DJ Neekz

I love Dom!!!!! He was amazing!!! Best DJ in Oahu I would say. Definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a professional DJ, emcee, and/or special effects! I had the privilege of having Dom for our wedding. He did our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and reception and emcee'd the whole night. Dom was super easy to work with as he was incredibly nice and funny. He made sure that we had enough cold sparks and fog for grand entrance, first dance, and father/daughter dance. He even surprised us by saving some cold sparks when everyone got onto the dance floor after all the reception events were finished. Dom even graciously helped us hook up our projector to the hotel's screen and ensured the audio was all working. He really went above and beyond for us and I couldn't be more grateful. We were definitely lucky to have him for our wedding :)

This is a long overdue review, but DJ Neekz provided the BEST vibes for our wedding! We were referred to him through Aloha Bridal Connections (ABC weddings) and my husband and I have not stopped recommending him to our friends since our own wedding day. We met him once before officially hiring him and immediately into the meeting, we knew this was the DJ for the wedding. All we did was provide a genre of music that we wanted for cocktail hour, dinner and open dancing, and he amplified the atmosphere. He was very attentive to our song requests and went above and beyond with songs of his choice. Due to the pandemic, we downsized our original plans into a small celebration with immediate family and close friends. Our close friends LOVE a good time and DJ Neekz understood the assignment with a perfect combination of favorite hits from the 2000's (we're 90's babies) to current local, country and pop hits. I don't think any of our guests sat down once we opened the dance floor. It was such an amazing time. If you are still in search of a DJ, look no further. Highly recommend DJ Neekz!

What could we say? DJ Neekz is the best of the best!We hired Dominic for our wedding at the Hale Koa on 10/6/19 and he didn't disappoint. We met him a while back and were impressed with his work, his friendly demeanor and everything he does to stay relevant in the DJ scene. When it came time to book an MC/DJ for our wedding, we knew Dom was "The one!" LOLWorking with Dominic was awesome. In addition to working with us on our song selection and program, he recommended uplighting and a custom monogram to project on the wall in our reception hall. I didn't believe all the bells and whistles would make that big of a difference at first, but when I saw it come to life on our wedding day, it was truly spectacular. Our reception hall look exceptionally classy and elegant and was the perfect backdrop for our party.What's more is that DJ Neekz just got approved at the Hale Koa to use cold sparks - so we had pyrotechnics at our reception! I have to say, this really pushed our reception over the top. ALL of our guests raved about how ours was the best wedding they ever attended. They were so impressed by the cold sparks going off during our grand entrance, first dance and open dancing. It made for fantastic pictures and kept the energy level up high.We also received lots of compliments on our song selection. After giving Dominic a few artists and genres we liked, he totally delivered with a playlist that our co-workers and friends are still complimenting us on! Dominic really listens to your likes/dislikes and has the professional ability to "read your mind" and play the music you love during the best day of your life.He did a great job MC'ing and following the script/keeping the program going. Ours was a day-time wedding and we had a lot to fit in in a short amount of time. He was able to stay on the timeline without making anyone feel rushed or hurried. Everything worked out seamlessly.Dominic is a professional who clearly loves what he does. He goes the extra mile and beyond to ensure your special day will be meaningful. There will be moments that will delight and surprise you and that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Hire DJ Neekz and make those memories! DJ Neekz was friggin awesome. I attended a wedding where he was playing. He had a crazy assortment of toys like the cold sparks, great lighting, can really read a crowd and interact with all the attendee of the wedding. Really got everyone out on the floor dancing. It's so Important to have a great DJ for an event like this. There's many cues and transitions during the ceremony. Technical considerations microphones, placement and timing. He was like a conductor in front of a festive orchestra setting the tone for every situation with different lighting schemes, effects and sound tracks. Beside doing private events I've seen him down town playing at a few different venues. I come NYC during the height of the mega clubs but I haven't seen anyone else energize the crowd on a weekend like him. Highly recommended. Check him out for a private event or just a Saturday night date!

Dominique was so great to work with! I'm very bad with picking music and wasn't set on what I wanted to do for my wedding day, but he was able to provide recommendations or advice to my questions. He was super accommodating to any requests I had and my guests had nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend Dominique for your wedding day, you won't be disappointed!

This is a long long overdue review... but we hired DJ Neekz for our wedding in 2016. He was the best! For whatever reason, we were behind in wedding planning and first reached out to Dominic 4 weeks before our event. We really lucked out, he was one of our favorite vendors. He was professional, thorough, and did everything he could to help us with the music & sound to make our day great and reflective of our taste and personalities. Beyond that, our wedding was on a crazy weekend with 2 hurricanes headed to the island. We got married at Kualoa Ranch, and had to change venues the morning of because of rain. Dominic was so helpful and came through with everything we needed (especially a generator to power speakers for our ceremony). If you are hiring, this is who you want!

DJ Neekz is awesome! Planning my wedding in HI while living in CA was a bit difficult but Dom helped make it less stressful. Initially, we hired him for reception only but last minute change (2 days before, lol) before the wedding we added ceremony music as well. And he was so nice and flexible about it! He really never gave us grief and was always understanding. We communicated mainly via email and he would always respond within a day or so. On the day of my wedding, everything went off without any issues. Dom and JuJu kept the party lit! It was so much fun and he played all the songs we requested. Thanks Dom for making our wedding day that much more special. Wish I could do this every year. HAHAHA!

It was wonderful to work with DJ Neekz! He did a great job as an MC and DJ for our wedding reception. In the lead up to the event, he was super responsive and helpful in managing our song list and schedule. He helped organize our monogram, and even edited his service package to adapt to our requests. At the event, he created a great environment, starting in cocktail hour and carrying it through to the end of the reception. He stuck to our playlist, and even added a few songs that we loved, but had forgotten to add ourselves. DJ Neekz is kind and fun, and we would absolutely work with him again in the future.

DJ Neekz is the best! We had him as our DJ and MC at our wedding at Kualoa Ranch and he did such a wonderful job bringing the energy and getting everyone up and dancing. He was very receptive to the vibe we wanted and tailored his set to the energy of the guests. Very easy to work with, an absolute professional, and our guests had nothing but the best to say about him. All of our guests were up and dancing - the vibes were so good that none of our guests left on the early shuttle. Highly recommend DJ Neekz!

Dj Neekz, Dom, was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.We hired him for our wedding at Cafe Julia this past July and there are so many things I'd like to call out.To start, he was entirely respectful of our music tastes and found a way to build on them in the best way. We sent very specific vibes of music for each part of the night (cocktail hour, dinner, reception) and he followed them so well. During the reception the crowd went through a couple different moods of house and hip hop and he took requests like a champ. We'd just tell him the type of vibe and he executed to perfection.Don't sleep on uplighting. If your venue is darker and/or you don't like the house lights at the venue, you want DJ Neekz. The system he comes with is amazing, you can pick whatever colors you want and they can even change and strobe with the music!!! So cool, totally gave our reception a club look. This also allows your venue to come alive in a way you may not have previously thought. We knew we needed this at Cafe Julia, since it's a little darker at night. It felt natural and inviting.Cold sparks. At first, we didn't want these as we thought it might be cheesy but everyone loved them. We used them for our grand entrance and whenever that BEAT DROPPED. It was so fun and he even gave me the remote for them later on in the night (too late probably) which made for some good laughs. Can't wait to see the photos with these going off.Communication was great. He likes to keep everything through his business platform (HoneyBook) but always got back to us from 1-5 days. Always super thorough and answered all our questions.He created an atmosphere where our guests never left the dance floor from the first moment. If you want a PARTY, he's your guy. If you know your guests like to dance and have a good time, he's your guy.Going with DJ Neekz will be one of the best decisions you make for your event.
