Cooke Street Market

This is the place to get your matcha and hojicha fix! As its name implies, this shop is located along Cooke Street, and parking is typically available on the street (but you may have to hunt nearby for a spot). There's a row of picnic tables outside as well as some seating/tables indoors, though usually it will be full during lunch hour!The shop itself is super cute when you enter; it's bright with an industrial modern feel but with cute art and accessories throughout. Merchandise from local artists line the left side wall as well. The menu has a good selection of items; I usually opt for the strawberry or hojicha matcha latte, but their chicken or salmon rice is also pretty good! My order usually comes out quite quickly, ~5 minutes, and the drink itself is delicious. The matcha is strong and pairs very swell with the sweet and jammy strawberry puree at the bottom, the perfect blend of two flavors!Overall, I love coming here when I'm in the area, and I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone!

I was curious what their strawberry houjicha latte/matcha latte hype was about. Finally try them today. If this is a strawberry drink, they does it well (but the strawberry should be in smaller pieces unless I should drink it with a boba size straw?) but if is a houjicha latte, it kinda fell because the flavor not stand out. Also disappointed that in the end, I still have a lot of strawberry at the bottom that I couldn't eat, not with the skinny straw I used. Since I am the first and only customer there, I wish the associate would also tell me which straw to use (unless it won't make a different). Don't recommend to come here if is out of your way.

Went here for a few drinks on my second visit and had another great experience. Their food is a little pricey but very delicious, so I recommend if you're looking to get a nice bowl lunch. I had the garlic lovers spicy mayo poke bowl which was very fresh and full of garlic. I also got to try masala curry chicken bowl, which was surprisingly flavorful as well.The drinks were just okay in my opinion. The strawberries used were freshly mashed up giving it brightness and the teas used were good quality. What I didn't like was the size. There is one size which was at least 20oz so the drink got diluted really fast. It's nice having a big drink for $8, but I wish there was a smaller size option. The workers were very kind and prompt when one of our drinks was made incorrectly.The cafe inside had plentiful seating and would be a great place to relax while eating.And with the validated parking lot, you don't need to worry about feeding the meter!

What a cute place to enjoy some great drinks or lunch! We decided to order some drinks and poke bowls to go. By the time we sat down to eat it, we were beyond hungry. The first bite was to die for. So flavorful and fresh! We all enjoyed it and will definitely be back. Service was good. Nothing special but they got the job done. Great ambiance for having lunch with friends too.

My ohana and I were looking for a quick bite and something new to try. I referred to my handy dandy bookmarked list of things to try and this was close by. There's plenty of metered street parking right outside. The place is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Seating area has a good variety - table with chairs or benches, lounge-y area and high tops. Bonus, there's even seating outside. There are also locally made merch available for purchase. Bathrooms are in the hall behind the shop, and ya need a key to enter.Stepping inside made me hungrier, it there was a faint smell of delicious food. We ordered a poke bowl and a couple chicken bowls and a Strawberry Matcha. The bowls seemed a tad expensive at first, but after trying it - I realized it was worth the cost. I had the Garlic Lovers poke bowl. OMG. *drool* I was pleasantly surprised. It was so fresh, the flavors were bomb, the pickled veggies were on point and they supply a hefty amount of fish. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was perfectly made - no notes.The cherry on top of it all was the staff. *chefs kiss* They were friendly and they were so good to my little ones as well. I first discovered this place because of their drinks. I saw a special of BOGO for the drinks and had to go get one. Ordered the strawberry hojicha and matcha latte drinks. Very few places have it available. My favorite is the hojicha flavor. It wasn't too sweet. I tried their food item surf and turf (spicy chicken and salmon). Really good as well.Cute cafe with nice decor and seating. They have parking and they validate for 2 hours free after purchasing items. Great spot to chat with friends.

Very kind workers! My friend and I ordered the Strawberry Hojicha Latte and Chicken Marsala Curry Bowl. The worker accidentally made a Strawberry Matcha Latte instead of the Hojicha. They kindly apologized, made our drink, and even gave us the Matcha mistake. Very nice of them! Service was 5/5!The drinks are huge, 20oz. I love that the strawberries in the drink are not overly sweet like a syrup. They taste fresh! The matcha and hojicha flavors tasted a little watered down. I would love if they offered smaller drink sizes. Drinks were 3/5.The Chicken Marsala Curry Bowl was absolutely delicious! They used a marsala oil on the chicken and paired it with vinegar cabbage and cucumber. I love the acidity the vegetables add to the dish! The marsala oil was full of flavor and umami! Food was 5/5!Overall I loved the experience and the inside of the cafe. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

This cute spot was recommended for matcha lattes so we tried it! We ordered a strawberry matcha latte and the strawberry kind of overpowered the drink. It was a good strawberry flavor though as it tasted fresh and not artificial.

This is by far my new favorite place for poke! I get the spicy mayo ahi bowl and the ahi melts in your mouth! Such good quality and the spicy mayo ratio is perfect. I love how it comes with pickled cucumber and cabbage on the side for different texture and to cut some of the fattiness and richness from the ahi and mayo. I think they also have the best strawberry matcha latte! It tasted like they use fresh strawberries and it's a pretty big size too! My friend got a salmon poke bowl (I think it was the hurricane one) and a strawberry hojicha latte and she really liked it too. Getting both the poke bowl and matcha latte is a bit pricey but honestly I think it's soo worth it for the quality you're getting! The place itself is pretty cute and cozy. They have high tables and also a small couch area in the corner. Our order came out within a reasonable time. You have to street park with the meters but I didn't have a hard time finding a spot. Definitely recommend coming here!

We heard there is a parking lot around the back for the building after we went and struggled with parking, which was the only downside of going to Cooke Street! Next time we will definitely try the parking lot. We had been hearing about and seeing pictures of Cooke Street and were excited to try it. There is limited seating inside and the place itself is not huge. They have food and drink options and we wanted to try the matcha. There was a line but it went down pretty quickly and we got our drinks promptly. We got the uji matcha latte and strawberry matcha. The uji matcha was rich and a bit filling -- definitely worth the try. The strawberry matcha was so good with a good amount of strawberry puree that was a nice red color. It was not too sweet and a good size. Next time, we hope to try some of the food.
