Dave's Ice Cream At The Ilikai

Hawaiian Mud Pie!We stayed at Ilikai condo rentals for our '25 Hawaii vacation. And every time we come back to the property (usually after a hearty meal), me and my kids always look forward hanging out at the ground floor and savoring Dave's delectable ice cream. I vaguely reckon having this treat when we were here at Ilikai in 2013, but now I can fully confirm that Dave's Ice Cream is definitely the bomb. Hawaiian Mud Pie is a perfect night cap after a day's exploring. It has a hint of coffee that satisfies one's itch, and then combines a wonderful flavor of chocolate and the rest which shamefully I forgot. All I know too well though, is that I long Hawaiian Mud Pie and almost always stop by before we go up to our room.

One of my favorite spots to walk to in the city. A bit hard to find I'll admit. Just walk up and into Ilikai and down the shopping plaza hall, it'll be located on your right toward the harbor.Lots of flavor and topping options, with the option to taste test. On my first visit I was provided three recommendations to taste test by a worker.My favorite flavors tried thus far are the Hawaiian Mud Pie and the Coffee Fudge. Loved getting the double scoop sundae because the pecan toppings were admittedly on the more pralined sugared kind, and the amount of toppings provided were a nice surprise.Typically because it's so close to the harbor, you're welcome to sit in their plentiful seating area outside! Or take a stroll to toward the harbor and you'll find relaxing seats overlooking the harbor itself.

During my stay at the Ilikai Hotel, the front desk provided me with two vouchers for complimentary single-scoop small ice creams at Dave's Ice Cream, conveniently located right behind the lobby elevators.The shop offers a variety of flavors, from classics like vanilla and chocolate to Hawaiian-inspired options such as melon mochi, ube, haupia, and lychee. I tried the melon mochi ice cream and lychee sherbet--both were delicious.With friendly staff and tasty treats, having this spot on-site was a delightful bonus.

Over the summer, my family and I stayed at the Ilikai and one of our "musts" while staying there, is getting a cool, sweet treat from Dave's Ice Cream near the lobby area. Dave's has a wide variety of flavors that no matter which one you pick, they're all pretty darn good. A few of our favorites are guava sorbet, honeydew Mochi, Ube, Blueberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Macadamia and Mango Sorbet. With your cool desserts, you can have them served in a waffle cone, waffle bowl or just the paper bowl if you'd like! You can even have a sundae made with a wide variety of toppings or even have a banana split made! The ice cream shop is a bit small but there are several tables on the outside where you can enjoy. Everyone that works there is nice, helpful, and speedy at what they do. Not sure what you want? You can even have a small spoon sample to help you figure out what you'd like to get. The ice cream is tasty, creamy, and a nice treat to splurge on. Two thumbs up for Dave's!

Military Monday discount. this is a little store located in the Ilikai hotelThis is a chain ice cream shop. They also sell this brand at groceries.

Delicious Ice Cream- We were vacationing in Waikiki and we were told we had to try their ice cream! Valerie the owner happened to be working our first time in- she was so sweet, welcoming and eager to have you sample whatever flavors you were intrigued by! We loved the pineapple, guava and so many others! We were given a frequent treat card and in the 9 days we were there Every Day. We earned a FREE scoop with it!! Fabulous place, owner and Ice Cream!!

The ice cream here is good, the service was very good. The workers here are very friendly and they have Military Monday. I like when a business supports our military. This shop is small but clean. Definitely coming by here again.

A must dessert stop during each trip! Dave's is conveniently located downstairs at the Ilikai, in a larger location compared to where they were a few years ago. There is usually a line (that's how good their ice cream is!) but it moves fairly quickly. You're warmly welcomed by the staff when you enter the store, the large list of flavors is posted clearly on the wall (or above each container). The first visit I ordered Caramel Macadamia & Kona Coffee, the second time was Caramel Macadamia & Chocolate Macadamia. In the past I've also had Ube, Green Tea, Hawaiian Mud Pie.All flavors were delicious and creamy, can't wait to go back!

Had dinner not too far from the Ilikai and decided to hit up Dave's ice cream for dessert. Didn't realize they relocated to a different area in the hotel but it's definitely a larger space now! They have lots of yummy flavors to choose from, but I always gravitate to the blueberry cheesecake.
