Love that they come down Finance Factors on Bishop. Perf spot for a lunchwagon...tell your wagon friends. I feel like they are more efficient than usual. I waited all of 3 minutes before I got my plates. Ordered the lechon special with guisantes. Last time hardly had peas but this time had choke. So I ate the pork and saved the rest for the hubs' dinner. Ordered the hubs a diniguan special with sari-sari. He liked it all. Only thing is those paper containers get sogs with the heat and then blood got everywhere. Bleh. Oh well...live and learn. My suggestion...I think it needs a salad or something to make me feel less guilty. Maybe just 1 starch and then veggies. I ate the veggies from the pancit and saved the pancit for a cheat day...and the rice is still in my fridge.

I don't know if this location is different from their wagons that go to the food/craft fair events, but I found Elena's to be a classic Filipino food spot. They serve well known Filipino dishes, and it isn't too daunting if you don't eat Filipino food often. The pancit reminded me of my childhood; simple, nothing too fancy, but so delicious! Pork gisantes is always a go to for me and they nailed it, maybe a little on the oily side though--I still ate it all up. I have a couple bones to pick though...their most popular dish the adobo fried rice omelette just didn't seem to have much adobo. Ironic much? There were bits here and there but it didn't make it obvious that this is ADOBO, so if you aren't into its vinegary taste then maybe this is for you? If you're looking for some real Filipino food though, opt out. Their lumpia was also small :( but a lotta lumpia spots these days sell small sized ones so maybe I can't complain here.

If you need to have a productive afternoon, Elena's is probably not the place to go. Your lechon/guisantes induced coma will render you somewhat useless, though deeply satiated. The lechon is a bit closer to chicharron, in that there's not a ton of meat, but there is a ton of amazing crispy skin. This isn't a bad thing but it's worth remaking upon.Their schedule is a little tough to figure so you might want to check their instagram. They're basically there two thursdays a month.

Elena's Filipino Lunchwagon usually parks by Central Pacific Bank (on the mauka diamond head corner of King and Alakea) on random Thursdays. For the rest of 2017, I believe the schedule is November 9, December 7 and 14. Be sure to keep an eye on their facebook page for their locations because they are all over the island! I usually always get the pork adobo fried rice omelette which is yuuuuge! I can never finish it. But maybe thats because I always have to get their shanghai lumpia as well. Their chicken adobo, pork guisantes and sari sari are always super ono! And Aunty taking the orders has so much aloha - she really knows how to make you feel welcome so you wanna come back for more! Oh, and do not pass up the pickled ong choy in the big bottle. NO shame scoop um on your plate!! The line can get pretty long but it moves fast. Remember to bring cash! Its cash only!

My co-worker showed me this place the other day and my god, why did I take so long to come here? The auntie that took my order was supaaa nice and the food was so ono! I ordered the pork adobo fried rice omelette with a side of their special lechon. The pork fried rice was on point, not too salty, but seasoned just right. I added siracha to mines cause I like it spicy ! Their special lechon reminds me of lomi salmon, but instead of the salmon, it had crunchy pork, yummm! I highly recommend this place, and to the auntie that works there, you keep doing whatchu doing! Food 5/5Auntie 5/5Overall 5/5

(Pre- COVID-19 Review) I was able to visit the lunchwagon outside of Central Pacific Bank in Downtown right before it stopped its regular Thursdays there. They're efficient in moving through the line so it didn't take long for me to have my freshly made PORK ADOBO FRIED RICE OMELETTE. As it was my first time I had to order their most popular item but I wanted to try more! The pork adobo fried rice omelette was excellent though so I'm glad I had a chance to finally try it while on vacation here.

Yelp has the wrong directions...check the website of the restaurant. We went all the way to the location to find out they weren't there.
