The Cool and The FascinatingThis review is mostly(I tend to veer off sometimes) for the food and observations of this cateriing service as I was only a attendee and consumption participant. I was honored to be a guest of a couple's first visit to Hawaii welcoming party. This caterers were prompt and professional with the host and guests. They decorated the two food tables with relevant "Aloha Theme" table skirts and the menu consisted of local Hawaiian and Filipino Foods. Fascination #1: I noticed they used those food warmer things with the portable flame thing maggiigy, I couldn't help but take a closer look so I could make myself useful and offer to help light them up, but to my surprise they were already lit and going. These flames were luminescent like and didn't appear to be too visible to my naked eye.Fascination #2: The fruit salad was very pretty, it made me feel shy and underdressed for the occasion lol.Fascination #3: I'm not sure if these guys were in charge of the seats and lights but the best way I can describe the overall look of the food area combined with nearby seating, was that of a worn treasure trove of shimmering delights. Seats were worn and dusty, but I think it was a family friends (guy unloaded it from a truck with no catering logo so) but the imbalance was unsettling (in a crop it out of the picture kind of way).Fascination #4: Where are all the kids here? Oh they are all inside on the couches playing COD(not the fish, a shooter mobile game) or something.Fascination #5 Speaking of Cod(The fish, not the fps game), they had a very tasty battered fish dish here. Very tasty and had a little spice spurt in it. I would eat that all day! The best dish on the whole menu imo. This service is worth checking out if you're into local and Filipino foods. It's definitely Cool, Useful yes, Funny? You tell me!

Cools in Catering by Sinublan is the official catering service provider for the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu, Hawaii. I have been to numerous events in the Center where Sinublan catered the meals (dinner and lunch) and "merienda" light refreshments. There is one word to describe their services. CONSISTENT. The food (especially Filipino food) is consistently and irresistibly delicious. Chief Chef Reynaldo Ramiro always has that magical touch that makes the food look so good and taste so "ono" or delicious. The banquet table is impressively beautiful and the food makes you go back for seconds.Their service is consistently warm and friendly. The staff are accommodating and can almost always anticipate your needs. One case in point: We had a benefit concert and I did not have the chance to eat as I was busy running and directing the show. Without asking, Sinublan staff thoughtfully set aside food for me -- and yes, generously that it amounted to what Ilocanos would call "balon." The staff are thoughtful, courteous, cheerful, and very considerate.Sinublan is consistently prompt and professional. They are able to set up the function hall and banquet table promptly and impressively making it stress-free on the part of the host.Sinublan service is competitively and reasonably priced. Chef Reynaldo and his management team have consistently demonstrated a willingness to negotiate prices and services to help their clients.Cools in Catering by Sinublan provides a consistently excellent service. I strongly recommend their catering services.-- Raymund Llanes LiongsonEwa Beach, Hawaii
