This food truck was at an event that I attended in Mililani. It was 1 out of 4 trucks that were serving food. The line was pretty long but we wanted some pastele so we decided to get some food there.The workers were very friendly and portrayed Aloha! Loved that! There were several people inside getting plates together and one guy at the back of the truck at the BBQ cooking the food on the grill.We ordered:1. Kalua Pig Nachos 2. BBQ Chicken & Pastele Combo with Gandule Rice3. Pork Belly & Pastele Combo with Gandule Rice4. BBQ Chicken PlateThe food was okay. The chicken, rice and mac sald was a little bland but we were hungry so we ate some of it but did not finish it. I was hoping it was better that it was. It also took them a little while to get us our food. It could have been that they were very busy and short staffed as I saw another employee arrive while we were ordering. I am willing to try it again as the do have potential in the food and their menu sounded really good.

Steak Plate was well seasoned, tender and cooked perfect for my tastes. Pork belly was essentially deep fried extra thick cut bacon with an aioli sauce. Definitely a winner for me. It was crispy and tender at the same time, if that makes any sense.

It was okay. Tried it on a whim cause I was there and was hungry. Let's just say it filled my hunger.

This is my all time favorite food truck. Been grinding with them when they was orange. My all time favorite. The pork belly hamma, rib eye hamma. Been all over the world army eating any kine and these buleis my favorite. And portions are huge and they no chang em. Prices is solid. Food so good I feel like I ripping them off. Koa says hamma status!

You must have the pork belly!Today I ran across this truck when I was walking through the Ala Moana Night Market. I decided to order the pastele plate which comes with your choice of rib eye, Korean chicken, or pork belly. I asked the friendly person taking orders how is it prepared? They boil it then marinate for three days! It's a family recipe, she said. Sold.This pork belly. It's beautiful. The most delicious pork belly ever. Tender meat, juicy and soft fatty bits... they grill it so it has crispy charred parts that balance the flavorful goodness of pork belly. I've had pastele only a few times so I can't give the best review on that and the gandule rice, but both were flavorful. Not salty flavorful, but actual seasoning and thoughtfulness. The plate is also served with mac salad or tossed greens, and you can have Kim chee and pickled onions. I got Mac salad and onions to go with my pork belly. So pleasantly surprised to have those onions. Another degree of thoughtfulness with this food.I hope to see you guys again!
