Crispy Grindz

This place was great back in the food truck. Prices have gotten crazy and portions have dropped. Was $60 for my wife and I to eat today with no drinks. Pic of my half full $18 açaí bowl. Every topping over granola and banana is $1 and starts at $14. Funny they have kids size that is supposedly smaller!? Haha

We were so excited to finally see an açaí bowl place in Laie so we didn't have to drive out of our way to get our fix! This place is great because there are some different options that you can't get anywhere else, like condensed milk and Brazilian milk powder (leite ninho) which supposedly makes it creamier. We weren't adventurous enough to try those though and just stuck with the basics, but maybe we'll try those next time. We ordered the sunset blend with goji berries and two build your own bowls. My daughter loved her bowl of just the açaí base and strawberries and peanut butter, hold the granola. She said it was one of the best she's had! My husband loved his as well with almond butter, honey and strawberries. He said this was one of his favorites along the north shore. My sunset bowl was very good as well. My favorite bowls have the tangier fruits like passion fruit, but for a basic bowl this really hit the spot. It's a cute little place with a good vibe next to Foodland in the strip mall. It looks like it has great food options as well that we'll have to come back and try some other time. But if you're wanting a great açaí bowl, this is your place!

The açaí here is very good and high quality! Not too sweet, but also not bland. The employees are very nice and friendly. I have been here a few times and tried the açaí bowls and the açaí smoothie. My only small critique would be the extra topping options. I opted for an extra topping of strawberries for $1. I got one strawberry for this up charge. Seems a bit much for one (cut up) strawberry. Other than that I would highly recommend. Just be aware of how choosing extra toppings could add up quickly for not much topping.

Food is so good and service is so fast! Aunty was so sweet and recommended the spinach and feta pizza and it was so ono. Mahalo!

Very over priced! It's so basic. And you have to add $1.50 for every topping like honey, strawberries, and all those things, if not it's only the acai, granola and banana. For a regular size bowl is $13 that's only with the basic. You add honey, strawberries and blueberries and you're close to a $20 bowl! I would suggest banzai bowls or Haleiwa bowls. They come with all those toppings and more for the same price and it's bigger. Service was good, the worker was nice and made our bowl quick.

The super crispy fries were SO crispy and delicious. All the food was great and the drinks were awesome too!
