We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival - which was nice. It's a food court, so it shares seating with a sushi place. Food was delicious, and the pasta was very very well made. I got a pretty plate, which made me happy, and that they have vegan gelato is really awesome.

Cucina Moon is a new place to check out in the McCully Shopping center upstairs. The layout is. A little funky in a food court type of setting. But if you are looking for solid pasta in Hawaii, this is a great and affordable option. Each pasta dish is $18-25, and pairs great with the gelato at the end. I got the garlic shrimp pasta, and it was very solid. Check it out if you are in for a casual pasta dinner in Honolulu.

This is a late review since I ate here a few months ago. This place is located in the test kitchen area in McCully Shopping Center. My friend and I wanted to try this place out for dinner and it was surprisingly pretty good! I got the bolognese spaghetti and she got the gnocchi with basil pesto sauce. We also shared a Margherita pizza. Both of our pasta dishes were delicious! I loved how they were both cheesy and the pasta was fresh with a great texture. The bolognese sauce had a lot of meat too which made it filling. They put the right amount of sauce to coat the pasta. The pizza was just ok, nothing special. Overall, it is a nice casual place to enjoy some Italian food. You go up to the counter and order and then they bring your food to you. I wouldn't mind coming here again to try their other dishes!

I was a little confused about the set-up since it's also shared with a poke place right next door. However, I ordered their Bolognse Gnocchi + Foccaia and both tasted great. The portions are a pretty good size. I would say though it's a little more on the pricier side.

It's fantastic pasta without the useless fanfare. Cucina is everything one could hope for and more. If making fresh in-house pasta is all it takes, everyone would do it. There's a combination of excellence, consistency and simplicity.I'm not sure if that makes sense, but it's what I tasted.BB

We went for the first time this month and it's definitely an interesting location! It's on the second floor of Mccully shopping center but it kinda looks like a food court. Regardless, we loved the food. It was nice to be able to pick the toppings and my fiancé really enjoyed the yakisoba. The noodles are thick and chewy, you can't the freshness! We will definitely be back.

Tucked away on the second floor of a bustling plaza is this hidden gem. The sign is tiny so it's also easy to miss, but this place is a must when visiting Waikiki. There is a parking lot in front and I believe a lower level garage accessible from the side street. I read glowing reviews about the pasta so we were so excited to try Cucina Moon. We visited on a Thursday around 5:40pm and while the restaurant was empty, they must have had a lot of reservations because the lady apologetically asked us if we minded sitting at the counter - which we were happy to do! All of the pastas looked delicious, but we decided on the shrimp garlic cream tomato pasta based on the lady's recommendation. We also ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and two slices of their homemade garlic bread. The pasta: my god. Cooked perfectly al dente and the cream a perfect balance of garlic and tomato cream, this is probably the best pasta I've ever had. No notes. 10/10. Bbq chicken pizza: the chicken was moist, tender, and the bbq sauce had a nice tang to it. I appreciated the crust was thin and crispy (and retained its crispness to the last slice!). It's on the smaller end but the price reflects that. ($15 for a personal sized pizza)Garlic bread: lots of minced garlic on top of soft and slightly toasted bread. YUM. The two ladies working were also super attentive and seemed genuinely happy to hear we enjoyed our food. Since we sat at the counter, we also got a glimpse into the cooking process which was very cool! This will be the top of list to come back to on my next trip to Oahu. Can't wait to return and try their other menu items!

All right so this is a small spot and the ambiance is definitely a home feel. It's an Italian restaurant ran by a chef who specializes in freshly made products. The service is fast and good. I was fairly impressed with how fresh everything was made and came out in a timely manner. The fresh gnocchi bolognese was really good, every bite was delicious. The balance of flavor and texture was good. I honestly give this dish a solid 4.2/5The pesto pasta was average. The saving grace was the bacon flavor which i never thought bacon and pesto would be perfectly fused together. However too much basil in the pesto kind of took the dish. I give it a 3.8/5.The original bolognese #1 was by far the best dish. Very simple and yet tasted the best. The perfect balance of everything. The noodles were super super fresh and omg this was by far one of the best Italian dishes I have had on the island. Simple but yet flavorful. Solid 5/5.

My friend and I came here on a Thursday evening and it was packed as soon as they opened and after trying the food, I could see why! We got 2pcs of focaccia bread, the garlic shrimp tomato cream spaghetti and the gnocchi with basil pesto sauce + added rib eye steak to the order.Fresh pasta always has such a unique Al dente but soft texture. The tomato cream sauce was my favorite of the two while my friend preferred the pesto but we equally enjoyed both! The rib eye was cooked to a perfect medium to medium rare in some pieces and was very tender - highly recommend adding it to your pasta order! Service was a little slow but it wasn't too bad considering they were packed at 5pm as soon as they opened that day. Definitely a must try place if you're looking for some quality fresh pasta!

This is a small restaurant located in McCully Shopping center on the 2nd floor. Parking is always crazy here. They were busy on a weeknight! My friends and I sat at the bar which was nice because we could see the chefs cooking. Found out it was BYOB so we grabbed a bottle of wine from 7-11 downstairs and drank it in the restaurant. I ordered the gnocchi with basil pesto sauce. My friends got the gnocchi bolognese and the arrabbiata with sausage. They were all so delicious and al dente. I can see why this is trending right now in Honolulu!
