Local style hole in the wall bar located off Waianamilo amongst a string of others. Welcomed as soon as we entered by a cheerful staff. We did t order any food but were served with some complimentary chips and roasted peanuts. Small, quaint, clean. Service was quick, drinks refilled promptly. Great karaoke setup!

Went to Eclipse Lounge on a Thursday night in Kalihi with a male companion. As we entered the establishment I noticed the bar area as well as a bunch of booths that could hold up to four individuals. We approached the bar and was greeted by one of two female bartenders. We sat at the bar and my companion ordered a Jack and Coke for me plus a bottle of Heineken for himself. My companion was asking about the food options and he was given a menu.Looking over the menu he opted to order the kalbi. Choice of Korean style or salt & pepper kalbi...he chose Korean style. Cost of kalbi is $25.00. Waited several minutes before the plate of Korean kalbi, small plate of Kim chee, and two bowls of rice came out. The kalbi was the thin cut and it tasted delicious. I kind of wished that the meat was on the thicker side. The Kim chee was freshly made since it was on the warm side....would have been better if it was chilled down a bit.Glancing around the bar area I noticed several flat screen televisions. Patrons of the bar can enjoy watching sports, Korean drama, or even sing karaoke. Cost of karaoke is $2.00 a song. My companion and I opted to sing four karaoke songs on Thursday night. I also noticed two electric dart boards on one corner of the establishment. My companion opted to throw a few darts that night as well.We were informed by one of the bartenders that the bar normally has a lot of Korean customers and that the locals would come during Thursday or Friday nights when they work. There were a few locals that Thursday night.Eclipse Lounge is one of several bars located in a small shopping complex on Waiakamilo Street in Kalihi. There's street construction going on around the vicinity....best to pay attention to the detour signs and watch out for the traffic cones.

Best Korean owner, local style. Great people, good eats, fantastic karaoke singers. All fun, meet new friends. This bar is comfortable and relaxing some nights, and most night are karaoke to the max. Great for watching UH football.
