We was in Waipahu when they had the massive traffic jam and instead of sitting in traffic we decided to get some good Filipino food since we were there.Always good food and good service! Family operated!I had the sari sari and it was delicious and tasty and it came out hot and lots of fresh vegetables and other great ingredients! My wife had the 3 choice plate which she enjoy the quality and taste at Elena's is hard to beat! They share a large parking lot with of business. The restaurant and restrooms are clean and well kept!

I ordered the February Special: Guisantes, Lechon Kawali, Pancit, Pork Adobo Omelet at $17.75 with side order of Mongo Beans at extra of $4.00. ($17.75 + $4.00 tax + online app fee + 15% tip = $28.23.Flavor inconsistencies: Guisantes, Mongo Beans were way too salty to eat. Lechon tidbits did not taste fresh and had no taste. Pancit also had no taste but did offset the saltiness of the Guisantes and Mongo Beans. Pork Adobo Omelet was bland with threads of adobo. Customer service was good, as expected. The February Special sounded like a good deal by today's standards, if only each item was seasoned well. With tip, I paid $28.23, as I thought I would get 2 meals from this. Unfortunately, I ate what I could and tossed the rest. I will not be returning.

Of course, My absolute fave and highly recommend is the Lechon Kawali Plate. Adobo fried rice and Egg are just the perfect filipino combination. We definitely always come here when craving this plate. We love adding vinegar to add a little more flavor. Located in Waipahu and they also have dine in options as well If you want to sit and eat inside. Friendly service as always and decent pricing on the menu. If you are ever in Waipahu definitely recommend stopping by. A lot of parking available right in front.

This place has been here longer than my entire life on Oahu and I have never eaten at Elena's until today! Im so mad at myself for not coming here sooner!! It's been around for 50 years celebrating 50 years in 2024! Lots of parking available although it was packed when i came at noon. I also saw they have holiday meals too for the upcoming Christmas holiday. I got a take out Triple D which is a pork adobo fried rice omelette with a generous side of Lechon Pork. OMG so good!!! This place is da Bomb, I need to go back and try more dishes. The prices are reasonable too and the portions are so generous. Cant wait to try more dishes here.

My husband and I used to order their fried rice regularly but haven't been here for a long time. We'd order their Pork Adobo Fried Rice Omelet and share but it had more rice than pork adobo so we stopped. We then started ordering their Regular Fried Rice Omelet that includes Bacon, Spam, Portuguese Sausage and Ham because they put a lot of meat in it.Today, we ordered the Regular Fried Rice Omelet. Well, like the Pork Adobo, there was more rice than meat so we didn't enjoy it and for $14.99 for the egg, little meat and a LOT of rice, this is considered expensive. Don't think I'd come back.FYI: They charge 3% surcharge for credit card purchases. Would've been nice if they mentioned it before I paid. Saw their sign after I paid and was waiting for my food...smhFood for thought: If you want customers to return, the food needs to be memorable. Their last thought of the food will keep them coming back for more IF you can make them think "This food is awesome...I want more!"

I did a carry out order on a Saturday around lunch time. Pickup time was about 30 minutes after placing order, and it was ready right on time. They do check your ID to make sure it matches with the order name, so don't forget that!I ordered the Triple D, which had pork adobo fried rice and the lechon special. I really appreciate the small chunks of the pork belly, I know it is often cut into really big pieces which can be hard to eat! They were all perfectly crisp with a good ratio of meat and not too much fat sprinkled in. (I absolutely think you need SOME of the fatty pieces, but you don't want too many) The rice was really flavorful and I'm interested in trying their adobo in the future. We also did an order of Shanghai Lumpia, which were tasty with the vinegar sauce included! Quantities are fairly large, service was pleasant, food was great. The only tricky part is that the parking lot can be a little crazy but it might just require a little bit of patience. Dine in also might be more challenging on weekends, it seemed like most of the tables were full and waiting for their orders. But worth it either way!

After golf the group stopped here. We had to order first and then be seated. We also had the "opportunity" to tip before we even were seated, which I thought "different" so I tipped 15% cuz it felt more like takeout. The food is consistently good. We were seated but the food was provided in takeout containers. Different but no matter, it was all good and had leftovers so it saved time. They're running a great February special for $17.95. It included pork adobo fried rice omlett, pancit, lechon Kawali and pork guisantes. It's a great combo! You should give it a try.

This used to be one of my favorite Filipino places on the island. And it's definitely changed in there Quality your feet. I'm sorry to say the fried rice had hardly any taste in it except for soy sauce no eggs, or any type of Napa cabbage like they used to before. I did enjoy their omelette which they said they were famous for. They have a special menu for three things at $15 which I tried and my family that came with me also tried a different variety of the combinations.

Arrive with an appetite ready to eat. Enter door on your left. Bright ambience. Must order and pay for your food before sitting down. August Special $16.99: PancitLechon KawaliRan out of chicken adobo before noon and willing to replace with pork adobo for same price. Pork adobo omelette fried rice Cashier and Server asked us if we're dining in? We said, "Yes." She graciously informed and inquired with us if we would like to wait inside for 40 mins. We responded, "Yes." Given a number order. Time went by quickly. As soon as another worker cleaned and cleared the table, we're ready to sit and placed our number order on the table. Pancit bihon tasted well balanced with carrots, cabbage, green onions, and black peppers. Lechon kawali offered crispy and crunchy skin from the pork, diced tomatoes, onions. Pork adobo tasted tender and moist with rendered excess fat. A few spoonfuls of pork adobo fried rice omelette tasted crispy with flavorful pork adobo tucked neatly in omelette. Vinegar in the pork adobo fried rice dominated my taste buds, coated and felt very heavy in my tummy when I consumed more. I can eat the omelette, not the pork adobo fried rice. Not what I expected or would've liked to happen. They offer reusable containers and bowls, foil, and reusable bag to go. Informed same Cashier and Server, "Salamat po." She smiled.
