The store specializes in custom prints with a variety of t-shirts and also custom made clothing that is made in store. The shop associate (owner?) was cutting fabric while we were there. The locally made clothing uses a synthetic moisture wicking fabric and I was after 100% cotton so focused on the t-shirts. They have lots of interesting prints and carry sizes from small to XXL. The cotton t-shirts are imported or from Hanes, but the prints are done in store so you are supporting local artisans even when you do not buy the custom clothing. They also have a variety of gifts such as jewelry and decor items.

This IS a cute shop but the sales clerk had a nasty, bad attitude. She was very abrupt with the customers before us. I asked her a couple questions and received the same bad attitude. My son said something to me about her nastiness sooo even though there were some really cute, local kine items that I wanted, I bypassed and left the shop... soooo sad...he said maybe she hungry, I said maybe she just a gater...hmmm

East Honolulu Clothing Company packs a lot into a small space...everything except clothing. While the store has only two small racks of men's and women's clothing, it's chock-a-block with an eclectic mix of hawaiiana, including home furnishings, jewelry, giftables, artwork, and personal care products. There's even a screen printing press on site! Nearly everything they sell is locally crafted and affordably priced. As you would expect in Nalo Town, the atmosphere is VERY mellow. They are happy to help you but won't get up in your face about it. The store is located in the middle of the only shopping center in town, behind the Jack-in-the Box at Kalaniana'ole Hwy and Poalima St. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop. Give yourself plenty of time to browse and enjoy their beautiful products. Open daily 9:00am-5:00pm.Yelp 365 Challenge 225/365

This is a seriously CUTE and overlooked shop. Looks like their big customers are the tour buses that stop for 15 minutes. i mean, I've lived in Waimanalo for 14 years and have never stopped in!!! They might try some marketing unless they're flush with business. Anyway, GO. This is like walking into a shop in the Hawthorne (in Portland) or on Cole Street (San Francisco). COOL STUFF. Not just clothing but bags and cards and gifts and crazy fun cool stuff, much with a Hawaiian theme or made by small cottage Hawaii-based businesses.Bring money :0) you're going to find lots to buy!!!

I walked into this store and was immediately met with hostility. I was wearing a mask and I was no where near another customer in the store. The woman who worked there came at me swiftly and instead of using her words right away, she used her body and hand motions to motion me out. When I was confused she said "we are only allowing 5 customers in at a time and if you could just wait outside". First of all, how was I supposed to know this before walking in? I had just walked in.Second of all, she did not have to get within 6 inches of my face with her face as she opened the door for me to get out. She literally used her body as a wall as if I was trying to barge in. I understand there is fear of covid 19, but to treat me like that was just uncalled for. I'm not sure I have ever been kicked out of a store in that manner ever, literally shown the door. I don't recommend going into this store unless you want to be treated poorly. There are plenty of cute fun stores in Kailua that will treat you with Aloha.

I ordered hula holo holo dresses for my bridesmaids and they were beautiful! I loved how I could custom make the dress, choosing the fabric, designs, and colors. I live in California so did everything via email and Andrea made it very easy. My girls looked amazing and loved the dresses. They mostly did different ties and had a blast getting ready. I also have a hula holo holo dress off the rack and am always amazed at how comfortable yet elegant it is. Highly recommend this dress for hula performances, personal use, and a bridesmaid dress!

This owner was rude. She clapped at us telling that there were to many people in the store. Then claimed we needed to use her hand sanitizer otherwise we couldn't shop. She yelled at my deaf sister to use her hand sanitizer when she didn't hear her the first time. There's no need to be absolutely rude in this day and age when she needs business that we gave to her. I almost wanted to walk out and giver her no service only it was the only sweatshirt I found. Disappointed
