I have been training at Elite Fitness for ~18 months and it has changed my life. I first put in an inquiry through Yelp after seeing the glowing reviews here. Kepa jumped on a call with me the same day to learn more about my goals & needs, and then brought me in for an in-person assessment. From there he set me up with Daniel who is hands-down the best personal trainer I've ever worked with. So happy to be back to train with my all time favorite personal trainer, Iokepa Balihot of Elite Fitness! I moved back to the mainland and have not been able to find a trainer as awesome as he is!!! Kepa's awesome...He comes up with exercises that challenge you but are still crazy fun. He's not the type of trainer to just give you a list of random stuff to do (okay sometimes he does and it's a tough workout) but he's with you every step of the way.I can get really lazy and it really helps to have someone who can push you to get further without imagining him as Captain Blood or something.I think the thing that makes him one of the best trainers is that he takes time to get to know you, and you don't think of him as just another trainer at a gym... he's more like that crazy friend who would rather punch a tennis ball-tied to a string-strapped to your head than go for a run.

Ive been with Elite Fitness for 7 months. I came to Kepa with some unique health challenges. I was over 200 lbs and not very active. The thing that makes Kepa an awesome trainer is his ability to work with clients with varying skills and goals. I've never been a serious workout person, but I've ALWAYS looked forward to Kepa's sessions (once I got there). He makes them challenging but doable, fun but you still feel like you got a worthwhile workout in. He provides suggestions for modifications depending on your ability, and will correct your form to make sure you won't injure yourself. I've been training with Kepa for 3 months and he has helped me reach my initial goal in such a short period of time by giving me a complete program that not only focuses on exercise but also the importance of proper nutrition. He frequently switches up my workout routines and while they are challenging, they are quite enjoyable. I am currently doing the 12 week challenge with Kepa of Elite Fitness and so far so good but I'm only 2 days in so I'll write again in 11 weeks. I like my trainer because he's professional, sweet, cute, considerate, accommodating and doesn't kick my older a$$ too hard. Just hard enough. Lol! He's also very knowledgeable not only with training based on your individual needs but with nutrition too. I can't wait to see my results in 12 weeks and I'll probably keep going with Kepa after.

I have trained with both Iokepa and Daniel for almost 2 years now and they are fantastic trainers. Daniel trains with intensity and confidence - always challenging me to train hard, to try my best and to beat personal records (which he keeps track of). We laugh a lot too! Iokepa is experienced, personable, packs a workout and also teaches me basic boxing moves (very fun, different, cardio for sure). They both incorporate training aimed at improving my golf swing. We discuss following a healthy diet and the importance of rest too. Overall, I am stronger, more toned and steadier on my feet. Good job guys!
