East Side Bar & Grill

Great place for live music and drinks or even entertainment, when i went tonight they had live trivia games with prizes and karaoke night. The vibe felt good and it became quite packed by 8 pm. I ordered a mahi-mahi entree and my friend ordered the pork belly plate. We both got the crab macaroni salad and upgraded to fried rice. We both thought the food was decent, i didn't have high expectations after reading reviews here so the food exceeded my expectations. The mahi-mahi tasted fresh, way too much garlic but it was good, the fried rice was a typical home made fried rice and my friend really liked the crab macaroni salad. The food was decent but nothing special and just average but was decent. We both got a mixed drink which we both liked. I agree with other reviews that you'd go more for the atmosphere, live music, drinks and company, The service was friendly and the service was good until it got crowded, i'm glad i got in before the crowd and we got our food much quicker than when folks came after it got crowded. They have a separate bar area that seemed packed. Tv screens on the walls to watch sports.I think this place is a nice addition to Kaneohe to hang out and drink w average food. There isn't too many places in Kaneohe to hang out to drink so I'll be back for the atmosphere

Did you ever eat somewhere and then you wish you could go back in time to change your mind? Well, that's what I wish could happen after trying East Side Bar & Grill.Food: we got fries ($9), fried pork belly ($23), and garlic chicken ($22). Coca Cola ($4) and a plantation iced tea ($5). Soda refill was $2.Tbh, I don't even know how to describe the disappointment of this food. Fries were okay. Coke was flat. Plantation iced tea didn't taste good. Added lemon and sweetener and vast improvement. Fried pork belly was hard and bland. Garlic chicken just didn't have taste. Even the potato crab salad was a disappointment. Tack on a service charge to our bill and ... needless to say, we will not be coming back.Skip this place. Unless you're just having a beer and watching the game, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner after he got off work because we came hungry. To drink we had diet Coke. We decided to get the poke nachos because I was craving them. These were pretty good. We also got the lechon and this was delicious because it was fresh and tasted so tender. It wasn't hard or tough. Both delicious however the service was a little slow but they were busy on a Friday night. There was live music by a guy so singing and playing guitar. So freaking amazing. Definitely worth coming here. However parking was difficult to find because it does get busy. I highly recommend this restaurant to eat. I definitely will be back with my boyfriend.

We went on DJ trivia night and it was fun! Food was on point and the portions are plentiful. There are a lot of tv's to watch whatever sport is on. There is bar seating or regular seating for larger parties which is great. The service was on point too.

Came here last Tuesday night only because it was the only place we saw that was open when we drove into the plaza. We were so glad we found this place. The Keala Band was playing and they were so good and harmonized beautifully. Loved how people from here audience would come up and dance Hula. Service was great the it seemed to be one waitress and she was very helpful with the menu since we have never been there before. The pupils menu is served family style. We had the salt and pepper shrimp, garlic shrimp, peluha short ribs & enoki rice rolls. All were very good but our favorite was the enoki rice rolls and the garlic shrimp. We had a great time. Will definitely return again!

Food is consistently ono. Robin was our server tonight and she was awesome Pulehu ribs, crispy pork belly, noodles all perfect!

Their food is absolutely horrible. We ordered the nachos and the mushrooms. The mushrooms were swimming in butter and had no taste at all. The nachos were thrown together with fake cheese and kalua pig, with no other toppings; again, flavorless. We were so disappointed, especially for the pretty money we paid for them.I will say the restaurant is beautiful and the servers were very nice.

Tonight I caught a small part of the Super Bowl at the bar. This bar has the BEST recipe for this event. From the free pupus to the raffles of 50" Vizios TVs to the staff that keeps their cool and delivers the best service as usual regardless of the demand on them. I almost hate telling anyone how great this place is. It is the best local bar on the Windward side bar none (pun unavoidable). No ka oi. Normal days I get the fried calamari or Pork belly. But today I enjoyed their wings and nachos on the house and when they turned the lights out so we could enjoy the halftime performance I knew they wanted their customer to experience it all. They're artists of the bar experience. This staff is the magic. The location is perfect. The crowd is our community. I Love this bar's vibe.

Went there for lunch; other than 4 guys on the bar we were the only ones there at a table. The bartender was the only person on the floor and handling the bar. She was very friendly and service-oriented.The food was great! Had a burger; a little on the dry side but good flavor. I have no idea how their special fries are but the basic order itself was really good! I would go back again. Prices were reasonable for what you get.Ambience was quiet and nice, was able to have a relaxing conversation without being rushed out.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to dive into a local hole in the wall brimming with music and warmth. The food was amazing the atmosphere was very local, and friendly. It was the perfect mom and pop. There was live music everything from local island songs to American classics. Just incredible. The service was quick i had no complaints.
