Yesterday I emailed the StringTech specialist at Easy Music Center and told him about the problems with my Kala ukulele, not being able to be tuned. He said, "Come on down and I'll check it out for you. I'll be here until 6:30 PM". So I went to the store and Brandon checked my ukulele out and said there was nothing wrong except the strings had been tightened too much. He tuned it up but I was so sure I was right about the pegs that we double checked them. Sure enough, he was right. I am suffering a cold and congestion and it has affected my hearing. Thank you, Brandon! Your pleasant attitude and professional know-how are much appreciated and you will continue to be my go-to guy for any problems with my uke. This is my go-to music store because of convenience -- location and the fact that they publish their stock availability on their website. Their website also has an online chatbox in which you can talk with a sales associate for assistance. They are very helpful with advice, if you need information online.I've bought various musical supplies here over the years including bass guitars and amps. I've also received a few bass lessons from Jason Rathyen, which costs $30 for a 30 minute session. Additionally, if you take lessons with Jason, they give you a discount on in-store purchases. Overall, the staff are knowledgable, friendly, and helpful.

Was in the neighborhood so just stopped by as I have never been in this shop and was amazed at how large a place it was and how many musical instruments and accessories they stocked. I have an old Yamaha electric piano but the piano shop I bought it from went out of business. I was pleasantly surprised at how many keyboards and electric pianos they had. My piano is still good but my son likes to play so maybe we'll be back to check out a keyboard or electric piano later (he lives in a condo.) Nice to see businesses like this are still around.

Have to say the guys at easy music Center really came through when I had issues with a new guitar. I end up going in and purchasing a Squier telecaster in order to hot rod it, and when it was going to get some work done, the rod was actually not functional. I took it back and after they did a lot of work to get fender to replace the guitar, they came through and I was able to get a squire telecaster. Bryson, Mike and the other guys that are working there it took them a lot of work to get this resolved, and I greatly appreciate it. Quality staff there and great service and they definitely pulled through!

Went to replace my son's 10+ year old (all ratty) ukulele case, that he had since he was 9 years old. The guys there were so nice and patient with me as they let try me various cases that would fit my son's ukulele. During this time we all joked around like we knew each other for years, though this was my first time in the store. Because they were so nice, I spent a little more money than I anticipated. Definitely will be back.

let me start by saying Ted was super helpful and a very nice guy but when it comes to customer service the staff is super lacking. I went in to look at purchasing a tenor ukulele and after talking to Ted he recommended that I purchase a baritone ukulele because of my big hands. I explained that I wanted a tenor ukulele and he suggested that I could have them restring the baritone ukulele by using GCEA strings so that the baritone ukulele would play like a tenor. So I purchased the ukulele and was told to return the next day at 10:00 am to have them restring it. well that's when the fun began. upon my return they informed me that if I wanted the ukulele restrung it would cost me $60.00 other wise I would need to wait a week and then it would only be $40.00. after spending over $500.00 the day before on a ukulele that they suggested I buy and telling me I could have it restrung I was a little confused and upset at the amount they were going to charge me. The technician that came to get the ukulele to restring it was rude when I voiced my concern about the cost to restring it. So I went to speak to the Manager who basically told me oh well and offered no help. I know that $500.00 is a small amount in the whole scheme of things with the cost of most of the instruments they sell but all I could think about was how they suggested the ukulele I purchased and then charge me $60.00 to have it restrung. I am very disappointed and would definitely not recommend shopping at The Easy Music Store in Honolulu.By the way I actually went to two other music stores and inquired about the cost of restring a ukulele and both stores told me that it would only cost me $5.00 per string as long as I purchased the strings from them. So about $28.00 not $60.00 and by the way I purchased tw/o sets,of ukulele strings for the ukulele I bought at Easy Music Center from the easy Music Store. Hmmmmm I guess the need to make a sale at the cost of customer service is the motto of the manager Michael at the Easy Music Store on South King Street

stopped by just to check keyboard key action types with no intent to buy.Spent quite awhile there. Ted was incredibly patient and helpful... and knowledgable... and also a rel nice guy. Left there with a $2000 keyboard and am very happy with it (I'm pretty fussy). Mahalo Ted! Been doing business with EZ for about 3 decades both for myself and university.
