Dada Chicken

Yum! I love the spicy Korean chicken flavor. I first tasted this during a Yelp Elite tasting event and had to come back and get another batch. This is located in a food court on the second level floor above Hmart in Kakaako.They provide you with clear plastic gloves so you can enjoy the chicken without messing up your fingers.

Daddy's chicken or that song, Da da da... ? I'm not sure what Dada means. This place is located inside H Mart, on the second floor. We wanted to try their wings but they were out so we settled for boneless regular fried chicken and soy garlic and some fries. The wait was about 20 minutes which is a good sign for making them fresh for you.No expectation is always a good rule of thumb sometimes. I was pretty satisfied with this fried chicken. Not too greasy but perfect pairing with some draft beer from Let Them Talk next door. I had some leftovers and it still tasted good the next day for lunch. So now I have to try their wings and drumsticks next time perhaps the Pearl City location.

First time here! I ordered the fried rice cakes sweet and spicy. Annyeong, annyeong, annyeong haseyo. Yeoboseyo. Hello, hello, hello. Hello. Sweet, spicy and savory. My tastebuds are on a Korean rollercoaster ride! LOL. Today, I had KFC. Yup, Korean Fried Chicken from Dada Chicken. Round 2 at H-Mart in Kakaako. You really can't go wrong going to this supermarket because it's a one stop shop for groceries, a nice meal and a yummy dessert! If you don't get me, just go and add it to your next supermarket errand. I ordered sweet and spicy chicken with spicy tteokbokki. Each bite of the sweet and spicy chicken was bursting in flavors. Then a bite of the spicy, chewy tteokbokki feels like you're under a fiery spell of so much flavors dancing in your mouth. Yup! That's exactly what I was feeling as I was enjoying each bite! This would be so good with a good beer! And, maybe some soju?! Maybe next time ;) My only wish is that the server/cashier would be a little more attentive...the place is crowded with hungry and happy food lovers. One of my go to places when I'm at Hmart! All of their chicken flavors are great- my favorites are honey garlic and soy garlic chicken. Its well seasoned, and soooo flavorful. They always come out fresh- hot n crispy.Parking is validated after 1hr otherwise it is free. The only reason i gave 4/5 is the pricing, it seems a little overpriced. Also I know it can be slow sometimes but I often see the staff on their phone/headphones in even with customers around

Good option for fried chicken at the H mart food court if you happen to be at H mart around meal time. I wouldn't make a special trip here for the chicken, though.

Expensive and not what i expected. The boneless chicken had a lot of fat and no flavor. The soy garlic sauce was just okay. I expected the sauce to come on the chicken yet they give it to you on the side in a small container. I did not care for their so called salad, didn't look appealing. From a plate that cost over $16, all I ate was the steamed rice which I could have gotten cheaper somewhere else.

You can't go wrong with Korean fried chicken! I hope this is not a fad but a staple that will stick around because this new KFC beats the KFC that we've always known (since KFC stops carrying hot wings). I love Dada Chicken because their wings are hot, crispy with a flavorful batter, meat that juicy and not bland, and most of all, they give out all flats! (Personally not a fan of the drum part.)I easily can eat all 10 pieces myself. I've tried their mayo and soy garlic, and they're both scrumptious. I never knew about this place until the food court hosted an event for the Yelp elites. Ever since that evening, it's always been on my mind to come back and get a full order of the wings, which was what I did today. :-PConveniently located in the H Mart food court in the 2nd floor, but it sucks that they don't validate parking which is very weird. I hope they start doing that to encourage more people to enjoy the food and drinks here.

I have no idea where the name came from. The cashier told me that in Chinese characters in means an abundance of chicken. OK, sounds good to me. I purchased a 20 piece traditional wings. I couldn't decide between the soy garlic or honey garlic. The cashier explained that the honey garlic is more of a dry rub and the soy garlic is more sauced. Well, I'm a sauce person, so I went with the soy garlic. The wings were terrific. It was crispy and the inside was juicy. The sauce had a nice balance to it. It was soy, but wasn't overly salty. I could taste the sweetness in it, kind of like a light teriyaki. I've also tried their mayo wings and that's delicious as well.

I love Korean fried chicken but I was the only person in my group that had it. I purchased one plate to share with the family. After one wing they quickly went back to order more to eat and then some to go for later. The service was good. The staff were friendly and the food came out piping hot. This location is on the second floor of the HMart amongst several other eateries in the food court. After you order and pay, you are given a ticket with a number. You can go sit with your party and wait for your number to be called over a PA system that announces the restaurant name and ticket number. Public Bathrooms in their area require a code (5678) that someone from another restaurant was kind enough to share with us. I wouldDefinitely go back and enjoy additional flavors of chicken. Ain't nothin but chicken wing!
