We didn't take any pictures because we ate the ramen up right away. Ordered through Uber Eats to Waikiki hotel and it was packaged smartly and HOT when it arrived. Would do take out here again.

Ordered to go and very subpar experience. Noodles are congealed. One small, sad piece of meat. It's a step above "cup of noodles" quality. The pork stir fry similarly lacks meat and the curry side dish is also no meat and just soup on top of rice. Ramen Ya in Hawaii Kai is much better and cheaper. The base (miso) was not rich. Ramen Ya

Daiichi Ramen lives up to its reputation as a family-owned restaurant committed to changing the way people eat noodles. It's the ideal venue for noodle lovers of different flavor palettes. Impressively, Daiichi Kahala's menu features a wide range of ramen flavors that are typically available across several different restaurants. You can get them in one spot! The miso ramen works well with extra garnishing from butter and corn. Save yourself the trouble of going to Hokkaidō and just throw it back to this favorite at Daiichi. The home brewed tea is sweet and similar to boba shop style tea. It's the perfect complement to a salty bowl of noodles, especially if it's hot outside. Feeling fancy? You can order the Unagi Bowl for an extra, extra treat yourself day. The service is friendly and attentive. You get the family-owned and operated feeling by how in-sync the team is in serving its guests. Parking is available in the private lot for this strip mall. The place fills up quickly, so you might find yourself circling. Do yourself a favor and preview the menu beforehand so you can mull over your choice of noodles as you find the perfect parking spot.

An easy and straightforward small restaurant. New menu. Better portions. True to taste if you want mild or hot spice levels. Service quick and to the point. Clean labelled condiments in the table. Lots of parking. The new menu of unagi on rice was spectacular. It comes with a larger than small size salad with a most delicious mango type dressing. Really yummy! Mr Bland had the filling shrimp ramen filled with hefty shrimps and good broth. He exclaimed, now, this will be one of our go-to easy going restaurants.Do a Yelp check-in while there, too!

Located in the Ku'ono Marketplace in Kahala near Kahala Market, Lanikai Juice, Wholesale unlimited, lots of parking but sometimes the center can get busy due to so many stores and the urgent care nearby. Food is really good for fast ramen lunch/dinner. Love the fried rice and gyoza! Black garlic ramen is one of the favorites also the chicken Katsu or mochiko chicken curry. The servings are large even for the set mini ramen seems to have a lot of noodles for a mini! There's a bathroom located near the back of the restaurant near the kitchen and it is soooo clean! Very impressed with how clean the bathroom and restaurant is! Even the baby high chairs were really really clean! They have a lot of condiments on the side to add to your dishes, shoyu, vinegar, chili oil, crunchy garlic, togarashi peppers.Food always comes out fast and service is great and fast! Don't forget to check into yelp for 15% off your bill one of the best yelp check in deals on Oahu!!! Thank you for the awesome yelp deals!

Daiichi Ramen is a family-owned restaurant that has been around since '99. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering soups, salads, ramen, udon, cold noodles, curry rice, fried rice, plates, combos, teishoku sets, and even kid options.I ordered a to-go order of the following:+Special Combo with 2 Sides - you can choose between a ramen or a udon, in which I opted for the ramen; for the soup base, I went with the Spicy Tonkotsu, asking for extra extra extra spicy; for the sides, I chose the Gyoza (which came with 4 pieces) and the Mini Pork Fried Rice+Kimchee Fried Rice - this was served with a side of miso soupThe ramen noodles were packaged separated from the ramen broth; the broth itself was creamy and super spicy, which was just as requested! Both the fried rice were of generous sizes, considering the Pork Fried Rice was considered a 'mini'; the Kimchee Fried Rice was pretty ridiculous in terms of the amount, and one could split this into 2-3 meals, easily! The gyoza were pan-fried well, which I was slightly worried about, as previous pictures of this item seemed to not look as crispy.Ordering the items were a breeze.Definitely a good spot if you are feeling under the weather and in need of a good broth or have a fried rice craving.+great combo deals+generous portions+seamless online ordering system

Ample parking but it can get busy. Same shopping center as Foodland Farms. Service is about average. Food wise, the Chicken Katsu plate is huge. One of the best plates on the island in my book.

I ran in and grabbed dinner as the hubby ate at Capriotti's. Both eateries are located at the New Ku'ono Marketplace in Kahala. To my surprise there was actually a waitlist and people were lounging in the wait area. I maneuvered around people to order my takeout. I got the Ramen Black Garlic Special Combo No.2 with four piece gyoza and calamari $17.25.Everything was good. The char siu was tender with bits of fat in it. The broth was nicely seasoned even though it could have used more of the black garlic oil. The gyoza was stuffed with pork and veggie filling. The calamari rings were fried to a perfect crisp. They both paired well with their respective sauces that were put in my takeout bag, which I appreciate. They were busy, but the wait wasn't that long. I waited about 10-15 minutes for the food before I was out of there.

I had this place bookmarked after seeing my Yelp buddy - Bruddah Brian M. write an awesome review about this place called - Daiichi Ramen in the Kahala neighborhood.I'll be honest, I'm not really a ramen eater and rarely eat ramen unless its on a cold day in da 808, but what I do like is Japanese curry, and Daiichi Ramen does do curry.Located at the Ku'ono Marketplace, you can find Daiichi Ramen just next door to the Lanikai Juice shop. The restaurant is well lighted, clean, and the restaurant itself has sorta of an "L" shape configuration, not a large sized restaurant, but not small either. We didn't have to make reservations to come here to dine, but I would recommend coming here early if you don't want to fight for parking in the Ku'ono Marketplace parking lot.As I entered the restaurant, we were greeted right away & got a table instantly. Menus and water were dropped after we were seated and after looking over the menu, I decided to get the Mochiko Chicken Curry on Rice.My homie ended up getting the Mapo Tofu on Fried Noodles. What can I say about the grub?I would say that my Mochiko Chicken Curry was pretty good, generous portions, but I wished they offered different levels of spiciness like the other curry places I've been to in the past.As for my homie, he said that his Mapo Tofu on Fried Noodles was good too.Nothing like local style comfort food, and the prices here were pretty reasonable and on point. Now if you're not into curry like me, Daiichi Ramen does offer salads, soups, fried rice & noodle dishes, and of course ramen & udon options.

Welcome addition to Kahala. Located next to Kahala Mkt on Waialae Ave. Private lot. Even if the lot is full, be patient. A stall will open up quickly. People that patronize the other businesses in the complex don't stay long. Do some marketing, pick up takeout orders, so there's not much of a wait to park, plus, there are curbside pick up designated stalls that are usually open. Onto the food.Mabo tofu on rice w/ 6pc gyoza add on, Beef curry rice w/ 6pc gyoza add on, and kimchee fried rice. The gyoza is my all time favorite. The wrapper is soft and light, not thick and chewy. The filling is pork, I think. Also very light with an essence of ginger and green onion. The little morsels are panfried to perfection. I'm drooling just thinking about it! The mabo tofu order is monstrous, if you eat in, and a pretty good portion of you order takeout. It is spicy, so diner beware. (My mom is full blooded yobo and even SHE say's it's spicy!)The beef curry is Japanese style. I could do without the pieces of meat. They tend to be the junkier cuts of beef so they're pretty tough. I usually just check 'em, since so keep forgetting to tell them no beef please. Potatoes and carrots are good.Everything is sooooo good, but my definite go to gyoza restaurant! I'll make the drive to Kahala, sure!
