Got the dole whip with the pineapples! Yummy taste and pineapples were fresh and perfectly sweet. The store has everything you need all pineapple related! Definitely plenty of places to take photos and embrace the pineapples.

We have been to the Dole Plantation once before over 15 years ago and on this last visit we only came back because we now have kid and figured it would be nice to visit again with our son in tote. The place has definitely changed since our last visit as this time it felt like there were many more visitors and a bit more crowded. We did all 3 activities. It is a bit pricey, but that is expected when you come to a touristy place like this. I highly recommend you get there early in the morning. This will give you the best chance for finding parking and having a minimal wait for the pineapple express train. We waited about 30 minutes for the train but as the day progressed, that line got very long. They do a nice photo opportunity while you are in line. The train ride itself is fun. The plants did not seem as lush and green as the first time we had come, so I assume this is attributed to the season and climate change. We visited the garden which is greaty for photo ops and also the maze. The gift shop had some nice souvenirs to take home.Overall we were there for about 2 .5 hours. My son enjoyed it, but I think this is a place where you visit once and then done. It is pricey and the souvenir photos are even a bit overpriced but it is what it is. You pay for the memory I guess. Overall a fun day and good to visit once if you have time.

The train ride was unimpressive. The garden was the same, especially given some other options on island. The cafe was a well informed stop before getting stuck in weekend traffic. The Dole whip was amazing, especially with the fresh pineapple chucks. The bulgogi bowl was much bigger than I expected. The burgers were a disappointment for the adolescents.

The dole whip we got from the store here was very good. Solid 5 out of 5 for the dole whip. I almost got a second one. Why the 3 stars then? The candies (dried fruit and sour gummies) we bought were all disappointing. Still a nice stop-by point if it's on the way, but I'm not sure if it's worth coming out just for this....we didn't do the tours though.

I tried the chocolate dipped cone, and it was so good! The fries were good and crispy. The establishment seems to be kept clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Definitely a tourist trap, but we still had lots of fun. When we were there on the week day, it wasn't that busy and there were open parking spots. It was a sunny day so bring your hats and Voss water.Lots of stuff to explore. We were there for like a hour. There's a big maze and a train tour around the whole area to see the pineapple farm. We bought the original dole whip pineapple ice cream. Tastes way better here in Hawaii than back at home for some strange reason lol. Definitely recommend getting the pineapple products. We got some stuff for souvenirs too for the fam and kin.

Definitely a tourist trap, but still great to visit at least once nonetheless.Been here about 3 times, pineapple fro-yo is a must. They don't have the pineapples smothering the frozen yogurt like they used to, but it's still better than California Disneyland. Pineapples are slightly sweeter in Hawaii but not overly too much. Gifts are cool here too. We haven't gone on the train tour but there's plenty of picture spots to take.Overall, nothing super special about this place but like I said, it's great to visit just once in a lifetime. But I normally wouldn't come back here if visiting the island.

We've made it Dole Plantation two, maybe three times. It's a great place to stop on your travels between Honolulu and the North Shore. Though we wouldn't call it a bucket list experience or make it a destination in and of itself. Dole Plantation is a great place to visit if you want some great tasting pineapple-anything. We usually get the ice cream, but it is so packed with sugar we can only do about 2-3 bites. But, yowza are those bites good. As you would guess, they also carry a lot of pineapple themed trinkets and souvenirs to buy and take home. It's a historic pineapple plantation that's now open to the public. Would recommend you do an hunt and find on the web to get an understanding of the history and what that means to the island. This is a "must-stop" for most tour operators so it's usually busy with hundreds of tourists ranging in age from newborns to near the end and offers a handful of activities suitable for all.We have not taken part in any of the following, but they are available: Train ride around the plantation (this is a miniature train like you see at amusement parks.) Pineapple Garden MazeDole Plantation Factory tourParking which is plentiful and close is free. It's also free to hang out and shop. The activities and of course food and drink cost. The marketing says you can spend a day there and with the activities maybe so. We had our fill of the pineapple experience after about an hour. It's the classic definition of a tourist attraction.

Free to park. Free to explore. You do have to pay for activities. But stopping by for lunch or a sweet treat is great. They do offer military discounts too. If you do the train ride i suggest putting the kids inwards rather than on your lap because i got smacked two times by a branch and a bush during the journey. But it is a beautiful tour around the plantation, and i highly suggest splurging for it. love that the staff feeds the strays that wander around property. It's the sweetest.

This was my second visit to the Dole Plantation in 10 years. I ordered the Dole Whip with crushed pineapple and li hing mui powder. The sweet, creamy pineapple soft serve paired perfectly with the tart, slightly salty li hing mui powder was great. If you haven't tried this topping, it's a must. The atmosphere was lively and fun, with a mix of tourists and locals. The Plantation Express truck was busy, but the service was friendly and efficient so i didnt go inside for the soft serve which is optional. Despite the long line, my order was prepared quickly, and the staff made sure everything was just right. If you're visiting Oahu, make sure to stop here for a cool, refreshing treat!
