Nothing like the movies...When a friend says let's go see a movie it was an unexpected girls night that I'm so down for and was actually quite excited since it's been quite awhile since I've been to see a movie. As it's the holiday season I decided for Pearlridge Center as there's a bar adjacent to the theaters and with lots of free parking just steps away it's perfect sense for this location which is at the Wai Makai side on the upper level sharing space with Nehu Market which is their food court. To purchase tickets and our seats it seems like majority of the theaters has illuminated the box office and is now done inside right beside the food service counter and not sure how they monitor it all as we just walked in on our designated show time without anyone checking or directing us in the direction...not that we needed that but is very strange as it used to be a gated entry now just seems like it's all done on a trust basis. My overall experience is great though the seats seem nice and clean and seems like it all are done with just a handful of staff sadly they all worked efficiently and we enjoyed our screening which was Wicked and it indeed it was!Thank you!

Consolidated Theaters is the worst movie business ever in Hawaii. They manage to destroy and remove just about every if not all our iconic theaters in the state. After over 100 years of giving the people of Hawaii terrible service and ripping them off with high prices and poor quality to include poor management I hope and prey they get replaced or go out of business. Even during the pandemic they are so fake in claiming they care. They continue to shrink the best selling combo meal the Keiki combo that represents our children's movie experience. They take away the simple small brown box so that they can give you a smaller decorative box. Less popcorn and smaller drink sizes and a candy treat that is so tiny, it's not even a sampler size. Today you can't even get a soda drink. You get apple juice smaller than a McDonald's pack.It just gets less and less and smaller.Small hot dogs that are not even smaller but slightly bigger than Vienna sausages!!!!

Well tbh, the good about this place is... it's convenient for us to go to for the movies. But the bad side is, their concession is EXPENSIVE! $52 for a medium popcorn, 2 medium drinks which the lady said was a #2 ($17.00) and cheaper than a medium popcorn ($9.50) & large drink ($10.00), but it seems like the kid charged me for each medium sodas ($8x2=$16). Then I got 2 kids pack ($8x2=$16) and 2 candies ($7x2=$14). Overall everything cost MORE than it's worth! And the popcorn was TERRIBLE! Sorry guys... I usually DONT say anything is terrible but today's popcorn was epically terrible. It was dried out and tasted bland as if it was sitting overnight. You know how you have that left over popcorn you bring home and then forgot about it in the fridge and the next day you eat it, YEAH! That's exactly HOW it tasted. I'm assuming they weren't ready or they didn't prep anything in the morning because we got there around 10:15am and rather than the kid tell us they open soon we can buy tickets inside, he tells us they don't open until 10:30 so we'll have to use the kiosk to buy our tickets. Yeah, today's crew was trying. The manager however was really kind and helpful. Then when they did our sodas, tell me why the other kid didn't pay attention to the foam settling down and refilling it to the top?! I mean $8.00 for a medium drink and you didn't see the soda go down like almost half way??? So BE MINDFUL when you get your drinks too. Especially because people may accuse you sipping from it, so the moment you see you drink BELOW the rim... ask to fill to the top!I'm glad we didn't host the premier here at Pearlridge. I wouldn't have had a great promotion. If anything, I think next week we'll try Olina. Because Ward is a hassle to get to and to find Peking and then dealing with all the crowd just to get to your theater. I'm going to make sure we go to either Kahala or Olina for the next movies. Kahala was pretty decent with the last premier we had with HIFF. It wasn't our movie, but we were guests to the show by the producer and it was simply nice. Anywho, Pearlridge needs a lot of work done to get this place up and running again. If it's open because of it being in the mall, then it's a good thing the mall is still bringing customers in because if they were stand alone, I think they'd be shut down by now. Even the theaters wasn't that great. The seats were all peeling. I think I have a piece of leather STUCK TO THE BACK IF MY PANT ON MY @$$. (PARDON THE FRENCH) But it embarrassing to walk around with something from somewhere else you have no idea of. And then too the theater was HOT! As if they didn't pre-cook the place down or perhaps just turned on the A/C so we were dripping with sweat. I had to find something to fan us down. Only after 30 minutes after the movie started is when it started to get cool. When the movie ended, it was finally cold. I'm sorry... I don't like making bad reviews but today... it wasn't great. The only reason why I didn't make a big stink about it because we paid $1 for today's KEIKI HUI MOVIE. For those of you who's wondering what's that! Well, for the whole summer CONSOLIDATED THEATERS are hosting KEIKI HUI MOVIE DAYS on BOTH TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS for only $1/per person. (YES! EVER PERSON MUST PAY, INCLUDING PARENTS) Anywho, the movies are pre-selected for the week and they both are a ONE TIME SCREENING @ 11am on both days. So, my advice is... if you want seats PREPAY for your tickets. But it's gonna cost you MORE than a dollar per person. In fact, it'll cost you $3.14/per person to process the tickets online, to pre-order in advance to PICK YOUR SEATS & then to pre-purchase and reserve your spot and tickets for that day! Worth it?! SURE! If you have a large group of you. If not and it's only 2-4 of you, you can chance it and go in to Oy that $1 fee. And when I mean $1/per person, I mean $1/per person! Only problem is... you can't choose your seats SEE! Those who PRE-PAID will have their seats before you! Like us we waited to go in and had to sit I. The very front row. However, I was FINE! We tried moving to the row behind us AFTER 10 minutes into the movie, tell me why the lady and her 3 kids and their grandma are standing at the end looking at us in their seats. HAHAHAHA! SHUX! We thought we got lucky in that one. Anyways, if you can't make it too far, Pearlridge is an option to watch these $1 movies, otherwise... I'd say chance it to another consolidated theater for better tasting popcorn. lol! Kk thanks for reading guys! Have a good one.~CIAO!

Ok, so ffwd a couple of years later and the chairs in some of the theaters are just plain terrible. Broken or scuffed and unsightly. You feel like you're going to catch some bedbugs or something from it. Seriously, sometimes I start itching just sitting there. When we get home it's straight to the showers and the clothes go straight into the washer. It's a shame, because they added pool tables, but I think they should've kept the claw machines too. They have the room for it. I get they want entertainment for older folks because they'll spend more money, but there's a bar outside now so why would they care to come in there to drink? Unless it's just for the pool. Anyway, the 3 stars are for this place being the cheapest theater with reclining seats. And the people in there are good. Never caught any attitude from anyone, all just doing their jobs and being nice. I appreciate the staff. The bathrooms are always clean! The cleanest bathrooms in any theater. I'll still be going here but take a sheet to cover my chair with. lol

Service was so slow and bad, been going to this location lately to give business to this location since I grew up going to this theater. Canceled ticket even though did through app, ate the fee. Probably the last time I ever go to a consolidated theater ever.

We wanted to change it up and check out a theatre we haven't been to. Not as chaotic as my experiences at Regal, but still could use some room for improvement. The workers there would ask me for my ticket every time I went to the bathroom. It felt very excessive. Treated me like a criminal by asking me for my proof of purchase/ticket over and over. Some chairs were clean and comfortable, whereas others were worn down and tattered. They may need to replace the chairs in the popular middle hotspots. At least it was recliner seating. Another con was the people in the audience were talking very loudly which was disturbing to my movie experience. I wish there was someone to monitor that behavior. On the positive note: Growing Up Local was a great movie for $4 Cinema Day. Recommend. Only playing in select theatres. It was convenient to have the food court right outside so you can grab food before/after the movie. Hopefully they can fix some of these issues and I might consider coming back.

Came for National movie day. Great deal for $4 a ticket. Saw 2 movies. Maybe because of this, staff was on high alert checking tickets. They also checked each time coming back from the toilet. A bit annoying, but perhaps normal for a high traffic day. Recliners all functioned properly. Seemed to have more cushion than the nearby Regal. Some upholstery needed to be replaced but not as bad as Regal Pearl. Not too cold or too hot, but could be a little colder. Tray tables swivel and are nice feature. Men Restrooms were mostly clean, did not smell bad like other theaters. Overall, not the best, but not the worst. Better experience than Regal around the corner.

Hubby won free tickets to see a movie. I definitely thought that was cool. We had an extra ticket but we just went us three which was hubby, me and our daughter. The movie was pretty good. The seats were reclining and had movable tables but it looked old inside. You had to purchase and or check in at the kiosk. Hubby had a little trouble trying to check in at the kiosk but managed to print out our tickets. The seats were comfy and sound was loud lolIt's fairly a smaller theater. I would come back if we are here but I like the Regal theater in Pearl City better. Just an average theater.

If you like the smell of grandmas basement this place is for you, leather seats that are sticky, small screen, and chairs that sit all the way up to block your view! Super small and not too enjoyable. Go to consolidated theaters in Mililani... that's an amazing theater ran by the same company. I was confused on why this place was a ghost town when I came in but now that I'm here watching a movie I realize why. Pros: candy was good and bathrooms were clean. Cons: stinky basement smells (could be good for horror movies), leather seats that get sticky cause the humidity, small screen.
