5 StarsAbsolutely incredible! The steak was flawless--tender, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. Paired with some amazing drinks, it was a meal to remember. The atmosphere was on point--great vibe, cozy but vibrant, and perfect for a night out. The waiter was fantastic, super friendly and attentive. Honestly, everything about this place was great , I will add that you didn't feel like you were in Hawaii.

From start to finish, the service was outstanding, with Jasmine and the manager on duty providing attentive and welcoming care. The drinks and food were equally impressive. The Paniolo Mule cocktail and Omakase beer were refreshing, and paired perfectly with the complimentary edamame. We enjoyed a variety of small plates, including the Pansit (which was a delightful twist on the traditional dish, just as we'd been warned), Brussels sprouts, spring roll, manila clams (definitely a must have), ribs, and spicy roll. All were fantastic. I also appreciated the pacing of the meal; the dishes were spaced out perfectly. To top it all off, the complimentary birthday dessert was a thoughtful and unexpected touch.

Special menu Filipino Kamayan feast in celebration of Filipino food week. Reservations were made a were in! It was $75 pp for this amazing feast. Located at the International Market place on the open dinning terrace. It was a beautiful evening and weather was perfect for outdoor dinning While we waited for them to complete the table we were offered an Ube Colada. Yummy! Refreshing and creamy. Once seated there was a a huge mound of food was centered on the table. Keep in mind you're sharing it with 2 other people. There was enough to feed more. Gloves on, chef explained and time to dig in! Rice layered on bottom, topped with different seafood, lumpia, Lechon, and to top it off a fried Tai Snapper. If this special ever comes up again, I'd recommend you try it. Make your reservations early because, they sold out!

Went there for the Aloha Hour aka Happy Hour. I had a burger set that comes with a beer, but they let me pick a cocktail instead and I thought that was cool.I had a guava margarita and it was really good, but so small, well, at least for me. I drank almost like a shot lol. I did get a glass of wine afterwards. This was also a happy hour drink and very reasonable with a nice amount of pour. The burger comes with onion rings on top and also fries on side. The burger was huge, probably over 1/2 pound and tasty. However, as for the doneness, the medium was close to well done. Onion rings had too much batter around and a bit greasy, so I only took a bite. Nevertheless, this was a good deal and you'd be really full for sure. The service was great and everyone was pleasant. I'd like to come back here for dinner in the future.

About 5 years ago my husband and I ate at Eating House in Kauai and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. I was so excited to try it in Waikiki. Everything we tried we loved. There is so much depth and flavor in every dish. We ate at Roy's as well this trip, but we all like Eating House more!We started with pork and crab pillows. So delicate and delicious, I just wish there was more!Brussels, loved the little pork bits and the pepitas, very good. Our mains (everyone had bites of them all), Pomo pork ragu, meat was tender and moist, mushrooms were great, loved it. Poke - was good, but a very small potion, and it doesn't come with rice, which is so strange, so we asked for the rice. Salmon, seared with sizzling Serrano ginger vinaigrette. Excellent. Ramen, broth has elevated flavors and depth. Delicious. Not sure you can go wrong with anything you order. High quality food. We will visit anytime we are here.

This was the first time bringing my whole family to Eating House to celebrate my engagement! In the past, we've stuck to happy hour, from 4-5pm just because it's too good a deal to pass up. But when mom and dad are treating, why not splurge! We made a reservation for 7 and were seated right away. While the menu is organized by appetizers and salads and main dishes, we opted to order tapas/family style so we got a little bit of everything...which was a great choice! From the fish to salads to oysters and dessert, we feasted, every bite feeling so well crafted and capturing an upscale yet local experience. The service was fabulous and our glasses never empty. Highly recommend to celebrate a special occasion, date night, or host friends!

Great happy hour menu. Lots of drinks and good selection of appetizers. Came early, at 4 so had a great seat and welcoming servers. However as more customers came, we really felt deserted by our waitress. The cocktail drinks were wonderful ... Hawaiian martini and mai ti. The appetizer plate had very favorable pieces but limited quality.

It's been a long while since I last came here. I believe is was shortly before 2019's unfortunate pandemic. Anyways, my expectations were surpassed from my memories. The food and service tonight were quite excellent and my birthday dinner guest really enjoyed herself. I, myself, only had 2 of the drinks and had a little of all the food except the Seafood Medley and Oysters.Spiced Apple Crisp: 9/10. I personally really enjoyed this. It had a nice crisp crust and the apples were still not too cooked or soft so it had great textures. The mix of flavors went well together for a great finish to the meal.Melting Hot Chocolate Souffle: 10/10. This is the trademark dessert that should always be eaten at least once. I can't describe how happy I get when I have some (or all). Must have.Coffee Creme Brulee: 7/10. It was good, but we had the Souffle and the crisp. It was outdone and I felt bad for it. I had good flavor and the Biscotti was a nice addition.Espresso Martini: 8/10. I'm not really a coffee drinker so I don't often try something like this. I personally could drink several if it wasn't work in the morning tomorrow.Butterfish Kamameshi: 9/10. Not a traditional kamameshi. It does have the right amount of ingredients to be considered a kamameshi but they are all on top of the rice. I felt this was a pretty interesting take and the butterfish itself was quite tasty.Tender Beef Shortribs: 9/10. Like the name states, they are very tender (boneless!) Shortribs with a nice vegetable Medley. I admit that I had a larger portion of this dish compared to the others.Pineapple Martini: 10/10. This is the right mix of flavors and the Pineapple itself has a nice kick since it is marinated in alcohol. This drink can be dangerous and you'll feel the alcohol later!Lychee Martini: 7/10. Good and refreshing. Unfortunately, it does not compare to the Pineapple or Espresso Martinis. The service was quite attentive even through their busy night and often cleared our plates for new ones without us asking. Thank you Eating House 1849 for the great night that our birthday guest will not forget!

I love the setting for eating house. You gotta go to the third floor of the international marketplace to find it. It is always fun going thru that area with tons of shops and a lot to see. This restaurant has more outdoor seating than inside. The servers were really nice and attentive. The service can be a bit slow but i personally am ok with that. Just means more time to chat. I shared a full kale salad and paella with my wife. Were not big eaters but the appetizer and entree were enough for us. The paella was highly recommended and after trying i know why! It is so flavorful and the grains was cooked very well. It is served on a hot skillet so if u like that crispy rice texture just dont scrape the edges of the pan. The seafood on it was superb, fresh and juicy. Clams, prawns and lobster were just delightful. We were to ld to order The dessert 30 min ahead of time. We had this apple crumble thing with vanilla icecream. Really enjoyable tho i will say that i wish they had shaved the skin off the apple. Would have made it even better. But overall we loved it.
