Definitely a hidden gem in Waianae located near KFC and across from Mcdonald/Taco Bell. It's not too common to have Latin cuisine in the heart of Waianae, so I was very surprised to come across it since it has been on my bucket list for quite a while. The price might be a little intimidating, but the food is worth it since the portion can be shareable between two people to try different things. We got the: - Camarones Al Ajillo (highly recommend this appetizer!)- Colombian Empanadas - Argentinian Flank Steak - Tripleta sandwich *BONUS POINTS*- very filling portions - the menu indicates which is the most popular- restaurant offers gluten free and vegetarian options -- so you can let them know if you have any dietary preference or food allergies*PARKING*- about 5 limited spots - might be difficult to find street parking*TAKEOUT*- eco-friendly containers $0.20 - take out bag $0.15

Food service was definitely good and was welcomed in a friendly manner by the staff and quick service! Ambiance was nice and place looks small on the outside but definitely bigger on the inside! Lastly food was so tasty and definitely good! It's my first time trying Latin cuisine but tastes similar to Mexican food and I'd say it's the best I've had so far! I shared a Camarones Al Ajillio, Colombian Empanadas, Argentinian Flank Steak and Tripleta sandwich with my bestie and it was Gucci! Certainly had an authenticity to the flavors and everything was just so easy to eat leaving you wanting more after! I would recommend all these dishes that we got and hope to come here again sometime!

INSANE FIND ON THE WEST SIDE I'd like to thank yelp for this helping me discover this spot. Everything I had on that menu and tried from my friends was all outstandingI got the pork shoulder and holy f*ck. It was so juicy I could drink it. Seasoned perfectly and they packed it with foodThe sweet plantains were caramelized to perfection and that rice ?!?! The two girls working were so helpful and the storefront is cute. Seating inside and outside. Very typical island vibes going on and I can't recommend taking the drive here if you're visiting

First timer here. I called in a take-out order on a Saturday evening and was told my order would be ready within 20min. They do have a delivery option thru Uber Eats if you don't want to pick-up your order. The parking lot is small, I was one of six vehicles so be wary of that, they may have more parking elsewhere, but I hadn't looked. When I arrived they had a nice set up of picnic tables for outdoor seating, there was a wheelchair access ramp to the left. The inside was small, but to me it looked cozy, a place you could definitely have intentional conversation. I ordered the Mofongo Garlic shrimp with gandule rice and potato salad. This was my first time trying this type of food and I really enjoyed it, the mofongo was super good with the excess butter garlic and the gandule rice was just perfect for me. So glad I tried this little spot!

The atmosphere of this little up spot has been on my radar since moving to Waianae but we just haven't been able to make it by until this evening. It has a nice, warm and inviting outside area. The inside was closed when we arrived and we sat on the porch as my daughter requested. It's not upscale, though the plates and prices might be. I may not personally be Puerto Rican, but I grew up at backyard parties eating plate after plate of pernil and arroz y gandules. Tostones, empanadas and papas rellenos from a small Massachusetts suburb. My husband is also Puerto Rican, brother in law is Columbian and many of our friends are Latin. So this review comes from growing up and still cooking Puerto Rican dishes. I can taste the Latin flavors throughout the menu from other neighboring areas and I appreciate that they note that on the menus items. So I maybe just a bit biased on this one since I was hoping for so much more than what I got. The pernil here was terrific. Authentic, moist and the best part was I didn't have to season or cook it. I would have loved a piece of the chicharrones! The tostones were good and my salad was mixed greens and okay. My husband had the rice, Argentinian flank steak and tostones. The steak was pretty tender though a solid sear and medium rare would have knocked this dish out of the park. The chimichurri sauce was delicious. I did ask for an extra side of it and it cost an extra $3 for 2oz. I don't know until we received our check. I didn't note that on the menu. We ordered the empanadas appetizer which was delicious, but not a true empanada. It was more like a papa rellenos with chunks of potatoes. As good as they were it was not what I had expected. I saw a review that said they were small but now I see what they were talking about. The accompanying salsa was a perfect addition. Another $3.99 when I got another 2oz side of it. My daughter had a generous serving of rice and french fries with her cut up pieces of well cooked streak. We didn't order dessert. Mofongo is not something I have ever went out of my way to try regardless of where I have been over the years.

I was introduced to this place by my friend who raved about how it was the best Puerto Rican food she had on the island! The space itself is really cute with indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is definitely limited so do keep that in mind if you plan on dining here. My friend and I ordered takeout but ended up deciding to dine there, which they happily allowed to sit at one of their outdoor tables but the server even checked on us even though we weren't officially dining in! I have never had Puerto Rican food so I have nothing to compare it to but it was delicious! I decided to play it safe and order their Argentinian Flank Steak with tostones and gandules rice. The portion was pretty big and the food was very flavorful! My friend ordered the mofongo with flank steak and yuca fritas as well as sweet plantains as her two sides! I tried a little bit of her food and it was really good but I will say that it was a little too much plantain for an entire meal but they do have other non-plantain sides as well. Overall, I will definitely be back the next time I am in Waianae (might have to try some of their sandwiches because they sound really good)!

Oh my goodnessss! Yes! I love this place! My boyfriend insisted on bringing me to try this restaurant after he ate here after a surf session out west. He said this place had some of the best food he's ever had and ordered the flank steak with mofongo.I had been to Puerto Rico and went on a food tour and tasted an authentic mofongo. It was served in a mortar and pestle with a side of broth. You have to mash it yourself and add as much broth as you want until you reach your desired consistency. To say the least, I was not a fan. So I was skeptical of this restaurant that my boyfriend was raving about.Anyway, fast forward, he took me. He ordered the flank steak with mofongo again and I ordered the pork with mofongo. They have a variety of sides you can choose from such as green salad, plantain chips, tostones, gandule rice, etc.I was delightly surprised that the mofongo was so delicious. They cook it with bacon and garlic and you don't have to mash anything up yourself. Why didn't they serve it to us this way in Puerto Rico? The steak and pork were also very flavorful and very well seasoned and marinated. The tostones were crispy, just like I remember in Puerto Rico. There are only a few parking spaces outside. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly.I highly recommend this place, have already been back once after my first visit, and will definitely be back again.
