ColorWhims- Hawaii Party Entertainers

We hired Color Whims for our son's first birthday. We booked a package that included a live band, light MCing, face painting and balloons. We were in corespondence with Kelly who was helpful in getting us the package we needed. We also got a 10 percent discount from Yelp!Kelly was our point person and helped coordinate our timeline. She also was the laision with the band. Before the party, I sent her the script and timeline.On the day of the party, the band showed up to set up at 10a for our 11a party. They said they thought they started at 1030a. I said they started at 11:30 a.m. Kelly (Balloon artist) and face painter came onsite at just about 11a.One major disappointment I had was that the MC refused to facilitate our script. We thought it was farily light and simple, including directions to the bathroom, where the rubbish is, then calling up various people to help facilitate the program and games. Luckily, my sister in law stepped in and did the MCing.The quality of the balloons was excellent, as well as the face painting. The live band was REALLY good, loud, and brought excellent energy to the party. Everyone complimented us on the entertainment.Eddie, the band leader, brought us a screen and projector for our slideshow. It went off without a hitch.The band continued to play until after most of our guests left. Unfortunately when they took their break, most of our guests started leaving. In hindsight, I would have everyone sang happy birthday a little later so people stuck around to hear their second set.Also, I asked the face painter if we could make announcement that they would be closing in 15 minutes and she said no because people will line up for their face painting/balloon. I thought that was the point. But, oh well. Maybe people luckily got their face painted and balloon early.Overall, it was a little disorganized, but it came together and was a nice party.

Very professional and extremely talented face painting! My friend had them at her baby's first birthday. My original face painter bailed so I called colorwhims and they were able to accommodate me less than a week before the party. The girl (I think her name was Britney?) Was on time, friendly, professional, and AMAZINGLY TALENTED! My party guests were just gushing over her and how the face painting really made the party for the kids. This was the best face painting I've seen!Knocked off one star cause it was a little more expensive than the other person I was going to go with and the communication with the company had a few problems but it was a last minute booking so understandable. The quality was defiantly worth it in the end!

We booked Color Whims for face painting and magic show. To our surprise, face painting and magic show package was affordable and within our budget. We're very elated to work with a professional and talented team! Families and friends, both children and adults were amazed with their service and performance. Art painting was done naturally by hand. No airbrushes. No templates. Many of our relatives and friends complimented Color Whims staff and thanked us for having them because face painting plus magic show was a real treat! Excellence and happiness resulted in a parent that requested for ten business cards from the owner and a young girl that convinced her parents to purchase a painting kit because she wanted to be a face painter. We love Color Whims for their top quality results and unforgettable experience!

This is not your ordinary face painting. This is like extreme face painting! I mean, you really get more than your money's worth when you go with Colorwhims. How I heard about them was my boss went to the Baby Expo last year and got all kinds of flyers because I was pregnant at the time and she was already thinking of my unborn child's 1st birthday party. We also had a company summer picnic that we were looking for things to do for the kids. So when she came to work, she gave me the flyer and told me to contact them about prices. We ended up going with them and I'm soo glad we did. Every painted face was done free hand and was simply amazing. Whenever someone mentions they are having a party, I always suggest Colorwhims. ...and now almost a year later, I am planning my son's 1st birthday and Colorwhims will be there. :))

"Face Painting". When I think of the term I get flashbacks to some of the small elementary school fairs I used to attend where they'd draw simple flowers on your face or just put temporary tattoos on your face. Kind of "ghetto", but hey at these fairs everything goes towards charity so what the hey, why not?With ColorWhims, there is nothing "elementary" about them at all. Every design is a personal work of art and your face/body is their canvas. They've done dragons, fairies, elegant flowers, and their staff is quick, professional, and incredibly talented. You'd look at their end result and think "you must've sat on that chair for hours in order to achieve that", but no! Not at all, don't worry. you can still have time to party and have an artist personally design something cool for you. You want a flower? Don't expect a basic 5-pedal flower drawn with two colors. Expect an elegant bouquet of exotic flowers drawn with a wide gradient/array of colors! Even if you don't want one on yourself, you will definitely still marval at their talent.

We hired Colorwhims to do face painting at our son's birthday party and they did an awesome job. The kids loved getting their faces painted and the quality of work was great. They were also easy to contact and their pricing is reasonable. We would definitely hire them again.

Marisa was amazing! We had her do face painting at my daughters 1st birthday party and all my guests had complemented on all the creative designs. It wasn't only on the face too! I saw some painted on the arms (for people like me that was too shy to get it on the face). Communicating with her was easy via email. Her website was a little confusing to me and could be a little more informative, but she filled me in on everything with her first contact with me. I really recommend ColorWhims, you won't be disappointed!

DISAPPOINTED.I didn't even get past the planning stages. The owner was not very responsive to my messages. Initially, I emailed ColorWhims through their online form on their website so I can get more information for my niece's first birthday party. I did not find a response in my email so I thought, okay, maybe I'll get better luck on Yelp.The response time on Yelp said about one week, which, meh, I guess is okay. With this day in age, we like quicker responses! One week after the message I sent to ColorWhims through Yelp, I received a response from Sandy, the owner. In the message, I didn't get much of an answer except that the dates book rather quickly....She had also told me that she doesn't check Yelp as often as other social media platforms and the quickest responses are through either email or text. I then responded back to her message on Yelp, screenshot the message, and sent her an email so I could get more information on prices, etc. To this day, I have not gotten a response and my initial inquiry was three weeks ago. I am very disappointed.
