Double Three

This is where you can experience slowly eating an over the top ice cream cone. You have to order the bubble waffle cone. The first time I did it was by a mistake. The waffle cones are individually made and the ice cream is so creamy and delicious! The extra toppings make these cones an wonderful treat. You can almost make a dinner out of an waffle ice cream cone. Just imagine, chocolate bubble waffle cone, chocolate ice cream, two medium sized Reese's peanut butter cups, sprinkles, ultimately topped with chocolate syrup!! I highly recommend this establishment for a delicious dessert.

First of all, WOW! This ice cream is huge!!! And my favorite part. The cone!!! I love that they use a waffle bubble cone. Super good!!! So when you go in, you fill out a paper and choose your flavor of ice cream, toppings and syrup. They all have a little extra you have to pay for some items but some others come with it. I got the marshmallow on pocky sticks and chocolate ice cream with Oreo crumbs. So good!!! You def can share this because it is a lot lol the price is not bad at all either. $11 something but comes with a lot. Poor girl was on her own making everyone's ice cream but she did such an amazing job. The place is very small so it's basically order and go haha which I don't mind at all. Def going back to try more flavors.

Yummy bubble waffles and soft serve! I don't care for getting the set because soggy waffles are kinda gross to me haha so I buy it separately. It's a bit more pricey to get it separately but it is what it is. What I don't care for is that my ice cream cup isn't always consistently filled. Sometimes they fill the cup, and other times it's lacking (like the pic I attached). I also saw that they're soon going to stop doing soft serve and offer scoop ice cream instead. Interested to see how that'll be like. Is it the same ice cream, just frozen and scooped? I hope so! At times, it'll take 20-30 min for my order since all the times I went there was only one worker. Not too bad, but I wouldn't mind if I get what I pay for (fill the cup with ice cream or at least be consistent about it).

I got to try a classic chocolate bubble waffle with a mix of fruity pebbles and pocky sticks! It's a really good place to visit on a hot day, and the size of the cone makes it a good sharing snack with friends! You get to write down your specific combination on a piece of paper I believe and then the worker puts it all together, it's really cool to see!- Miguel Morales Photography

I've been two Double Three at City Square Shopping Center (in Kalihi) twice and I've been extremely happy on both occasions. Double three is located in a small storefront, has no indoor seating, and is a few shops north of Kam Bakery. It should be noted that signage (and common sense) indicate that after you're done placing your order and paying, you should wait outside so others have space to order and pay as well. Now on to the good stuff, the dessert... let's get the obvious out of the way and roughly $14 for a dessert is not inexpensive. But is it worth it? In my opinion, yes it's worthwhile for a "special occasion" or "once in a while" treat. You won't find me here everyday or even every week. The bubble waffle cone comes out warm and very satisfying, the soft serve flavors are great with the texture being just right. The toppings are fresh and delicious, but not overwhelming in terms of quantity. There is a large variety of choices for toppings and cones, but soft serve choices are limited. Also be aware of the fact that you may be in for a wait as each cone takes time, but it shows in the presentation.As previously stated, this is a great special occasion or once in a while treat for both kids and adults. Check it out and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

This ice cream dessert snack was everything I hoped it would be and absolutely perfect after school.The flavors of the day were Kona coffee and birthday cake which are SHOCKINGLY exactly me and my partners favorite flavors!! So we got the flavors of the day. There's so many topping options you can create any number of combinations. You can also just get ice cream if you don't want the bubble waffle but let's be real, you came for the bubble waffle so you better get the bubble waffle!!My little concerns were that the one staff member working there kind of ignored us for a minute. She was in the back of the store doing something. We stood at the front for a minute with our written orders ready before she came to talk to us. And even then she wasn't very friendly... And then my other very minor complaint was that there was no indoor seating. It's hot out here for the summer and eating ice cream outside before it melts all over you is near impossible.Still,I would absolutely come back, I'd just adjust my expectations!! Make a plan for eating in the car or eating QUICKLY. We enjoyed our desserts very much and even managed to run the rest of our desserts home and put them in the freezer for later!

Located in a strip mall where the locals shop, this is a great spot for dessert. They take a bubble waffle and use it as a cone for your ice cream. You can choose the soft serve flavor, add two toppings, and a flavor syrup. It's a large serving and would be advantageous to have a friend to share this dessert.

My son recommended this place so I gave it a try. Yummmy for my tummy! The cone is a battered goodness that pulls off into these bite-sized round pieces. This treat is a light and crispy outside with a soft serve ice cream. You choose your soft serve flavor, two toppings (more toppings extra charge) and your syrup. If you're looking for an ice cream treat, try it. Your sweet tooth will thank you for it. Will I return? Most certainly.

the waffle & ice cream is really good and I give them 5 stars for that. But service needs major improvements. They need more help at night worker is so overwhelmed that they are not paying attention to what the customer is saying.

A hidden gem! It offers different varieties of ice cream flavors, toppings, syrups, etc. The service was okay, but it was because there was people ahead of us, but I didn't mind it at all. It's right next to the Judy Shop, and there's not really that much space inside, so I suggest that you wait outside for your order! They give you a buzzer, and when your order's ready they'll buzz it. Recommend it 100%! Check this place out if you like bubble waffles and ice cream combined! :)
