Domo Cafe

I still enjoy the aburi lover's platter, which is about $60 and has 32 pieces of seared garlic salmon and ahi. I previously ordered two seared salmon bowls (for two people) which is about $35, so if you feel hungry, the platter is the way to go for more bang for your buck!The owner Shucong is also so, so kind and works really hard to make sure his customers have the best and freshest ingredients.

The seared salmon bowl was more than okay - it was a pleasant surprise! The salmon was cooked nicely, with a lovely sear on the outside. While it may not have been the most complex dish, the flavors worked well together.Considering the price point, I'd say it's a solid 4/5 for value. You get a good amount of food for your money, and the quality is decent.

My first visit and I was excited until I took my food home. The rainbow roll was good but the butterfish plate was mushy fish and in my mouth taste kind of like an old fish. See my photo of the butter fish it was mushy not whole. Maybe stick to the sushi.

Go to sushi spot for quick and consistent service. Recently been ordering online and picking up for an even quicker meal. Wish they had a few more roll option and maybe appetizers but over all their quality of fish is great. Interior is clean and has tables to eat there if you wish. Parking can get tight as it's a shared lot with other businesses.

We are so glad that this eatery is near us. This is a great location that is super convenient with adequate free parking. Their menu is pretty impressive with so many tasty options. Their sashimi is fresh and so far, we've enjoyed everything we ordered :)If you plan on calling in your order and picking up, it's very quick and easy. We especially appreciate their fast and friendly service.

First visit here was on 6-20-2024. When you enter the parking lot you see the name Domo Café front and center. Tip: find a parking space to the right because their door opens around the corner. It was pretty surprising to see how busy this restaurant is with many people going in and coming out with their orders in a pretty consistent stream. Once our meal was served I could understand why they are so popular. The food looks so bright and colorful and made with great care and precision- picture perfect.They have refrigerated beverages on the far right corner. Right in front of the cashier they have a low sandwich board listing specials and even fresh fish for sale. They are equipped for handling a party of 20+ if you preorder. The 2 tables on the left are separated by a panel but can be removed to view the door opening and the additional tables on the right.There is a trash receptacle by the door to bus your table when you are done with your meal.If you are a shopper, go to KAHALA mall across the intersection then come here for a meal that will satisfy your senses: sight, taste, smell, touch ... our party was having a good time so I didn't notice if there was any background music but 4 out of 5 senses is awesome, right?Eat in or do take out, you'll be glad to have discovered this Domo Cafe.

Love Domo Cafe!!!It was my first time to Domo's Kahala location, having been to their Chinatown location many times. Domo was able to accommodate my lunch gang. We all had a hard time deciding as there were so many tempting choices on the menu. Luckily you can customize your poke bowl by substituting sushi rice with salad for $3 extra or adding miso soup for $2.You order at the counter - everything is made to order. Food is brought to your table if dining in.I decided on the Cali Hachi poke bowl E8, after contemplating the Seared Salmon E4 and Seared Scallop E9. So glad I did as there were three thick pieces of hamachi. It was delicious!!!My lunch gang totally loved their selections. Didn't take photos as we were busy munching away lol. We can hardly wait to return!

Finally got to try this new sushi place, parking is somewhat difficult if you coming about dinner time to pick up, the strip mall has limited parking ordered two #10 platters, 8 pc spicy ahi bombs, pickled garlic and tsukemono. Sushi was really good and fresh, tsukemono was okay not as fresh as expected). Service is really good they are friendly and ask if you need anything else besides the utensils and wasabi they provide. It's just a take out counter and no seating inside.

Best order at counter sushi/poke bowl place!This place seems to be very popular with a constant flow of customers in line for pickup and takeout orders. We chose to dine in with the limited indoor seating. There are about 5 family size tables to which only one was being used by us. The food came out quickly and did not disappoint. The fish is extremely fresh. I got the A1 bento which came with the ahi poke, edamame, two piece salmon nigiri, miso soup, and sushi rice. My mom got D2 which is the udon and mini salmon poke bowl. The broth of the udon was very clean but tasty. Perfect combo if you are wanting more than just poke. My dad ordered the Domo Special Poke Bowl which was a mixture of Salmon, Ahi, and Hamachi. All the poke was lightly seasoned accompanied by sweet onions which complement the fresh clean flavor of the fish. The ahi poke fish and hamachi poke fish were really good quality where the salmon poke was still good but not as fresh tasting. On the other hand the salmon nigiri was fatty and very good quality!
