Right off the busy Nimitz Highway, This Disabled American Veterans HQR's is also a place of beauty, solitude and energizing fun if you want to play baseball, basketball or kick a soccer ball around on the field in back.The grounds are well taken care of, nice shady spots to relax. The only downside is the constant noise of traffic and the arriving and departing aircraft from HNL International Airport.The center piece Memorial "OBELISK""IN MEMORY OF OUR COMRADES WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR OUR COUNTRY"Is a very powerful silent tribute to our fallen.The garden areas have gazebos to hide from the sun and there is even a covered grilling area with picnic tables. Open to the public, this is a nice place to enjoy our great outdoors and remember those that defended our freedom. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!
