The decision that my husband and I made to book Elegant Catering for our wedding was one of the best planning decisions we made. They truly deserve more than 5 stars as their food and service was one of the highlights for our guests, the food is the top praise we've received in the days since our wedding.We were introduced to Carol and Mel through our coordinator. They were kind and started by asking what our favorite foods to eat were, with that they gave us ideas that worked within our budget.Throughout the planning process I interacted with Carol the most, she was very kind and helpful.A benefit to hiring Elegant Catering is that they do not just produce tasty food, they also create a beautifully decorated table with lights, flowers, sushi boats, giant bamboo, etc. They go above and beyond with the decorations.We had food stations for our wedding, I highly recommend going that route as guests get up more and are given more chances to mingle. We had five stations.1) Big Island Mushroom station: sauteed mushrooms in an amazing butter/wine sauce on toasted bread.2) Grilled Salmon with a grilled fruit salsa and barley salad.3) Mini Grilled Pastrami Sandwiches with salad.4) Hibachi Chicken with pineapple fried rice5) Kataifi Shrimp with a sweet chili aioli.The overwhelming favorites were the mini grilled pastrami sandwiches and kataifi shrimp. You must get both! The pastrami sandwiches were amazing, I really can't explain it but they were out of this world. Once you ate a kataifi shrimp you had to get more, some of my guests said they had at least 10 of those! The Big Island Mushroom was a big hit as well and is a great option for vegetarians, it's much more special than the mushroom on bread that it might read as, there is a lot of flavor within the mixed mushrooms.There is not one thing that my husband and I wish was different regarding the food. I actually can't wait for an excuse for a future party that needs to be catered because without a doubt I would hire Elegant Catering and recommend them to anyone.

Carol is the Best! And I love her foods. My favorite is the roast pork with gravy. Deliberately, I love coming on Tuesdays- you get a chance to try her desserts. Soooo Goood! What I love about Carol is that she genuinely cares to know you and she's always happy rain or shine.

I work as a bartender for events and weddings, so that being said I eat A LOT of banquet food! OMG am I ever so happy when I arrive to work and see that Carol and Mel are the ones providing the food!!!!!!! It is always fresh and prepared on the spot, with the presentation being beautiful too! I cannot recommend them enough.

With only 4 days notice they were able to meet with us and plan out a menu to accommodate our Japanese and American guests, supply tables/chairs and meet our budget. We are grateful for their attention to detail and all of our guests have nothing but positive comments about the cuisine and service. Thank you Elegant Catering for making our wedding reception dinner a huge success. Simply perfection.

My guests raved about the taste and loved the presentation. Carol, Mel and staff made our military New Year's Reception a huge success and stress free event for us by providing top notch service and care. Did I mention that their service included full set up and thank heavens, Full Clean Up!!! Carol even responded and was able to provide a last minute request that I requested the day of the event. I had Elegant Catering for my daughter's graduation party. That was an excellent choice. There was so much care, attention and creativity. The food was excellent and very well presented. I like the idea of having several stations which was more interesting than serving out of chafers. I will call on them in the future.

We have ordered prime rib and ham from Elegant for the last 2 years for our office Christmas party. Spectacular food, great service and Molokai friendly people! Wouldn't go anywhere else.Doug Dudevoir

I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say about Carol, Mel and their crew for their amazing service, food, hospitality, and care! They just catered and provided full set up and clean up services for my wedding and it was nothing short but phenomenal! They went above and beyond what I had ever envisioned and left myself, husband, and our guests just raving about the food quality and beautiful station displays! If anyone is looking to find a different and unique catered experience, call Carol! They will make sure your event is suited appropriate to you as an individual and work with all your needs and budgets. Thank you again Carol and Mel!!
