DDJ Hawaii is located in the corner of Hotel and Maunakea Street, right across the police station (downtown). I have patronized this business a few times but on this last visit a few days ago I was disturbed at the lady, maybe owner for being so "rude", "enraged" with her customer service style. This business does have some nice things, as I just so happened passing by, looking at the lai see - year of share and snake gems. But sheesh, this lady! No skills in customer service.

Shopping in Honolulu Chinatown...Many years ago, my father's cousin's daughter (from San Diego) wanted to purchase a jade bangle. I brought her to DDJ Hawaii (located on the corner of Hotel Street and Maunakea Street) where she was offered many choices and found a bracelet that she really liked!Over the years, I've stopped by for gifts such as Chinese zodiac keychains, lucky red envelopes, and more.This time, I saw cute Year of the Rabbit envelopes. When I started to look at the jade rabbit lucky charms, I was asked if I needed help. Sue was the friendly, helpful employee. I told Sue that I wanted to get some party favors. She invited me into the shop and brought out a whole box of jade Rabbit charms! She encouraged me to get more than I thought that I needed since I was there. She was right! I later gave one to my mom for Hinamatsuri (Girls'Day). If you need some gifts, jewelry advice, or lucky charms, DDJ Hawaii has a lot of inventory! Sue is a good person to assist you - ask for her!

They have a vast selection of everything! :D Jade (from Burma/ Myanmar), crystals (tiger's eye, rose quartz, lapis lazuli, aquamarine, garnet, citrine, super 7, moonstone, quartz, fluorite), pearls, different karats of gold, silver and more. Earrings, rings, bangles, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, figurines, and more. They also sell good luck charms you can decorate your house with.The selection of jade items is immense. Price points for items range from quite affordable pieces to super perfect quality items. For jade pendants alone they have Pi/ Bi/ Donuts, Buddhas, Guan Yins and many more different shapes. That come with bails or without bails. And in different sizes and designs. The jade bangles they have here are beautiful! They have many sizes from children's, adult size 6 and even 12+. Talk about inclusive. All sales are final, no exchanges. So make sure you 100% adore what you buy.I was interested in getting a jade bangle forever... but I had the hardest time finding one that was genuine, affordable and a great fit. I'm super happy to have found this place. The sales lady here is super knowledgeable and friendly! She has a very keen eye for helping you to find the perfect items :) This is a definite skill! Lots of experience and is able to explain things about the jewelry in an easy to understand way. Great sense of humor, she also made my mom laugh LOL, which is kinda difficult. Best place to get my gems for Chinese New Year! They have a ton of choices and they have a ton of items all priced at different levels. The ladies are very kind and friendly and they will help you. I got a few items, spent a little money, and will be blessed for 2023!'

Came in to look for a Jade piece for my daughter, the gentleman who helped us was great, the selection was outstanding, so many beautiful pieces. The value for your money will leave you feeling very happy.. little tip, pay with cash!! Will definitely return for myself.

My husband bought me a jade bracelet from here. The lady was super and very helpful. We visited 4 other jade jewelry shops that didn't have anything i liked in my size (6.25). Will definitely be back.

Came here looking for a jade ox figurine and found exactly that. The figurines were small -- they can fit in the palm of your had -- but it was just what we were looking for. They're located on a corner, right by the police station office actually lol. Metered parking out front.
