El Burrito

Forever and Ever...El Burrito has been at this location for what seems like forever. This little corner property at the corner of Piikoi and Kapiolani has resisted change and gives you a glimpse of what the surrounding Ala Moana Center area was once like- before the high-rise bldgs started to dominate the neighborhood. Parking is basically on the street. They are currently takeout, but hoping to do indoor dining again. I would stop by for a bite to eat when I had lunch with working friends when my appointments were downtown. The authenticity of the food could be challenged but this pretty much holds true for so many restaurants. Many restaurants make the motherland dishes with a pinch of large local touch. What I do know, the foos is enjoyable and the service great. Our go.to orders are the chicken enchilada and chili relleno plates. The sauces are on the mild side which is how we like it but they will spice it up upon request. Although the chips/salsa is not included the cost is reasonable and the serving pretty generous. This is definitely a place we enjoy getting take out from and it's a short walk from Ala Moana shopping center. When the skyline rail finally gets to Ala Moana Centet I hope El Burrito is still there to provide good local style Mexican Kau Kau to the masses. Give'um a try when in the area- support local!

El burrito has been around for like 25 years. A friend of mine was raving about their burritos, so I had to try it. Burrito was average size, average taste. Nothing to write home about. I use Uber eats to deliver and the containers Were a mess. Not sure if that was from Uber eats or from the restaurant. Lately every time I go by this restaurant it's closed, so I don't know if I'm just missing the hours that they're open or if they're on a hiatus? Either way, it is Mexican food, just not excellent Mexican food.

Been passing this place since I was a small kid, never tried it. Try it for the first time today pretty good and it's good. I am very happy. I tried it out. I ordered the enchilada and the Menudo. and I will order from this place again I said EL Burrito is good and I love Mexican food

El Burrito is honestly one of the best restaurants that I have ever worked with for catering. I was referred to this restaurant by my father who used to order catering for his company and he mentioned that El Burrito is the perfect place to order catering from if you're looking for Mexican Food. The owner (bless her heart) is incredibly generous and will work with you on your budget and needs for what you want to order. It's no wonder that they've been opened for over 30 years! Compared to many other restaurants that I've called for catering, El Burrito was flexible, easy to work with, and absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for all your help and for making our party such a delight! The food was absolutely amazing, freshly cooked and tasty!

My husband and I love this place! Food is awesome and their salsa is the best! We order online through Grub Hub and every time we order, it's been on spot delicious!! They have the nicest people working there too! Always a pleasure to support them!! Thank you El Burrito!!!

Love their healthy posole! My daughter loves their tacos, beans and rice. The woman who cooks and manages the place is so generous and sweet. The perfect little secret takeout Mexican joint.

Just GOOD! Coming from a whole Cali girl!! Beans and sauces are SO good. Ambiance is quaint.

Absolutely worth the trip. I'm a Texas girlie relocated to Hawaii and I miss me some Mexican food. Absolutely worth it. They could charge double for this and I'd pay it! The Employee I saw today was so sweet! Inside is clean and well kept. Plates are filled and no skimping on the meat! Side orders like sour cream are nice sizes too!

I remember when they first opened up. Cozy restaurant with authentic flavor. Since changing jobs, it's been awhile. I decided to try delivery since craving for Mexican. I'm glad I did. Everything was great. It was happy food and will make every effort to visit the restaurant. Authentic flavor! Yum
