problems resolved, the issue happened several times. We also did not like the washing machine provided in-unit, because it was not very intuitive to use. We got our washer/dryer combo machine into this weird state where we could not open it! Finally, while we appreciated that they arranged our pick-up and drop-off at the airport, we experienced communication issues with both trips. We felt they could have been more helpful in this area. For example, we were supposed to have my mom picked up from the airport along with us but because her flight was delayed, she didn't arrive with us. Instead of offering to help us arrange transportation, we were told they limited their pick-up to once a day, which was less than helpful. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our time there, as it was one of the highlights of our vacation. It made our trip stress-free and relaxing. Thanks to everyone who made our stay a great one.

Me and my family stayed at this hotel PenthouseFrom the very beginning we came, people from the front desk already gave us some attitude and staring at us! Yes we are locals, we are kamaaina. We are not tourists or some kind of a business man. But we are human. The reason why we wnt there because we got invited for my god daughter birthday celebration. We have been checked in to different kinds hotel in waikiki but this was the first time that we had such a horrible experience. They should learn how to respect their guests visitor as well not only with the tourists people or business men. We are kamaina we are locals and we deserve to treat with dignity and respect from the management of this property.

Two stars was only because the guys downstairs were welcoming and helpful.This place is nice, don't get me wrong but being mistreated is just wrong, especially being locals staying at this high end hotel!!!!Just because we are local don't mean that u treat tourists better than us!! Talk about discrimination at its finest!!!My family had the whole top- the Penthouse.Thanks Espacio team for doing a great job ruining our family weekend and chasing us out!!!!! Never ever with them!!!! Oh and let's not forget, there is a bee hive on the penthouse floor, be careful before you get bit from the bee like how my brother got bit on his neck.

So devastated,, after all the preparation for my daughters bday, my family and closest friends took a time off from work to celebrate with us for my daughters bday but the management of espacio waikiki ruined everything. We felt so humiliated and keepcalling us in our room. The reason why i booked with them is to accomodate all people who closest to our family, my daughters godparents, relatives and the kids which is my daughters cousin but they didnt allow them to use the pool at the roof deck. They called me and saying only registered guests are allowed to use the pool. The people who's at the pool were all my family! My brother, sisters and their kids wanted to enjoy and have fun . The management told me that they have to get out from there because they are not allowed??! For $3,535/ night , they couldnt let them use the pool area!? They simply ruined the happiness of those children who just wanted to go swim at the pool. What is the purpose of making a reservation of that pool area for my family to enjoy when they were not even allowed to use that ameneties. I booked this thru third party at booking.com. After i booked, espacio sent me an email but they never disclose or sent me the policy/ rules and regulations at the hotel. When i did a reservation for the pool area to use, they indicate , enjoy staying withyour family amd bday celebrant? That doesnt make any sense at all! We do appreciate all the the things they offered to us, like upgrading our suite, but i realized if this was upgrade or downgrade? coz originally i suppose to have 3 full bedrooms meaning with 3 beds in each rooms, but they ended up giving us 2 bedrooms and 1 den, but anyway i just let it go. Yes lots of freebies, things that they offered, of course for $3,535/ night that we spent from our hard earned money, we deserve all that. Although they gave us some freebies and complimentary things, that doesnt mean that they already have the right to treat us like trash! I feel so sorry for my family and closest friends, worst experienced we had that night! Too much stress, emotional damage up to now, i couldnt imagine! This people who do business in Hawaii should treat locals and residents of Hawaii with respect and dignity. First time it happened to us, we have been staying at hilton, sheraton, marriot hotel but we never experienced those kind horrible treatment! too much discrimination. This is a penthouse, for godsake! Why cant they just leave us alone! Especially those poor children, who really want was to enjoy to swim at the pool area. We never violate any rule as far as im concern. We were all felt humiliated, felt so devastated so we decided to leave and not spending overnight atthe property. We re suppose to do some bbq at the roof deck but we ended up not doing it because everything was ruined already, did not had complimentary breakfast at mugen, all we want is to leave the property asap, because of the horrible experienced we had from the manager that night! We spent $3,535 , this is wjat we get ? and this is not about the money, its not everything about the money but yes! they even refused to give us the refund.
